This was the first Larisa story I read. I was pretty sick last week so I re read this story and it made me feel much better. It is a fascinating story of tragedy and triumph with a nice twist at the end. One of earlest and still one of my faves:) - Ri Dec 31st, 2003 |
Very odd story. Got me a little lost by reading it. - Bay Dec 30th, 2003 |
Love By Life….By Red Hope I really enjoyed this story. The emotions could be felt as Starr drove down that road. The anticipation of crossing a spot in the road that was never crossed by a loved one. I personally have done that. Wish when I did cross that path it ended as this great story did. Love is a very strong emotion. In fact it is the strongest one in my book. It can make you give someone the world or in this case bring back someone lost. I highly recommend this story for anyone to read. - Anonymous Dec 30th, 2003 |
Seeing this posted makes it even more special. TY for keepin the series going for little ole me! Even if its nothing more then a fairytail such as this, its wonderful to see such passion, I look forward to some Teddy Grahams an a glass of milk soon! Again TY for keeping this going. I cant wait to see what they cook up next in thier adventures of the heart. - Your Brat Dec 29th, 2003 |
Shady, Thank you my friend for a excellent story in an outstanding series. Its good to know that eternal soul mates can bicker but remain steadfast. Gives me hope to finding that one day whle I walk this earth. Thank you - Anonymous Dec 29th, 2003 |
This is a intensely moving story. A.K. Naten really brings her characters to life and we really feel their pain and their joy. It is a great story and a must read. - Charles Dec 29th, 2003 |
I loved this story. Very short, but a good one. This story show me that we all have to realized that true love might be under our nose. It's a very touching story of Xena and Gabrielle - Bay Dec 29th, 2003 |
I truly loved this story I wanted more. The beautiful relationship that was built up for that family was meant to be explored. Please lets have some more...Please? - jay Dec 28th, 2003 |

Just so you can meet a person who will change your life forever...bad or good.....I like the for good reasons myself....cannot wait to see what happens next with the ladies...so you better hurry up!! - T. Stratton Dec 26th, 2003 |
Deb, Thank You for this wonderful Love Story, It was truely refreshing and enlightning that it, life, all comes down to that most presious word, LOVE! Without that I think we have nothing. Your story shows us that we can all have hope, and believe that good things can happen and Love can sometimes be right around the corner, or under our noses, if we only take the time to look, dream and just believe, it can happen. Thank You for you insperation that love and life can go on, even when your not looking or prepared. Very good reading! - sunnykrh Dec 25th, 2003 |
I am so happy to see this on the top 25 again. This is a wonderful story that should not be missed. I realize that the length of it as well as the fact that it is still a 'work in progress' may hinder some from reading 'Fate' but I have one thing to say to those that may be waiting in the wings....READ THIS STORY. It is one of the best I have ever read. - Jerri Dec 25th, 2003 |
What an excellent story. This is part two of Tango's "The Outsiders" which nevertheless can be read as a story on its own. It takes a different look at the main aspects of X:WP's season 5, drawing out the characters of Xena, Gabrielle, Livia and Ares quite perfectly, while developing a fascinating story which makes far more sense than the s5 we were presented with! I thoroughly recommend it to every Xena fan. - Carly Dec 25th, 2003 |
If this were only what real life was like no one would ever hurt or feel sorrow again with just a few tiny snow flakes....TY for keeping romance alive even if it is only a fairytale, you did very well and I look forward to more of this soon...these ghosts have become part of me and I cant begin to express the joy I get when I know your working on a another one to add to the very first one! TY again for sharing this with me before anyone got to see it! - Wizzy, your favorite Brat Dec 23rd, 2003 |
Oooh. CreepyXena Plus steaminess! Nicely done! - Alicia Dec 23rd, 2003 |

Debbie Dee thank you for sharing your vision of a miracle of love with us. Very sweet story to be enjoyed for the holiday season. - Shadylady Dec 23rd, 2003 |
True love does exsist, but at times it does help to have a nudge from a pair of ghosts or even a angel to help it along. Thanks for another great ready. I look forward to more of this! - Anonymous Dec 23rd, 2003 |
A friend highly recommended this bard's story and boy was she right! The characters are so alive and believable they draw you right into the story. And what a story it was...well done bard, well done. Any chance of us seeing more of Sam and Riley? - Donna Dec 23rd, 2003 |

How wonderful to see Cat and Billie again! A very thought provoking tale. I highly recommend it. If you have not read the entire series you are missing out. Just make sure you get the correct link for the ending. I hope to see more in the future. - Cheryl D Dec 21st, 2003 |

Wow...I'm not usually an Uber fan, but this wonderfully weaved story had me sitting at my computer for *hours*. Read it!!! - Alicia Dec 20th, 2003 [Fan Fiction Editor's Note: This is the first of a series that continues with Valerie (63 pages), and Alix and Valerie (90 pages). |
Simple and sweet. - Alicia Dec 20th, 2003 |
I seem to run out of words when it comes to this, but youve done it once again my dear! can I just say I told you so, many months ago,you can do it and now, look at you go! I look forward to more each week from you! Thank you for trusting yourself an my words that "you are THAT good!" - Brat Dec 20th, 2003 |
Short but very sweet. It had two of my favorite elements - time travel and a couple that looks like a certain blonde and dark haired woman that I know and love. I only wish that the part with Drew and Cameron was slowed down and expanded a bit. In any case, I'm glad that I read it. - Gabsfan Dec 19th, 2003 |

