| An intense story which started when Xena and Gabrielle arrived in a mysterious town with a forest that held dark secrets. The emotional turmoil faced by the duo was very well done; Gabrielle's descent into madness, Xena's faith in the bard when she was accused of murder... the supporting characters were properly developed too.
