I read this story a while ago and thought it was great. This is a little out of venue but does anyone know where I can get a hard copy? I saw a site awhile ago that had used fanfic books for trade or for sale but can't find it again. I was hoping someone could help. Reach me at tylermax@excite.com - tyler Dec 29th, 2004 |

[This Comment contains spoilers.] Fantastic Story I really loved all of the attempts by the amazons to try and convince Xena or Gabrielle to change their minds :) Also loved the body changing episode with Xena inside Auto`s Body making love to Gabrielle and Auto inside Xena`s body making love to an Amazon :) An outstanding story and well worth investing your time in reading :) - Geoffrey Hill Dec 22nd, 2004 |
Have to agree with the previous comment... This story has the makings of a good Xena movie. - jac.. Dec 22nd, 2004 |

I know some of you like to dip your toe in the water before diving right in. You want to take the car out for a test drive before you buy. I can appreciate that.
Just for you, I'm making available the first third of The Cost of Commitment right here, online. That's right, just take the novel out for a spin. Go ahead. And if you love it like I know you will, there's a little something for you at the end of the selection.
Enjoy and be sure to send me your thoughts at authorlynnames@cox.net.

wonderful story... - jac Dec 21st, 2004 |
This is a really interesting story. Any chance the author's going to finish it? - aurelius Dec 20th, 2004 |
I LOVE this story. It is one of Larisa's best and I sincerely hope that she writes a sequel. Please, please, please, write a sequel to this story. As a matter of fact get this story published, I would be the first in line to purchase a copy!! I've read almost all of Larisa's stories and this story along with Blind Date has got to be the funniest to date. If you don't read this story you will miss some of the best fan fiction every written. It has love, laughter and lust; what more could you want. Oh! Yeah, there is a plot and a worm named Steve, that should have been used as fish bait, but what is a love story without a villain. P.S. Can someone tell where I can find friends and a momma like this? - Lasher Dec 20th, 2004 |
Nene Adams is not just a prolific writer but her well researched and marvelous stories are well worth the wait. Though my favorites are the two Sunne tales, I enjoy rereading her other works. Blessings to her and hers. - Christine Dec 19th, 2004 |
AWESOME - Anonymous Dec 18th, 2004 |
What a tantalizing sweet look into a new realm! I was enchanted by the relationship and the obvious soul-searing love these two share. I'd love to see more on them and learn more about the goddess herself! ;-) - Anastacia Dec 18th, 2004 |
One of the best uber story I have ever read. I recommend this story to everybody. Great read. - HopeGab'fan Dec 17th, 2004 |
Wow! what can I say? Another great story by friction. He/she is very talented. Can't get enough of reading this author's stories. - HopeGab'fan Dec 17th, 2004 |
I love this story. It is one of the best Xena and Gabrielle fanfics out there. Definitely in my top 3 favorites. - HopeGab'fan Dec 17th, 2004 |