this story is great it has every kind of story there is i hope more will come from Colleen - Krysta Dec 17th, 2003 |
I have truly enjoyed this series. This is a must read from the first, Phone Call, to the last, The Final Ring. Lady J and Dimples have put pure pain and passion into their writing. I highly recommend this series to anyone who has ever had a broken heart. - Sharon Dec 17th, 2003 |
Excellent. - Anonymous Dec 17th, 2003 |
"High quality erotica" - Anonymous Dec 17th, 2003 |
This wonderful story takes some of the elements of X:WP's fifth season and weaves them into a new and exciting tale, capturing the true spirit of the show. Excellent! - LadyKate Dec 17th, 2003 |
Again, Shadylady must have looked into my heart and seen the pain that was buried there. I agree, well written and touching. - Anonymous Dec 16th, 2003 |
Very good story just as I would expect out of SL since I have been reading all her stories. Very entertaining. - Anonymous Dec 16th, 2003 |
It is so hard to believe that you could create a totally febricated story while strictly adhearing to the Xena cannon of episodes so presicely. This story was so Xena episode style and Gabrielle was sooo in character that had this been submitted in script format for the series to close Gabrielle's storyline on the show, this definitely would've been accepted!!! The circumstances Gabrielle faces never seems out of character and you effectively captured the essence of her spiritual search and growth in this story as it is portrayed on the series. This is my favorite Xena fanfic ever because it gives a closure to Gabrielle's character that would be expected to come out of the Xena cannon. - Mark Dec 16th, 2003 |
I had a wonderful time reading "The Temptation of Eve" because I am a born again Christian, good job on the Biblical aspects by the way, and because Eve is my 4th favorite Xena character. Xena, Gabrielle, and Callisto being the first 3. This story, like all of your Xena fanfics, was done really well. I found Eve to be in character and your knowledge of kabbalic principles is impressive. The circumstances of the story matches a predicament that Eve would definiately find herself in. I was astonished by the drama Eve faced as her temptations of darkness grew and how skillfully you crafted the balance of the darkness and light within her without having her appear to be double-minded, which the Bible clearly condemns. I enjoyed reading this story so much that I'm printing out copies for my mother and my god-sister to read because they love anything Bible related. When you began talking about the parralells between our universe and the Xenaverse, it struck me as funny because "The Temptation of Eve" parralells with my 2-part Eve pilot script. Both stories are about Eve finding a balance between the way of love and the way of the warrior. For future referrence if you ever plan to write another Eve story, read the book of James in the New Testament. Its a very short book that's 4 to 5 pages in most Bibles and gives Christians guidelines to properly following the faith. That's what I'm using to explain Elisian principles in my script. Actually, I'm using the book of James in the New Testament and the book of Leviticus in the Old Testament to make it sound like a crossroad religion between Judaism and Christianity. Once again, great story. - Mark Dec 16th, 2003 |
The revisions you made to the clonefic were very good but very few. Its mostly the same story that I first read 2 months ago. But the beginning was done very good because it will grab the readers attention immediately cuz the lab wasn't as neatly packaged as it was shown on tv. The Xena and Gabrielle in your clonefic story seemed more real as historical figures and real warriors than the fantasy warriors they portrayed on the show so I especially enjoyed that part. The story was great and the revisions made it better. Could've used a few fight scenes, LOL. I have one question, the historical claims the clones were telling Ray about? Were Ray's historical claims made up by you or were the clones historical claims made up by you? Since I don't know too much about the period they were talking about, I don't know whose claims were made up by you the author, and which claims are really historical fact. Either way, great story. - Mark Dec 16th, 2003 |
What a well written story. Thank you Shady for the insight into these characters lives. It is a true pleasure every time I open a new story from you...Thank you. - DBC Dec 15th, 2003 |
I have no idea how I could have missed this one for so long. This story is abosolutely FANTASTIC. Each and every page is filled with humor, suspense and romance. I LOVE THIS STORY, one of the best I have ever read and I have been reading stories in the verse since day 1. Hats off to D E Salsbury. - Samantha Dec 14th, 2003 |
Very funny - Anonymous Dec 14th, 2003 |
I totally loved this story!! Katia N. Ruiz did a BEAUTIFUL job in this story. Battle between lost love and finds in totally different person. I loved how Noemi endure the loss of her beloved, find Terri, a lonesome person carry the baby of her bastard brother. How they both over came their agruement; their will of their own lives, and stands together as one. How they have friends, family that truely loved them. I loved how close Noemi's mother and father are close to one another, and her best friend, Victoria. She stand by for her friend, Noemi, and guide her to her trouble times. I'm crossing my fingers for the next seaqual to this exciting story. Thanks Katia, for your for love of writing. Keep it up. - Bay Dec 13th, 2003 |

I see so many truths in this not only for myself but those I meet in daily life!TY for speaking what we have all felt at one time or another...... - Your Brat Dec 11th, 2003 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] I truly love your Billie & Cat serie and hope that this is not the last. I can't wait for the next. The only thing I find a bit of a down-point is the way you jump at the ending. We don't know what happens between them being found and getting beter. It would add even more pages to the story if ya work that out just a little more :) Don't stop writing ... you're way to good!!! - Bacchus Dec 11th, 2003 |
Read the hilarious tales written by Shadylady and Wizzy and nearly split my sides open laughing. It reminded me of some of my own escapades. Thank you for making me laugh - more please. - Lynn Dec 11th, 2003 |

I really loved this story, I found I could not stop reading it. It was a fascinating idea that I had to find out what happened to Xena. It gave such a strong veiw of Gabrielle in this story she was the hero. I really loved it! - Ronnie Dec 9th, 2003 |
She made me do it! That's my story and I am sticking by it. Wizzy has brought more laughter into my life than any one person deserves and I could not resist sharing it with the rest of the world. Never have I laughed so hard. This keeps up and I am going to take stock out in Depends. Thank you, Brat, for keeping me lively and young through your spontaneous laughter. United we stand. - Shadylady Dec 8th, 2003 |
It was a pleasure writtin this with you...the laughter of these events was something i will never forget! from boots to dogs to bras whod have thunk it??LMAO If not for you my friend, i think i would have gone completely insane, for even through the laughter an tears, we've stood strong! Ive said it before an Ill say it again..ALL FOR ONE,ONE FOR ALL!! - Wizzy Dec 8th, 2003 |
Poetic and sexy..just like Gabrielle. Nicely done. - Alicia Dec 8th, 2003 |
How cute... :) - Seven Dec 7th, 2003 |
I guess my partner was tired of me bitching about the scarcity of classic X&G fanfic and (after I overdosed on uber's) she searched this site and found this delightful author. All I can say is this bard is one excellent writer and I know I'm going to enjoy reading the rest of her stories if this one is any indication of her talent. - Kaye Dec 7th, 2003 |
I really enjoyed this story. Very sweet. Would have been nice to see a little romance between the two main characters, but it was still very sweet. I'd rate it a solid 3/6. - Jojodyke Dec 7th, 2003 |
Well well well... you've done it again haven't you! only part one and already im hooked. can't wait for part two... actually i can because i have to but i don't have to like it! By the way, your fear of not being able to do sequels? understandable but you have absolutely nothing to worry about! believe me, path of thorns is already starting to shape up as good as the "Edge". Your ability to show a side of characters that are very much set in their ways is very refreshing. Xena especially is interesting to explore from this new perspective. KEEP IT COMING!!! - Snuff Dec 6th, 2003 |
Very good story especially for a first time author. It kept my interest and certainly made me think about many of the ideas the author presented. I would love to read a sequel and I hope the author will write one. - Cheryl Ande Dec 6th, 2003 |
I read this all in one sitting because I couldn't wait to see each stage in the characters' growth. The protagonists start out (as antagonists!) about as far apart as they could be, and yet their movements toward each other are completely natural every step of the way. Very deftly done. - Babs Dec 5th, 2003 |
Chapter 2 and 3 rally build the suspense in this tale!!! Good job Fiur and Vlamme!!! - Michelle Dec 5th, 2003 |
I just got around to reading this story. Too funny. I want more, when is the sequel coming? Please give me more. - Anonymous Dec 5th, 2003 |
Very good story as usual by this writer. I am amazed at the different stories she continues to generate and the many different topics she covers. Keep writing. - Anonymous Dec 4th, 2003 |
This has got to be one of the funniest uber's I ever read! Sexy, good humor and hilarious characters. 10 out of 10. - kathy Giltchz Dec 4th, 2003 |
I really thought this was a good addition to the series. It showed how the girls relationship matured and still gives a hell of an adventure. I really enjoy the scenes between Lara and Aries they are such fun when they spar. - Will Dec 4th, 2003 |
um...um..i am absolutely speechless 'cause if i start to talk, i'll just rattle away never to be seen again... that is probably why under TROPICAL STORM fo g's sake there are no comments - just rating, cuz there are really NO COMMENTS - EVERYONE IS SPEECHLESS!!! thank God (or muse) there are sequels, i couldn't let go of these characters. this bard is THE MUSE. THIS is real, so real you cry, laugh, clap, dance. if you are still here, don't listen to my babbling, GO ON!! READ IT!!! NOW!!! (why are there only 6 points rating!!?? the story is sooo far above) - Katrina Dec 3rd, 2003 |
Grasshopper "TC"..loved it then an its even better this time around...cant wait to see more from you my friend...YOU DO HAVE MORE???DONT YOU??? Love this one an I look forward to more from you! - Wizzy Dec 3rd, 2003 |
I loved this story! This has me literally laughing out loud throughout the whole story. It’s well written and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters. It’s wonderfully intelligent and fun. I can’t wait for this author’s next story. - s.binder Dec 3rd, 2003 |

