Part 1 of the Seven Wonders Series
Series List: Aftermath: The Tree Of Life, The Hanging Gardens, Unconquered Sun (The)
When Xena the Conqueror meets Gabrielle the Oracle in this artfully constructed crossover tale of intrigue and violence, romance is not far behind. The fates of Conqueror and Oracle intertwine with Romans, Amazons, betrayal and unexpected alliances. The ensuing events weave a tapestry of revelations about what binds the two opposites.
This is one of the best Conqueror Stories Series out there. A MUST READ! - Veronica - May 27th, 2003

It is always a delight to read a good conqueror story and this one is very well done. - filfil - Apr-06-2007

This story is very well written with a good plot line and character development. - Anonymous - Aug-21-2010

What a great story. Very well written. - sassy123 - Oct-22-2010

really loved the way the story evolved.. from a very dark setting to humor and romance.. loved the way salmoneus made an appearance in this story.. he fitted in nicely and set the tone for the beginning of the 'lighter' part of this story.. credits to the author, job very well done.. - xtra dog - Oct-27-2011

I stumbled upon this fascinating tale tonight, and I'm so glad that I did. This is a compelling story about the darker as well as the lighter sides of human nature with a Twilight Zone twist that will stay with you long after you've finished reading. A must read! - Renee - Jan 1st, 2005

I wandered in and found this little gem. The author, with the aid of a great slab of humour, paints an accurate picture of an all forgiving diety served by intolerant individuals. A must read for the enlightened. April 2008 - highlander - Apr-28-2008

Although story is short it lingers with you in an unexpected way after you've finished it. Brilliantly put. - Jessica - Sep-28-2011

Part 2 of the Seven Wonders Series
Series List: Aftermath: The Tree Of Life, The Hanging Gardens, Unconquered Sun (The)
In the sequel to 'Aftermath,' XWPFanatic offers us another wonderful story. Influenced by Agatha Christie's novel 'And Then There Were None,' the Conqueror and her Oracle's trip out of Greece finds them in quite a conundrum, and a cast of characters that will keep you on your toes awaiting the clever finish.
This story delivers a well-constructed mystery, as well as an even-handed exploration of the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle as Conqueror and Amazon Queen. Highly recommended. - ab - Apr-04-2009

What a great story. Job well done. - sassy123 - Nov-10-2010

Very clever how XWPF incorporates Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians into the story. As a rule I don't much care for sequels but this one is first rate. - Richie - Nov-11-2010

Loved this story.Great job. - sassy123 - Dec-03-2010

the author surely accomplished what she set out to do: write a mystery.. i don't really care where she got her inspiration from - though getting it from agatha christie is nothing to be sniffed at - because this story was well written and not just some bland copy.. as in the previous story in this series, xwpfanatic was able to capture the characters from the show quite well.. i'm looking forward to read the next story in this series.. - xtra dog - Oct-28-2011

A delightfully sweet story. Gabrielle is feeling a bit insecure about her place in Xena's world- to reassure her Xena "counts the ways".
So incredibly sweet. Had me grinning the whole time. Take 10 minutes to read it. - BigZee - May-16-2013

For the romance fans. Sigh. :) - Anonymous - Oct-08-2013

love a good conqueror story! anyone know about "Queen of the Nile"? - opireaus - Sep-04-2007

Wow!...this was absolutely wonderful! Well written and full of all the good stuff!! I loved it!! - JC - Jan-29-2008

I freely admit to being a sucker for good concerquer fanfic and this seris is one of my favorites, part of "Queen of the Nile" is posted http://www.academyofbards.org/fanfic/f/fanatic_queen1.html - fallendragon - Jan-02-2010

despite the series title: no wonders to behold in this story.. it was funny and well written up to a point.. minon died in the previous story of this series.. as i recall he was hanging from a mast with an arrow piercing his heart in the docks of babylon.. in this story he has miraculously risen from the dead ( a trait i only wish to bestow on xena and gabrielle) and ,
not even having been present in babylon since he was acting as a spy in athens during the conqueror's and queen's absence.. it's a minor detail but such discrepancies do bug me while reading stories.. - xtra dog - Oct-28-2011