All I can say is, there had better be a sequel!!! Great storytelling. Thanks! - sapphie Dec 17th, 2004 |
A different first-time story. Refreshing, interesting and nicely done. - aurelius Dec 16th, 2004 |
This is a story that will trap you and then drop you from a great height emotionally, so sit back and hold on. Just one question, will there be a sequel. - LuvTigger71 Dec 16th, 2004 |
One of the best rift stories out there...but also one of the best Xena stories period. This one stands the test of time, as I have re-read it at least 6 times and each time get something new out of it. The slow healing process that Xena and Gab go through emotionally seems a lot more grounded in reality than some of the other rift stories out there (and episodes in the show) where they go for an unlikely "quick fix." Highly, enthusiastically reccomended!! - Lindsey D Dec 15th, 2004 |
Still one of my very favourites. I remember the audio version as well... what a talented author. - Thalia Dec 15th, 2004 |
This is Roo, author of "Sleeping with the Enemy," "Desire," "A Good Kiss," "Prelude to a Good Kiss" and the Mel and Janice alt stories "Home Fires" and "Slow Burn." To help offset more medical bills than one can shake a staff at, I've had a hundred or so copies of "Home Fires" professionally bound for immediate sale. The books are magazine sized, heavily revised and edited and sport a lovely primitive oil painting cover done by my friend, Lori Puster.
If you would like a defaced...er...signed copy of "Home Fires" to paper your birdcage, wrap fish or prop up that uneven sofa leg, please feel free to contact me at roo@cableone.net. The books are a flat $22, which includes postage and shipping.
Thank you so much.
Roo
Nice job, loved the ending. - Sarah Dec 15th, 2004 |
This story is absolutely wonderful. The author really brings Xena and Gabrielle to life, flaws and all. I have read all the stories in the 'Journey Of Soulmates' series, and this is a must read for all classic Xena fans. It has just about EVERYTHING in there, and having just finished it, I have to say it blew me away! - Ang Dec 15th, 2004 |
I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the novel Blood and Honor. It has some very interesting elements and further exploration of them should prove most enlightening. - Linda Dec 14th, 2004 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] BREAKING THE ICE by Mary Morgan From time immemorial human cultures have invested circles and stones (or crystals) with powers of an esoteric nature. Artifacts from ancient times have shown this to be so and ancient Western European cultures believed that stones in a circle had magical, spiritual and healing powers. Mary Morgan's writings reveal her fascination with the subject: circles of stone. In this story one finds all three elements: the alien being is magical, the psychological transformations that occur derive from the spiritual and healing processes. This adventure of the Soulmates is told from the point of view of a woman saved from the sea by settlers in a far northern outpost and subsequently made a virtual slave by them. She was denied common respect so that even her name became what their language signified as Other or *brennen*. During her seven year captivity she had given up hope that her father would come for her so this added to the anger consuming her. At this time when life is barely bearable in the settlement because of a curse on the land Xena and Gabrielle arrive, sent by Bren's father, to take her home. They hear the stories of enforced sacrifices and other misdeeds perpetrated by the settlers that created havoc, guilt and fear. It is Gabrielle who sees the solution which brings about the healing needed by all , not the least of whom is Bren. The ritual that follows takes place primarily at the circle of stones and signals the return of the life-giving sun. The reader's imagination is engaged from the beginning by Morgan's picturesque language describing desolation and horror, a watcher, whom we feel in our bones is alien but in no way resembles ET. Have a read. Another hit from a fertile imagination that consistently awes us with the unusual. - AB Dec 13th, 2004 |

wow, a very deep and touching series. Please take the time and read it :) - Anonymous Dec 10th, 2004 |
Love this author's writing and this story is no exception, although it had my eyes crossing at the end trying to keep up with who was who! That part could have been a bit clearer or maybe it was just muddled to my feeble brain. One thing's certain and that is I will always read her stories because I know I'm clicking on something truly original, with just the right amount of humour and erotica. - Femmester Dec 9th, 2004 |
A wonderfully-written story where Xena and Gabrielle, answering a call for help, travelled to a city with weird custom and conservative elders. The second half of the story is especially touching. A must read! - aurelius Dec 9th, 2004 |
Passion is not for the 20 something anymore. Hot story Lady J - Windsong Dec 9th, 2004 |
The journey is brilliantly described - E Dec 8th, 2004 |
Hot! Now if I could just my girlfriend to do that ... lol - E Dec 8th, 2004 |
Xena displays her haggling skill. Absolutely hilarious... and somewhat sweet. - aurelius Dec 8th, 2004 |
Najera has always fascinated me it really cool to find out what happened to her after The Convert. Also I loved the clues that Xena was pregnant with Eve and the beatiful love between the warrior and the bard. - Jo Dec 8th, 2004 |
Oh, hehehehe.... nice one. Clever little bard. - Thalia Dec 7th, 2004 |
This story is amazing. It's like watching "When Fates Collide" from a different perspective and then some. Thrilling, sexy and poignant. Kudos XLB! - Alicia Dec 7th, 2004 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] I am a HUGH FAN of the Conqueror Stories. This series is one of the top five out there. I have read this one at least 7 times over the last few years and still I never tire of it. I would like to applaude (standing and clapping now) Planetsolin for finally finishing her series. It is a rare thing from some authors for sure. With that said, I must admit that Forever is my least favorite in the series. Maybe because I pictured it going one way with Xena getting to know Solan and waiting the birth of Gabby and Xena's child and it went in a completely different direction. I think if it was finished sometime around the time the originals were written it would have flowed much better with the series. Forever lost some steam IMHO and took on some of the original TV show. It just didn't have the same vibe as the original stories had. I did think the ending was endearing though. I still think that Planetsolin is still one of the best bards out there and I look forward to her future projects. - Jade Dec 7th, 2004 |
Just hot enough, love the ending - Darhma Dec 7th, 2004 |
Wow. - Jazz Dec 7th, 2004 |
beautifully written story. a must read!! - blazinangelwings Dec 6th, 2004 |
Very well written story. Great buildup of the characters, develving into their thoughts and incorporating them into the story. I am a strong believer that friendship must exist before love or it will not last and this just goes to show that love can grow strongly from friendship. Well done EC!!! - Shadylady Dec 6th, 2004 |
what a wonderfully told story; a must read for anyone who wants to laugh and cry all in the matter of minutes i loved it and im sure you will i loved the bull head it was awesome - tracy Dec 5th, 2004 |
good story... - jac Dec 5th, 2004 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] I thought Slow Rise was a great story. I enjoyed the characters. It was especially interesting to note that they were best friends from Kindergarten and still were not as in tune with each other's feelings as they should have been. - Pjay Dec 3rd, 2004 |
just finished reading considerable appeal, undeniable and all that is written of intuition. loved the way robin and jess joked and talked, very cute. cant wait for the rest of intuition!!! - blazinangelwings Dec 2nd, 2004 |
this story should in no way be accused of lacking depth! Both protagonists were beautifully drawn characters, with their own unique faults and charm. And a great thriller too. Fantastically drawn characters, great plot and edge of your seat suspense. Just read it everybody! - pats Dec 2nd, 2004 |
Wonderful! Thank you. :-) I wish Alex and Sydney a long and happy life together. - Sarah Dec 2nd, 2004 |
This is a wonderful tale of Xena and Gabrielle in a quiet moment of discovery. Very well written and heartwarming. Way to go, MS! - Teresa Dec 2nd, 2004 |
I have read every piece in the Ali Vali collection, this one all but tops the bunch. It is wonderful, captivating, and I stayed up all night reading it - I just couldn't stop. I can't wait for Book 2 - and I hope it won't be too long of a wait! - Laura Dec 2nd, 2004 |