A classic! So funny and provacative without losing the humorous atmosphere. Nice work, Charmer! - XenasChick Dec 2nd, 2003 |
Wow! How did ya'll miss this one?! How did I miss this one?! Not what I expected at all. Excellent grasp of characters. Nice insight. Believable. Great little story. - muinighan Dec 2nd, 2003 |
Larisa fans scramble to her stories for hootin' laughs and a jolly good time. In poorly disguised incarnations, we have the uber X&Gs, the 2 bumbling stooges and the next best golden-eyed couple stumbling through adventure romances. This ain't the usual. Da Nang is the Best story Larisa has written yet. The agony of Vietnam and the sensitivity with which she explores the broken psyche of Alex while we cheer on her healing romance with Mickey. There's still plenty of action - the hot as well as the gory kind, and the giggles only Larisa can give us. There's more to this writer than slapstick. - E Dec 2nd, 2003 |
[Fan Fiction Editor's Note: The correct link to the sequel, "A Rose in Blue" is - http://merwolf.com/academy/fanfic/j/jp_rose1.html Try again as The Academy may have had some problems.
So glad to see this on the 25 list as it means other folks are out there reading this really entertaining story. Blue & Connor are fun to follow in this love story with a surprising backstory, mystery, family business with mafia overtones. Excellent & often funny banter between the leads as well as supporting character/friends. Written so well, I could close my eyes and hear Blue singing in the club. Also have read the sequel "A Rose in Blue" and is, too, is top notch fun to read. Like these girls so well I'd like to see JP make a trilogy out of it. Too bad JP's addy link isn't working. She is probably missing some great feedback on this one. This is definitely one of those stories you want to read again. - O Ger Dec 2nd, 2003 |
Incredibly tender, touching story of two souls recognising each other through the distance. So real it breathes with life. Thank you, Dreams, give my love to your muse :o) - Katrina Dec 1st, 2003 |
I agree, there is gore galore but I like a story with grit so I was interested right away. I just read it in it's entirety, it's simply wonderful. I can see a Bone Collector 2 with Angelina here ... or is that wishful thinking? It would be a shame if you bypassed it simply because the graphic scenes may disturb you for it's got one of my highest ticks of approval. - Corbeau's Voyager Dec 1st, 2003 |
I have ta say you keep gettin better an better with each story my dearest friend! This one was meant for some contest but I am glad you posted it here intead! Looks great and is an ever better read! - your Brat Nov 30th, 2003 |
This was such an interesting uber I thought that two very different people reaching out the only way they could toward their dreams was brilliant. I often feel sort of stuck and that there is no way out this showed me that where there is expression there is hope. - Marie Nov 30th, 2003 |
Truly beautiful...breathtakingly real...amazing...i'm still speechless...(read the sequels too) - Katrina Nov 30th, 2003 |
Witty, sweet, and everything a good comedy needs. I just wish it was longer. Amazing first time effort. - JenJ Nov 29th, 2003 |

