The series is great, but - OMG! - you are killing me with the stopping mid-event. lol. Keep it coming! - jaeygatsby - Jan-24-2008

I think I'm beginning to fall in love with these stories. Who doesn't love a good cliff hanger? If you can leave your readers loving you while hating you for the very same reason...you're a darn good bard. Can't wait for the next one. - nicole938 - Feb-04-2008

More, pretty please with a cherry on top. - Anonymous - Feb-05-2008

Trial by Fire by Vilia Kinell
Original / Uber | Modern | Alternative | Romance (alt) | Novella - 51 pages | Finished | Aug-07
Cast: Erin, Alley, Ruby, Ginger
Honors/Awards:  #54 in 2007     Top-25 #1.
One day I found myself at the local loony-bin after a suicide attempt. During a fire I stole an identity in order to escape. So far all was just dandy, but I didn't expect to find a love interest in the midst of everything, let alone one that remembered my name -and the stolen name at that& This is the story of how I came to find certain truths about myself - all the while by lying to the one I loved most.
Oh I love this one! It's funny and tragic and sweet and some other stuff too. It changes directions depending on your mood! COOL! Love it. SEQUEL SEQUEL SEQUEL - U.NoHoo ;) - Aug-17-2007

Gah! You can't leave it like that!!!!!!
That typed, all I can say is that this story very much becomes what the reader makes it. Very interesting plot that can be considered either comedy or drama. Or both mixed into one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - Anonymous - Aug-23-2007

If you want to laugh at a serious matter this is your story! I've never laughed so much at a serious matter and not felt guilty about it! Can't wait for part two! - Bd - Aug-24-2007

What a truly delightful read! Despite the dark tendrils of self-destructiveness and depression, Erin is a remarkable young woman. I see a lot of people in her, myself included, and I simply cannot wait to get to meet her and Alley again! What will their future hold?
Would be an annoying cliffhanger if a sequel wasn't planned but since one is on the way - Read this one now! - Lindsay - Sep-15-2007

Is there really a sequel to this? Where can I find it? If that doesn't tell you what I thought about this story, I'll just spell it out..... LOVED it! - LMitz - Feb-02-2009

SEQUEL PLEEEEASE!!!!! - intheair - May-21-2011

i am going out on a limb here, but i assume the sequel referred to by some readers, is not coming.. not after 6 years since the first installment.. so the ending should be considered as just that: the end of the story.. the story is well written, no doubt about that.. one reader said that it changes depending your mood.. i agree.. but i think it is more of a tragic than a comic story.. some people get so lost in their own mind, they fail to see the bigger picture and lose all perspective.. this story is a brilliant testimony to that.. - xtra dog - Feb-03-2013