An enlightening story, very well written with characters so believable, you can actually see the story taking place in your mind. Great job, Candideyes. - Sherry Nov 30th, 2004 |
An extremely well-writen story, which reads like a true adventure movie. The characterization of Janice and Mel is very interesting. Mel was especially endearing while Janice was infuriating, though you couldn't help but love her. Janice's background story was unpretentious and nicely written. I like this story the most among the author's Mel & Janice stories. - aurelius Nov 30th, 2004 |
I really enjoyed this sweet and tender story. - Trish Nov 30th, 2004 |
Lovely, very lovely story and sweet, too! A delightful and loving awakening of a love that was destined. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us. - Anonymous Nov 29th, 2004 |

The witty banter between Xena and Gabrielle is delightful to read! We should have more heart-warming stories like this. - aurelius Nov 27th, 2004 |
This story has long been one of my favourites by Archaeobard. It is funny, it is refreshing and it bloody well should be a classic by now! You can't help but feel bad for Xena, but not bad enough that you won't bust a gut laughing! I'd love to see Archaeobard turn her hand to writing classic X&G again...how about it, Bard, are you up for a challenge? - Taleweaver Nov 26th, 2004 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] This is a story that grabs you and takes you on a rollercoaster ride and does not let go. I have brought the book and have already read it twice, but i do have just one niggly little thing, why does the club scene at the end, end so suddenly, nope not liking that. It could have been a little bit more. I totally fell in love with keefer, i wanna take her home and cover in cotton wool and worship her, sheridan i just wanna keep chained to the bed and use as a sex slave. Plz Plz keep writing, and one final thing THANK YOU. - LuvTigger71 Nov 26th, 2004 |
Beautiful friendship which developes into the most romantic story, a must read for all who believe in love. G S Binkley writes with a passion and understanding as shown in her previous "The Woman I Love" series , she has found a worthy writing partner in M S Anderson they compliement each other perfectly , Thank you both. - Gina Nov 26th, 2004 |
Good story. Played out like an [older] episode. Well done. - jac Nov 25th, 2004 |
This story was such a delight to read and I couldn't put it down once I started. The authors did a wonderful job making me enjoy the characters and story and wanting more. It is rare to find such a well written story that draws you in to it and makes the characters come to life. I absolutely loved this story!! It was romantic, endearing, moving and realistic. The fact that Ashley and Jessie found friendship first, blooming into a love that filled not only their hearts but soul moved me more than any other story I have ever read. Although, I do absolutely love 'The Woman I Love' series by GS Binkley so it's kind of a toss up! ;) Thank you for this story and the promise of a sequel. - Stevie Nov 25th, 2004 |
Brilliant, totally brilliant, if you took te time to read the title then read the story, it just brilliant. - LuvTigger71 Nov 25th, 2004 |