Highly recommend this story to all fanfic readers out there. Not only did i find it intelligent, its unique, and not preachy considering that religion is the main theme. - Anonymous Nov 28th, 2003 |
I *love* Sarcastic!Xena. This story is hilarious and captures her sense of humor well. Nice work! - Seven Nov 27th, 2003 |
What a fabulous tale!!! Cut from the cloth of the everyday working woman's life, Larisa has spun another tale filled with hilarious antics that will raise the lowest spirit, combined with heart-warming romance. You'll have to read this tale to see all Rogue and Turner go through to be together, and to see if they make it. Oh, go ahead, you know you want to...all your friends are doing it...it'll make you feel good...heh. Thanks, Larisa...I needed that!!! - Michelle Nov 26th, 2003 |
loved the funny funny bits. a very enjoyable read. - E Nov 26th, 2003 |
DAMN!!! Shady you are on a role. Great story....needless to say I loved it. Thanks again Shady. Hell! What more can I say, you done good, real real REAL GOOD. - N Nov 26th, 2003 |
Riviting story. I love the twist on one of the greatest love stories of all time. I have always hated how FIN ended. My favorite part is because it makes Xena and Gabrielle live on in the future so to speak. I would definately recommend reading this over and over and over. Thanks for a great story. :o) - Caden Nov 26th, 2003 |
I didn't think I could laugh so hard as I did when I read this one. Obviously it's a spoof developed during a chat, but it's too funny to ignore. A few of these writers got a bum rush a couple years back, but I don't see how anyone this funny could be critisized. Unless someone was jealous. This story is a spoof on all the Harliquin Romances my mother and grandmother read in their day. I don't know what Mother would think of this, but I loved it! - Kylie Nov 26th, 2003 |
A fabulous piece...fits right in with the scenes as we watched them. Very well-written. Kudos! - Alicia Nov 26th, 2003 |
This was a romantic story that made me wonder what our real future will be like. I thought that Meka was a really fascinating charachter she was so loving yet so damn tough. I enjoyed it a lot! - Vic Nov 26th, 2003 |
BON-BON..just when i needed a laugh the most..TY,this was VERY well done my dear! thank you for sharing the laughter with us! - Anonymous Nov 25th, 2003 |
fantastic! It's hilariously amusing with great characters A MUST read. - sam Nov 25th, 2003 |
It's odd. I didn't want it to end; and what do you know, it really didn't end. It's kind of pitiful to get so wrapped up in a bunch of imaginary people; but I hope there is a sequel or something. Dreams wasn't kidding about all the steamy sex. Loved the characters and the humor. I felt stupid for laughing out loud all by my self; then I remembered that no one else was around, so I laughed louder. It took almost a day to get through it but I just couldn't stop reading. - Anonymous Nov 25th, 2003 |
Umm...What else can I say? I mean the story was freakin' great. I think this can go beyond greatness. Greater than great. Greater than greatness. I don't know but I was pretty impressed with the amazing story. Go on, what are you waiting for? Read the story for goodness sake. Why are you still reading this? READ IT! - xluvr Nov 24th, 2003 |
Don't forgt to read the others. Okay, I think I said enough. - xluvr Nov 24th, 2003 |
I don't know what it is. Just kept on getting good and I really, absolutely, positively, did not want to stop reading. Don't want to use a cliche but "it glued me to my chair." Never, ever will get tired of reading this story. I think I can unglue my eyeballs form the screen now. - Meg Nov 24th, 2003 |
WARNING!!! DO NOT EAT & DRINK WHILE READING!!! This story had me totally cracking up at the antics of LaaLaa and Peanut. I recommend this to anyone who has a sense of humour. - Rae Nov 24th, 2003 |
This is an hilareous story. I laughed so hard through the whole thing. I really loved it. - Martie Nov 24th, 2003 |
Larisa can spin a tale like NO ONE ELSE!!! "Bumbled Burglary" is yet another example of this bard's prowess, and perfect mix of side-splitting humor and rich romance. Everytime I read a Larisa tale, I find myself laughing out loud and crying real tears, usually at the same time!!! Thank you, Larisa, for another wonderful story!!! Read this tale!!! You won't be sorry!!! Promise!!! - Michelle Nov 23rd, 2003 |
Oh yes, it is true ! ... chapter 11, part 2 is here and a promise for the conclusion has been made! Rudy and Keagan are alive ... for now! :)A great, great story. - Anonymous Nov 22nd, 2003 |
I love this sweet story what a cute idea. I see why Ri won. - Johna Nov 21st, 2003 |
As always, beautifully written story. It amazes me sometimes how a person can top himself the way this author is constantly doing. Thank you for sharing and hope it won't be long till the next one. - Dimples Nov 21st, 2003 |
This is an extremely well written story, which made the sweet plot even more enjoyable for reading. I can't wait to read more from this author. - Dimples Nov 21st, 2003 |
I like the way your mind thinks..warped,warped and more warped. What a hysterical story. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good laugh! I look forward to so much more from you in the future. - WLASAW Nov 20th, 2003 |
I had the privilege of seeing this particular story before it was posted. When I finally finished laughing I realized why I have dogs and not cats, the sneaky bastards. And in truth, the only good squirrel is a dead squirrel. What a delightfully funny tale. Keep up the good work, my friend. - Shadylady Nov 20th, 2003 |
I was really getting into this story. Loved it, but where is the rest? - xenawp68 Nov 20th, 2003 |
Wow Wizzy that was a funny story. I just kept laughing picturing those animals doing that. Really good job. Keep the stories coming. - Debbie Dee Nov 20th, 2003 |
Well-written story, but frankly it was just plain mean after a while. I wanted to smack Jack for stringing along Sonny. I wanted to smack Sonny for being willfully stupid and cheating on her girlfriend with someone she'd never even met face to face. I kept wondering if someone really could be that naive. I just couldn't wait to finish it to see how much more stupid Sonny was going to get. Not to mention how long it would take Sonny to grow up and see that Jack put her out of business on purpose. She's supposed to forgive & forget and then fall in love with her after that? I know this is fiction, but really! - Anonymous Nov 20th, 2003 |
This is an amazing story! I am so looking forward to a sequel! - Jennifer Nov 20th, 2003 |
I positively adored "Considerable Appeal" and "Undeniable" and now we have "Intuition" to enjoy!!! YAY!!! |
SL.....where the hell were all these women when I was this bartender you discribe?? remind me to give you more details...lmao..and my phone number!!!! Love ya my dear an TY for writting another good story for us to read! - W44BS68 BRAT & whatever else you call me Nov 19th |
An excellent sequel, even better that the first part, The Bartender -I didn't think it was possible lol - E Nov 19th, 2003 |
Geez, where is this bar and I will take one of the bartender. Give us more. - Sue Nov 19th, 2003 |
I find this series a breath of fresh air. Such wonderful loving charachters. I adore Veba and Rickie. Its nice to have a new charachter like Clark, I also enjoyed the thriller aspect of it. What I really enjoy in this series is the progress that Veba is going through. Really well done. - Eli Nov 19th, 2003 |
Since the first time I read one of her stories I was hooked and have converted my friends into followers of Larisa's stories as well.. I was howling with laughter at Peanut and Laalaa.. I do agree that they give Sprout a run for her money!! Larisa ur the best!! Don't stop writing Please.. Can't wait for where she takes us next!! Hugz... - Zyan Nov 19th, 2003 |
A very moving piece of work! - Anonymous Nov 17th, 2003 |
Fantastic story! This author certainly knows how to write. I absolutely recommed this novel. - Anonymous Nov 17th, 2003 |
Great story! I doubt there will be any shortcuts. For Billie and Jewl, the road goes ever on and on... "The Road goes ever on and on. Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, and I must follow, if I can. Pursuing it with eager feet, until it joins some larger way. Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say." -J.R.R. Tolkien - Beck McCoy Nov 17th, 2003 |
Thanks for another great read Shady, I really like the insight into the character, and also the ending....Where can I find a bartender like this? - Anonymous Nov 17th, 2003 |
I must be going to the wrong bars. Never expected the ending, good job. Very erotic. - Anonymous Nov 16th, 2003 |
This was soooo funny! I love and adore Baby!!! How could anyone resist such a sweet creature. I needed something to get me out of the duldrums and this was it. Thank you! - Anne Nov 16th, 2003 |
Nyrdgyrl sets the atmosphere so well in her story that if I closed my eyes, I could see my mother and her friends sitting around the kitchen table on a Friday night, playing an impromptu game of bid whist or spades, drinking coffee and gossiping about So-and-So's bad "chile". She personalizes each supporting character in a delightful manner, leaving none to languish idly by while the main characters race selfishly through the story to their own end. This is one I'm definitely saving and that says a lot since I rarely save any to read later. Well done, Nyrdgyrl, well done indeed. - Kaye Nov 16th, 2003 |
I wish the writer would finish this story or find someone to finish it for her b/c it has so much potential. - Anonymous Nov 15th, 2003 |
Lady Kate has created a thought provoking scenario in Equal to the Gods. I've often wondered how Xena could be equally close to both Ares and Gabrielle without losing either of them, and how each would deal with the realities of it. This is not only a good possible direction but the characters and their feelings are carefully considered. They make their choices fully aware of the consequences of their actions. If they have a "happily ever after" it is because they all worked hard to achieve it. This story is one that will be sure to spark controversy and much thought in readers. - tol Nov 14th, 2003 |
I fell in love with the characters the moment I started reading this story. I hope to read more about them in the near future! - Jamers Nov 14th, 2003 |
I think the goblins ate my first comment so here goes again. A. Hawk, you have done an outstanding job as usual in touching the heart of the reader. Your writing brings to mind many thoughts that some of us wish to suppress as if they didn't exist. Your words stir to life those issues that mean a lot to each of us but which we fear to have answers. The question of what if's. Thank you for posting such a heartfelt tribute. - NancyP Nov 13th, 2003 |
Well done Lady J and Dimples. To hear the thoughts of both characters as they struggled with their decisions was truly unique and unusual. I enjoyed this story very much and would recommend it to all. Give us more ladies!!!!!!!!!!!! - grasshopper Nov 12th, 2003 |
Wow! This is a great chapter. Anymore coming? S. Anne Gardner thank you for the next chapter. - Monti Nov 12th, 2003 |
I love how S. Anne Gardner writes. Fantastic chapters 5 and 6. Please keep them coming. - Monti Nov 12th, 2003 |
Dear gods, this one had me in stitches. Peanut and LaaLaa have to be two of the funniest characters Larisa has written...well, maybe except for Sprout. Larisa's imagination must have been working overtime for this one! Don't miss this story!!! - Judy Nov 12th, 2003 |
INCREDIBLE, achingly sweet, tender and sizzlingly erotic tale, loved it :) - Katrina Nov 12th, 2003 |
I was in a mood for a western and I discovered this series and I got so much more. I really loved this series of stories but the end just touched my soul. Wonderful story. Is there a chance that this will ever continue? - Alexandra Nov 12th, 2003 |
the sweetest tale i've ever read :) - Katrina Nov 12th, 2003 |
Hey Hey Shady!! Wow what can I say? For your first story ever, you did one helluva fantastic job. Sorry I'm a little late reading it but damn if it wasn't worth my effort. I laughed my damn ass off at the characters you've created and I can't wait to hear more about them. I'm proud of ya and happy for ya. Congratulations Shady!!!! You did real real real real good, - ne-ne Nov 11th, 2003 |
Hi Shadylady, This is my first time responding to a story that I've read but I wanted to let you know how much I thouroughly enjoyed Mistaken Identity. You are an exceptional talent and I hope that I'll continue to see more from you in the very near future. Thanks again for sharing your talent...It was truly MY pleasure to read. - Jaime Nov 11th, 2003 |
This story was so disturbingly brilliant that I've recommended it to my friends. Taleweaver takes the reader on a nerve-wracking ride through indecision, doubt, fear, terror and loss until you're sure she must be disturbed to write like this! But what I'd like to know is when can we expect more from her creative side? This story should have been published, because in my opinion, Taleweaver writes better psychological thrillers than half the hacks printed in anthology mags. If you haven't read this short piece of fiction yet ... why not? - Tim Nov 11th, 2003 |
Amazing...how A. Hawk can express the deepest emotions that most of us keep hidden away inside our souls. This pulls on the heartstrings and brings to light how terminal we really are in this universe and how we need to be more aware of the gifts of love that we should treasure every short day of our lives. - Katelyn Nov 11th, 2003 |
Oh my, this is the best of the series so far. I think both Veba and Rickie are developing it is such a fascinating story line I can't wait to see what happens next. I really am happy to see this family growing strong and I adored the ending. Well done! - Toni Nov 11th, 2003 |
I must have missed this beautiful love story when it was posted. I am so glad it was metioned on the list. It is a sweet love story and I really needed the bright spot on my dark and gloomy weekend. - Ronnie Nov 10th, 2003 |
This just gets better and better!!! The suspense is really building!!! Great job, you two!!! - Michelle Nov 9th, 2003 |
Fantastic story. I enjoyed every bit of it. Great job. - Bug Nov 9th, 2003 |

