this was a really good story - don't know why it only got three stars - kr - Mar 23rd, 2005

This was a very early Xena story, before Xena became "indestructible". You can tell because the climatic fight scene that happens between Xena and her opponent at the end of the story will make you wonder if Xena has met her match. The woman of many skills has tough time defeating her enemy which is why this story is so engaging as it makes for a very exciting read. She takes some really hard hits here. Highly recommend this story for the Xena and Gabrielle relationship which is strong, affectionate, endearing and sexy along with a plot that contains intrigue and adventure. - kazy - Jan-31-2013