Good story line....nice plot emerging here. A couple of interesting and unexpected surprises. It's certainly grabbed my attention. This story holds a lot of promise. Awaiting the next 20 or so chapters! - Anonymous Nov 19th, 2004 |
This was an awesome story!!! i loved the fact that there wasn't instant attraction followed by sex, how it developed from friendship was so much better!!! When does In Between Poses come out??? Thanks again for a great read! - Snuff Nov 18th, 2004 |
It's a **very** dark piece that follows Gabrielle's path after Xena's death. Many suprise twists happen in this fanfic! Old characters are brought back, new ones emerge, fantastic fighting and an amazing attention to detail...makes you feel like you're watching a movie at times it's so easy to see in your mind!! - fraoch Nov 18th, 2004 |
awsome story!!! very romantic, this story reminds me of the movie you got mail. hoping for a sequel!! - blazinangelwings Nov 18th, 2004 |
Romance is not dead! This wonderful story is romantic, funny, touching and should come with a "do not read at work" warning. I fell in love with the characters and felt myself cheering for their romance. I've added this tale to my "must read" list. - Lynda Nov 17th, 2004 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] Great story. I have to admit that I knew how it was going to end once I figured out who Storey was but the story was so compellingly written that I stayed up late to finish reading it. It was sad yet at times Kate's thoughts made me smile. In a way, the story reminded me a little of the TV program Dead Like Me which I like a lot. While in reality, I wouldn't recommend Kate's ultimate choice, I do recommend this bittersweet Halloween story. - Gabsfan Nov 17th, 2004 |
Wow! OMG! What a wonderfully romantic story!!! I fell in love with everything about it. I couldn't stop reading it. If there is only one story you read this year, click on 'When You're Near Me' and enjoy! - Trish Nov 15th, 2004 |
Beautifully written and with such feeling. I felt exactly what the author was saying and others will as well. - Trish Nov 15th, 2004 |
A nice, well written story with a quite a bit of suspense. The pacing is great...sorry to see this first time author wasn't even considering a sequel. Check this one out. - Anonymous Nov 15th, 2004 |
Riveting story, wery well told and based on obviously well researched biblical premises! Loved it. - Cybnana Nov 13th, 2004 |
A beautiful love story. I would love to read a sequel or a POV from Virginia or both. - ter Nov 12th, 2004 |
what a wonderful story...one of the best i've read! - hera Nov 10th, 2004 |
TWO WORDS... PARAGRAPHS PPL!!!! i really couldn't read it, i tried but i ended up cross-eyed. Could the author do something about this? - Snuff Nov 10th, 2004 |

Every Massachusetts state lawmaker on the ballot who supported gay rights won another term in the Legislature. Voters also elected more opponents of the ban, after voting out some lawmakers who supported it during the September primary.
"I think we are in a far, far better position than ever before," said Josh Friedes, spokesman for the Massachusetts Freedom to Marry Coalition. "The electorate showed that it was incredibly tolerant," he told the Boston Herald newspaper.

"Accidental Love" by B.L. Miller is a must read for everyone. This is a book that I've read at least once each year since it was written and I absolutely love it. This to my estimation is the best story written by a bard. - Andie Nov 7th, 2004 |

The heartfelt words expressed in M.S. Anderson's 'My Whole Life' rings true and will touch everyone that reads her missive. From the depths of her soul, she shares what all of us feel and have known in our own hopes and dreams. 'My Whole Life' is a MUST read! Excellent. GSB - GSB Nov 6th, 2004 |

This is one of the best stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading! - Anonymous Nov 6th, 2004 |
If I say you've probably never read a story like this one, it would likely be true. It is different, fresh, original, thoughtful, clever & provocative. Devize's dialogue is always a treat and plots interesting and diversified. As with her Misplaced People, she paints the backgrounds, scenery & characters in vivid color. I've already read this twice to make sure I didn't miss a thing. - O.Ger Nov 5th, 2004 |
Truly a well written story. I enjoyed it very much. - Peggy Nov 3rd, 2004 |
This is really one fantastic story. Took me two days to read it and I loved every moment of it. Can't say much more about it without giving anything a way, so I'll end this by saying that I will be reading and re-reading it in the future. It's going on my fanfic CD! - Sherry Nov 3rd, 2004 |
What an absolutely wonderful, wonderful heartfelt story, but it begs to ask what happens now, and why stop there, it could be so much more. - LuvTigger71 Nov 2nd, 2004 |
This was pretty scary, more then I thought it was sort of a thriller style. I loved it! Thanks for the great read. - jonie Nov 2nd, 2004 |
Saul Trabal is a very talented writer and he is one of my favorites. If you like pretentious fanfiction and have not read one of his stories yet, you have definitely missed something. - Thea, Nov 2nd, 2004 |