Tay is incredible, her reasoning is PRICELESS!! my brain and my heart thank you. give my love to your muse - brilliant work. - Katrina Nov 8th, 2003 |
Treat yourself and read not only this new story by Erin, but check out her others in the Archives as well. Characters are always fleshed out so well and the story lines are not only colorful & interesting ranging from romantic to mystery, but varied in occupation & locales. I could liken her to many other well known bards but she deserves her own kudos for her originality and fine writing. You won't be disappointed. - O Ger Nov 7th, 2003 |
I am very proud of you my dearest friend...an to think it took me months to talk you into this an look at you go! I am deeply honored an simple words cant express my excitement to see this one finally finished!! TY for making this one as special as you did! as always, your Brat! - Wizzy Nov 7th, 2003 |
This story is fantastic. It's hard to wait between updates, but so worth it. This part was particularly good. Angst with the family and the girl.....ugh. Can't wait for the next chapter. - swimcap Nov 7th, 2003 |
What a great sequel. It took characters that were already well developed and added to them. I certainly hope that this story will get one as well. It deserves one. - Erica Nov 7th, 2003 |
What a great story. These characters are so well written and developed. The story line was really intereting as well. I highly recommend it. - Erica Nov 7th, 2003 |
[Fan Fiction Editor's Note: The story seems fine now, try reloading it. Part of the First Part seems to be in binary format!! Can someone help? - Recalixa Nov 7th, 2003 |
This is just f**king amazing, f**king amazing :) - Anonymous Nov 7th, 2003 |
Great story...I have been waiting eons for this. It would be interesting to see a follow-up to this, taking place at the end of the three months. Thanks for another excellent body of work. - DBC Nov 6th, 2003 |
Ri has scored once again! This is a wonderfully romantic tale that shows the growth and development of the characters and of their relationships. Wonderful story, Ri. Get out that notebook and write some more! - Littlespit Nov 6th, 2003 |
Loved the story. How I wish that I could have witnessed the pool scene in actuality, with my jar of peanuts and tall glass of ice tea. - Michelle Nov 6th, 2003 |
in a word? Brilliant... - Snuff Nov 6th, 2003 |
Awesome! Funny and very. Nice work!sexy - Alicia Nov 5th, 2003 |
[Fan Fiction Editor's Note: Sorry...unless the author comes forward with a copy for us to post, this story will remain lost as not even Web Archive has saved the works done on Public Forums... L] When r u going 2 locate this story, cause it's still unlocattable. - Mrshbrow@aol.com Nov 4th, 2003 |
My favourite of Brigit Morgan's storys. A very sad and haunting story and so beautifully written it's almost like poetry. - Mark Nov 4th, 2003 |
This is my first time commenting on a story and all I can say is, what an absolute awsome story!!! Not since the Billie and Cat series by KD Bard has a story and its characters, totally captured me. It kept me glued to my PC for hours. I have never seen the movie, but I am betting that Ambrosia's rendition blows the movie away. I would pay great money to see this one in production. I am hoping to see a series of stories based on all of the characters. - Anonymous Nov 4th, 2003 |
The Charani Award for excellence for November 2003 has been presented to Nyrdgyrl
If you enjoy off kilter humor that makes you laugh, groan and shake your head at the same time, then this story is for you. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Chelle has quite the imagination or perhaps its the pickled brain cells (I'm not sure which) hmmm.... Anyway please read this one, you're gonna love it. No really.....truly......honest you will....read it , you'll see. I wouldn't steer ya wrong. - Anonymous Nov 3rd, 2003 |
This is a wonderful short story. As LadyKate said it is not an easy read - it will break your heart. JLynn is a wonderful writer and she captures perfectly the anguish of the Ides of March. - Cheryl Ande Nov 1st, 2003 |
Loved, just loved this whole story. I have read from "A Warrior By Any Other Name" to "Champion". Melissa shows a great relationship with X&G. Fantanstic storylines!! I hope that Melissa has not ended this saga. I know you want to write other fanfic. But fans like me want to know what happens with Dori, how is she going to grow up?? Will she be like Xena or Gabrielle?? Is Xena a demi-god and does that mean she is immortal, where would that leave Gabrielle. Thank you for these great stories, I hope you continue with it. - Bratisme Nov 1st, 2003 |
Looking forward to the next part. - Bratisme Nov 1st, 2003 |
For the romantics out there this story is for you. Dreams weaved a sweet, funny, wonderfully entertaining story. Once you started reading, you won't be able to put it down. Dreams is a very talented writer, it's no wonder this novel is in the process of being published. On a rating of 1 to 6, DEFINITELY a 6. This story gets my highest recommendation. - lucidusgirl Nov 1st, 2003 |
Not an easy read, given the subject matter -- but well worth it. A poignant, beautifully written story. - LadyKate Oct 31st, 2003 |
Very nice take on the conqueror genre, I like the ideal of a strong Gabrielle rather than a broken slave as so many do. One thing that annoyed me was you need to check it for improper word use. (piece instead of peace, rain instead of reign) - Alara Oct 30th, 2003 |
A story of EPIC proportions, the Growing will keep you hooked till the last drop. I've been hooked since the beginning, and have gotten to know the characters and to feel for them. If you haven't read it, I recommend that you do. A battle huge battle is in the making, and if you start now, you'll be able to read it with everyone else. Ladies, thank you for such a great story! - Katia N. Ruiz Oct 30th, 2003 |
An excellent read. I didn't want to stop reading it. The main characters are fully realized and believable. Kim's ability to help Jess face her past and move beyond it was wonderful. Keep it up. I look forward to reading the sequel. Great job, R Nolan! - Kinsey Oct 30th, 2003 |
Excellent finish. Nothing like a good cry. I would recomend this series of stories to anyone. It does give hope. - A. Noni Mouse Oct 29th, 2003 |
Poignant and heart wrenching. Beautifully written and thought provoking. Thanks for sharing. - Kaptain K Oct 29th, 2003 |
I have greatly enjoyed this short series. Lady J and Dimples have really brought out pure emotion that can not but touch us all. Good job ladies. - Jazz Oct 29th, 2003 |
You are so right, you love, you hurt, you live, but something inside never goes away unless you are lucky and find love again. - Anonymous Oct 29th, 2003 |
I would soooo recommend reading this story, I called in sick to work so that I could read this story; I didn't want to stop for anything, not even the world. I settled in with snacks, drinks and a cute ‘lil laptop to read this .. I've laughed out loud, cried like a baby from sympathetic pain and giggled like a little girl again at some of the funnies. The research that has gone into this and keen insight into personal drives and psychology make this a very well developed character driven novel. I loved my 24 hour stint reading this, every minute was worth it. Thank you L. Crystal Michallet-Romero for furthering the FIN ending of Xena and her bard Gabrielle and providing me with a memorable day of reading and pleasure. - Cath Oct 28th, 2003 |
LMAO AT THIS ONE, FUNNY BEYOND BELIEF, A MUST READ IF YOUR IN A FUNK! - D Oct 28th, 2003 |
I know I'm not suppose to comment on myself Ow, and thank you for the nice feedback :). Edge is my personal favorite (don't tell the others, they'll get jealous ;)) so it's really nice to know other people are enjoying it as well :). - Annemaart (aka the author ;)) Oct 28th, 2003 |
This was something that I think it is really hard to do. It is a very good sequel to an excellent story. I really loved it, I think Veba is one of the most interesting charachters in the Xenaverse and it is wonderful to watch her develop. The love bond between her and Rickie is very beautiful and it was great to see Dory happy too! - Ann Oct 28th, 2003 |
I adore absurd altfics and this one heaps it on. Great for a chuckle, it will keep you grinning. The authors should also be commended for their prowess in creating a marvellously descriptive backdrop. - E Oct 27th, 2003 |
loved it BT!! loved it....glad you are continuing this one my dear!!!! - Redwood Oct 27th, 2003 |

