This is the first time that I've thought to comment on a piece of fanfic, but I liked the story weaved by Skylark and Cath. Three timelines one message. A job well done, by you both. Thank you for sharing....I loved it. - ne-ne - Apr 8th, 2003

I really enjoyed this story!!! I love Mel and Jan stories...especially with flashbacks that tie it all together...ahhhhhhhh...gives ya the warm fuzzies! - loubug - Dec-25-2006

Wow, this story was so fast paced, so adventurous. It would have made a great episode, minus the Mel and Janice part, which didn't really seem necessary to the plot, at least not for a Xena episode, a story that was way better written, far more original than the the episodes 'Life Blood' and 'Kindred Spirit'. Thank the Gods for fan fiction writers who know these characters so much better than the staff writers, that have their fingers on the pulse of the fan's perception of Xena and Gabrielle's relationship. This story would have been perfect for season 5 as it was Xena light, Lucy being pregnant, and it highlighted Gabrielle's (Renee's)skills, which is also another aspect the show failed to do while Lucy was immobilized. It had angst, with Xena wanting to move on and get away from the stagnant Amazon life, while Gabrielle wanted to stay. Their imminent separation, but it showed the indomitable love Xena had for Gabrielle and it even had something for the het fans, the usual guy who fawning over Gabrielle, flattering her but unable to score, like the guy in 'Back in the Bottle', and so many others. So all in all, a great story that the show never filmed. Too bad. Highly recommend reading this. It really moves. - Karon Reiter - Jul-18-2011