Thank you for saying what I have been feeling. After reading this I am able to breath easier. Because someone was able to but into word what I could not. Thank you!! - Anonymous Oct 27th, 2003 |
What a great story. The storyline and characters are so well developed. I've really enjoyed reading about the relationship developing between Alex and Sam. And the supporting characters have as much depth and personality as the main characters. Kudos to the author. This story is a must read. - Erica Oct 27th, 2003 |
Guess they showed who wears the pants! Or doesn't wear them! (g) Hot only barely describes this story. This is one story that will definitely have you wishing for a very LARGE block of ice or for your girlfriend! - J. McNeil Oct 25th, 2003 |
interesting, thoughtful, different, I liked it and thought is a good read, it is very much a new (and not unappealing) approach by a very talented author. - dt Oct 25th, 2003 |
This is one of the best conqueror novels i've ever had the pleasure of reading. Keeps you on the edge of your seats to the very end. MUST READ THIS STORY!!!! great diversity of characters... gabrielle was simply brilliant. Is there any possibility for a sequel? If not then keep em coming! this author has to continue writing... - Snuff Oct 25th, 2003 |
I have just finished reading, for the third time, this thoroughly delightful and most entertaining romantic tale, "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart"...and it's just as wonderful sequel, "All It Took Was You". I equally loved both of these romantic tales. Why not? These two stories are all one and the same...the continuation of a beautifully told 'love story'; the sensational saga of 'Harry and Desi Basantes'. Did I say "Harry"? Yes, I did...but don't let the name fool you. This story(ies) are going to be a delicious surprise for you. And you can't read the first one without desiring to read more about 'Harry and Desi'...thus, your search for the sequel. And what two wonderful stories they are! The first story is so masterfully written to flow ever so easily, ever so gently, into it's sequel. Ali Vali has truly written a most enchanting 'love story'...one for the heart. There are some DV situations that were written in as part of these fictional tale(s), but you'll easily sail through these 'paragraphs' as easily and as smoothly as I did. Because this very talented author has written these two romantic tales so well and in such a manner as to overshadow anything else. And 'LOVE' is what is happening...and where it's at! I can say for sure that you'll never be disappointed in reading anything that is written by this marvelous writer. This writer can most definitely be called a 'bard's bard'! Thank you Ali Vali. - //MjM Oct 25th, 2003 |
Very interesting story. Love science fiction and would enjoy seeing a whole series built around the relationship and the difficulties and prejudices that would be encountered. Good story to whet the appetite - NancyP Oct 25th, 2003 |
outstanding, great story, much better than the movie that it inspired, sequel, sequel, sequel.......loved the interplay between the major an minor parts, a very good and enjoyabe read, MORE PLEASE! - dusty Oct 24th, 2003 |
I still think this is some of the best writing on the net. The story is great and it's damn near poetic. It's really, really hard waiting for part 4, but you can't rush genius. One thing I don't understand is why does the title of the book appear to change with parts 2 and 3 from Inferno to Penumbra - Sharon Oct 23rd, 2003 |
Oooh...what a great Halloween-type tale!!! Gave me goosebumps!!! Well done, as always, Lena!!! It would appear that evil can, indeed, have an address...heh, but you have to read this thrillingly chilling tale to make sure...wa-ha-ha!!! Oh, go on, ya' know ya' wanna... |
Detective A. Zachary and Kerry Longworth meet under the most difficult of circumstances, and find themselves inexplicably drawn to each other. Exploring these feelings proves difficult, however, as life insists on throwing them curve after curve. I found myself glued to the end of my seat right to the end of this action-packed tale. What a ride!!! Alex the Cat has done it again...managed to combine some of the hottest sex scenes in the Uber world, with an absolutely fabulous story-line. Thanks for sharing it with all of us, Alex!!! - Michelle Oct 23rd, 2003 |
Wow!!! You simply have to read this story...no doubt about it...you just have to!!! It is one of the single-most beautifully written and achingly passionate stories I have ever read. Anyone who has ever felt shunned by the world, because of who they are or what they look like, will feel freedom, acceptance, and hope, as they read this tender tale. - Michelle Oct 22nd, 2003 |
First let me start off by applauding LadyKate in bringing us this wonderfully refreshing new storyline!! This story definitely has something for everyone! What I love about this story is that you never know which direction the story will head in. It keeps the reader guessing at every turn. The true sign of a gifted Bard! Equal To The Gods is a must read!!! Get ready for a wild ride! - Angel Oct 22nd, 2003 |
I love this story of love that transcends everything. Its is truly interesting to watch Hilda discover that she does have a heart and someone could return her regard. The wonder of it that she shares is very beautiful and I needed it after a hard day at work. - Randy Oct 22nd, 2003 |
I will never look at a dining room table the same again nor will I take for granted that food on the table is the only item that appeases one's appetite. - #2 Oct 22nd, 2003 |
I always imagined that G & X's relationship changed following The Quest. JLynn gives voice to that change in a beautiful story, using language so heartfelt and lyrical it's almost poetic. Brava! - LDP Oct 22nd, 2003 |
Good start, looking forward to next instalments, get moving kid, thanks - Anonymous Oct 21st, 2003 |
#1, Very good writing as usual. Highly erotic and HOTTTTTTT!!!!. Totally sexy but highly sensative, well worth the read, but now I need a fan and glass of ice water to cool me. - #2 NBP Oct 21st, 2003 |
This was such an unusual story! I loved it. Veba is so sweet and gentle yet she is truly a Xena because this girl is so amazing. I am going to read the sequel too. I can't wait!!! - Jackie Oct 21st, 2003 |
I loved this story!! It´s one of my favourites and so is the sequel Murrok Farm. They are full of love, romance and suspense. READ THEM BOTH!! - Anonymous Oct 19th, 2003 |
I can't think of any other way to describe this story except fabulous. I would highly recomend it to anyone looking for a good enthralling read. I wasn't able to stop reading it until I finished every word, and it's sequel, "All It Took Was You" did it again the next night. Excellent work Ali. - Alex P. Oct 19th, 2003 |
Great story and I especially liked the dedication...Now who can that mystery person be? Hmm...Anyhow, really well written, keep up the wonderful job! - Dimples Oct 19th, 2003 |
Oh my - the final part of this story is so hot! The entire fic was wonderfully written, the emotions were captured so well I felt like I was in fact the characters myself. A must read. - Corbeau's Voyager Oct 19th, 2003 |

Wow!!! Warning, hot, hot stuff, here!!! The amazingly talented DS Bauden has managed to pen another winner in this steamy, romantic, endearingly emotional Terri and Charlie tale. Well worth a read, or two or three!!! Thanks for sharing it with us, Ms. Bauden!!! Big, big kudos to you!!! |
Well heck, I can't decide which side of the bed I want to be on. This has captured the view from both perspectives while only using single person view. Great story, makes me envious of the Watcher. - Anonymous Oct 16th, 2003 |
Too entertaining. Not at all what I expected with its surprise ending. And who says erotica isn't in? So many twists and turns in such a short piece the reader is led on a journey not to be missed. - Anonymous Oct 16th, 2003 |
Well done, sexy story with just the right presence to makes me feel like I was present during the entire mating game. This is one dance I would love to have. - Katelyn Oct 16th, 2003 |
Here I am coming out of hibernation to bring you a recommendation. 'Needing Her' has hurmor, love and romance. All the things a story needs to make it a great read. Have I ever steered you wrong on a story? Don't answer that! Instead, go and read. - darkenedkarma Oct 15th, 2003 |
This bard not only gave me an enjoyable story but helped me clear up some of the angst in my personal life. Very entertaining presentation of issues often skirted over. Especially liked the remark about needing our justice to be black and white. I'm more comfortable about 'not understanding' and am letting go of 'needing to understand'. My employment has me in contact with various news/entertainment media daily. I totally related to Taylor's struggle with her job and self and what to divulge in her writing. Sometimes the media's rush to feed the public's desire to know occurs more like vultures swooping in for morsels with no regard for the consequences of their actions. - suzz Oct 15th, 2003 |
A thrilling adventure with characters that capture the spirit of firsts seasons X&G. Wonderful story. I can’t wait for a sequel! - Pru Oct 14th, 2003 |

A friend sent me a review from Amazon.com and thought the poster was trying to sound like me. It is signed Crystal M.
Let me go on record as saying that it is not me. Not only have I NEVER read any of LJ Maas writing, I have NEVER purchased an uber novel because I'M TOO DAMN CHEAP to buy them!!!
Seriously folks, I'm a student, and when I do have $$, I tend to spend it on other things, like stuff from Creation, not on uber books. LOL ok, thats it for my disclaimer. I simply don't have the spare $$ to fork over for the books, so I'd never give a review to them.

There seems to be a problem with a certain individual, she likes to go on Amazon.com and write BAD REVIEWS using other people's names! Mine is the latest one that she used, actually, she used my screen name but its still me! So, if any of you saw the reviews, I DID NOT WRITE THEM! I would never write a bad review on any Bard and the person who is doing this needs help!
Larisa
More reviews are up on Amazon.com that have my name on them. I did not write them, and I wish whoever did would stop. Why should I be the recipient of threatening letters over something I didn't do? Please, stop making so much trouble...this is really getting old!

This is the third time we've posted a note from a person that been frustrated and angered by critical book reviews that have been posted by someone using their name on commercial websites and/or fan sites. For those of you not familiar with this ongoing problem, let me take a moment to describe what's been happening.
Over the last few months, a growing number of Xenaverse authors of commercially published stories have seen their works attacked on fan sites, as well as commercial sites such as Amazon.com and Open Book. Now, not only are commercially published bards being attacked, but web-published authors as well. These so-called "reviews" have uniformly been unbelievably negative. Not only have the authors' writing been slammed, but at times, the publishers have as well. In many of the reviews, the various authors were also personally attacked. Most of the authors in question have seen numerous eviscerating reviews posted about their works. More and more, these reviews are being "signed" with names of various bards of the Xenaverse. To us at The Athenaeum, this is sickening.
We're pretty certain that all or most of these "reviews" are the work of one person. Her intent is to smear certain authors, while trying to implicate others (sometimes other bards) for her own slanderous words. We at The Athenaeum have had dealings with the person, and the above tactics were tried on our site with our Fan Comments feature last winter. All of the worst attacks that appeared on our site were from the same person.
We feel that this is a truly disturbed individual. She is spiteful, dishonest, and manipulative. We have noted upwards of twenty e-mail address that belong to her, and countless well-developed fictional personas and phantom partners. Often on mailing lists she will have lengthy seemingly authoritative conversations between her various personas. In that, we wonder if she is perhaps mentally unbalanced. This is bizarre, but not truly harmful to anyone, and wouldn't be worth comment if not for the fact that she strives so hard to slander more and more innocent people of the Xenaverse.
The Xenaverse, like any community, has many wonderful, generous, and honest people. Unfortunately it also has some not-so-pleasant people as well. As a credit to the Xenaverse, we feel that there are far fewer troublemakers in our online community, than in real life. We just wish a certain someone would find another hobby!

I started this story as a lark... Wanting to see a Xena/Starwars cross over, I didn't expect it to be any good, but to my suprize it was very well writen and before I knew it I was hunting for more.. - random Oct 11th, 2003 |
THUD!!! - #1 Oct 10th, 2003 |
Ooh...Chapter 1 is up and it's fabulous!!! What a great series!!! Full of dark beauty and suspense!!! Just what the Uber world needs!!! Thanks for sharing it with us, Fiur and Vlamme!!! - Michelle Oct 9th, 2003 |
I've read this story three times over the last few months, and each time I'm impressed and bowled over with Lori's ability to entertain, educate and tell us something about interpersonal relationships without lecturing the reader. I've always found 'Afraid Of The Dark' to be an excellent character study. The dynamics between mother and daughter are too real, but not off-putting. Well done, Lori! - Taleweaver Oct 9th, 2003 |
F**king brilliant, as per usual. Darkbloom is a genius - Jade Devlin Oct 8th, 2003 |
I'm up to date on my reading of "Fire Within" and can't wait for more! These characters have captivated me. The town, the people, the strange going ons and now the monster that is scouring the countryside. It is a breath of fresh air to read a story that actually lets the readers feel 'every step.' A story that takes the reader on many adventures. I have laughed at times. Felt my heart beat faster when things got tense and scary. I actually feel as if I am a part of this adventure. The love the women share is fantastic. Can’t wait to read more of this story. - Jill Oct 8th, 2003 |
A very good 'sexual tension' story set in the Amazon camp. If only the ending hadn't seemed rushed. - Corbeau's Voyager Oct 7th, 2003 |
This is an excellent story. I thought it started a little slow for my taste, but once the action picked up, I couldn't put it down. Thanks for a great read, as usual, KG. - Summer Sun Oct 7th, 2003 |
This is a fabulous story! I loved the interplay with all the characters. The family story vs. the romance story read very well. Ali Vali is one of the most gifted writers with using just the right words. - TC Oct 7th, 2003 |
I'm hooked. It's sexy it's funny and it's a little bittersweet. - E Oct 7th, 2003 |
Without a doubt the most unique and inventive post-FIN story. This beautifully written tale captures of heroism, love, and redemption many of the essential things about X:WP: the mix of wacky humor and "big," serious themes; the moral subtlety and ambiguity; and above all, the heart. - LadyKate Oct 7th, 2003 |
A funny story but also a very touching one, with some really good insights into Ares' feelings for Xena. Whether or not one fully agrees with the characterizations here, it's a very enjoyable read. - LadyKate Oct 7th, 2003 |
A nice change of pace for Xena, visting her family while Gabrielle battles with the Amazon's. The writing is balanced and accurate for both Xena and Gabrielle. A good read. - Corbeau's Voyager Oct 6th, 2003 |
This story is very poignant. - TC Oct 6th, 2003 |
Talk about a HOT story!!! I enjoyed this story very much, but it seemed to end to abruptly. I wanted MORE! - TC Oct 6th, 2003 |
This is the third story of Mayhem's I have read tonight, and, in my opinion, it is this author that is headed for a "winning season"!!! Hot stuff!!! Whew!!! Thank you, Mayhem, for spicing up my night!!! - Michelle Oct 5th, 2003 |
"Jones" is a hot, romantic tale with a surprize turn that will leave you breathless!!! Thank you, Mayhem, for sharing it with all of us!!! - Michelle Oct 5th, 2003 |
WOW!!! Doing laundry is right up there with having my teeth pulled without anesthetic, but, now...hmmmm...gonna have to re-evaluate that I think...heh!!! Thank you Mayhem Incarnate for redeeming laundry day with this positively HOT tale!!! - Michelle Oct 5th, 2003 |
Dimples did a great job of telling this story and she gives the added bonus of an original song; lyrics and music, to boot. I'm offering this story up as a must read not only because I have the privelage of being her friend but also because if you love and respect talent as I do, then you will be more than happy with So Close So Far. Thanks again for sharing D. It was truly a pleasure for me to read. -- - ne-ne Oct 5th, 2003 |
Kudos to Larisa!!!! I can't wait for Larisa's next story. It seems like it has been weeks since this author has posted any new stories. I feel the main component of her stories is her ability to make the characters three-dimensional. I also appreciate that the dialogue in her stories flow giving depth to the characters, even the bizarre characters that she utilizes for comedy relief. A story that really captured my interest was "Day Walker". I'd like to know if Larisa plans to write a sequel to "Day Walker"? Maybe the new antithesis can be demons or Lupines. Thanks Larisa! Wow!!! Talk about suspense!!! Now, I'm dying to know what happtens next!!! This looks to be a great series!!! Top notch!!! Thanks for sharing it with all of us!!! - Michelle Oct 5th, 2003 |
This story is one of the best I have ever read. When I finished reading I was truly moved. A rare thing. Passionate, and enlightening I learned about and felt along with the characters and the culture. Well written and yet entertaining. A must read. - Sam in michigan Oct 4th, 2003 |
This author has an excellent way of making you feel a part of the story. The story has a good pace, the characters and dialogue are believable. The ending was surprising. I am always overjoyed to find an author I can read as soon as the story is posted. I don't have to check for the review to know the quality. Worth the time spent reading. - samson Oct 4th, 2003 |
Okay, I love all of Larisa's stories, but this has got to be the best by far. Excellent pacing and character introductions, with a laugh every half-a-second. - HurlyWurlyGig Oct 3rd, 2003 |
This was very hysterical and will definitely piss the masses off. :) Way To Go! - Xenaboy Oct 3rd, 2003 |
This story is very well written. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. - Erica Oct 3rd, 2003 |
Great story. Short but sweet that stays true to Xena and Gabrielle. While it makes a twist to the movie, while staying some what the same. I suggest to read this story. Another great work by Larisa. Keep up the great work Larisa! - Katherine B. Oct 2nd, 2003 |
I was bored one weekend and i came across this story and it's sequel. I fell in love with it right away. For an uber it really shows Xena's and Gabrielle's personalities. If you find time I suggest you read this story. Larisa I'm still waiting for a third part to this series. Please give me another story. Always keep up the good work Larisa. - Katherine B. Oct 2nd, 2003 |
A beautiful story! I would love to see another story with Jay & Kate. - pat Oct 2nd, 2003 |
A first-time story with an unusual twist. Funny and sexy. - LadyKate Oct 2nd, 2003 |
Haven't read all of "Seasons" yet but I strongly recommend the series. I really enjoyed "Summer" -- terrific mix of action/drama, wry humor, and erotic romance. - LadyKate Oct 2nd, 2003 |
I really enjoyed this story and the modern day Xena characters all playing together in Chicago. The relationship between our Uber X & G was beautiful. Must say, the vision of leather did get my heart racing! - Corbeau's Voyager Oct 1st, 2003 |
Enjoyed the ramblings of A.Hawk. She was able to get me to visualize the interactions between the women without having to second guess what was going on. Thank you for an entertaining story. - Nancyp Sep 30th, 2003 |
Very hot to say the least, made me envious, wishing I were the receiving person. Well done. - nancyp Sep 30th, 2003 |