Although this story was different from Ms Tryst's others I really enjoyed it. The characters went through many trials and tribulations just like any normal couple would. It's nice to see a story out there that is true to life, not just happy happy, love love etc etc ad naseum. - Anonymous Oct 27th, 2004 |
Excellent story so far. Please, please finish it soon. - CW Oct 27th, 2004 [Editor's Note: This story is complete. Here's the link to part 7.] |
First of all, The Cost of Commitment, the sequel to The Price of Fame, is doing gangbusters in its first few weeks of release. My thanks and gratitude to all of you who have bought the new novel and are making it such a huge success. I have been told that Amazon.com will begin stocking the book in the next week or so...right now you can buy it from my website: www.lynnames.com, or directly from the distributor at: starcrossedproductions.com and at select fine retailers.
I have a book signing coming up! November 13, 2004 at the Borders in Albany, New York (Wolf Road) at 7:30 p.m. I hope I'll get to meet some of you there. If not, don't despair, I'm scheduling other signings in other parts of the country even as we speak. It is critical to show the "big guys" that our fiction sells, so let's send them a message! (Then let's make sure we continue to support the smaller, independent bookstores who have taken such good care of us over the years).
Next, I am proud to say that The Price of Fame is now in its second printing! For those of you who are collectors, the spine on the new edition is different: the writing is white. And for those of you who have simply beaten your copies to death, what better time than now to buy a new one? Heh. Also, don't forget that books make great gifts.
I promised that I would post some piece of The Cost of Commitment on the web, and so I shall. I hope you'll cut me some slack on the timing for special circumstances (relocating all the way across the country, having my wrist in a cast for two months, getting the printed version put to bed...you know...nothing major).
I need your help. I am torn between posting the first, say, 100 pages online, posting selected chapters (I struggle with this because I don't want to give too much of the story away), or posting excerpts. Any feedback from y'all would be greatly appreciated.
Which brings me to the next point: I have a new e-mail address. Henceforth please feel free to contact me at: authorlynnames@cox.net (not to worry, the AOL address will continue to work during this transition period).
Short note, eh, Ames? ::smiling sheepishly:: Hey, I'm a writer, what can I say!
Thanks, as always, for your continued support and feedback.

[Editor's Note: This story is current on The Athenaeum through Part 13. The author has a Beta Version of Part 14 up on her site.] Wonderful and amazing story! Grim and realistic tale with very believable and lovable characters. The intensity of the relationship between the main characters is well done and extremely heart-rending. I give this a 9 out of 10 rating. More parts to "When the Land is Dark" can be found from Day's homepage: http://ca.geocities.com/dayliobserver/frontpage1.html The story is still unfinished, and I seriously hope that the author would continue it, although it seemed to have not been updated for a long period of time. Such a great story shouldn't be left hanging, please update!! - aurelius Oct 27th, 2004 |
Hazard warning, if you read this story you will need to wear incontinence pants, because i nearly wet myself through all the laughing. It is a really brilliant story, everyone should read it. Plz keep your imagination free and keep writing. - LuvTigger71 Oct 26th, 2004 |
This Conqueror series is the exception to my rule of not reading conquerer stories. Deep and complete characterizations. A storyline that never quits providing suspense and suprises. Every new story is a gift, and an invitation to jump on the rollercoaster with the characters as they encouter the challenges of their relationship and their world. Thanks, LJ for checking your spelling and grammar and painting word pictures that stay with you for years afterward. (And thanks for truly steamy sensual scenes with that splash of hot sauce (kink).) - amy beltaine Oct 26th, 2004 |
LJ Maas is one of the great bards to come out of the xenaverse. All her stories have plot, suspense, intrigue, and a romantic relationship that is HOT and challenging, often with a splash of hotsauce(kink). All are spell checked and grammar checked, and use the just right words to convey her meaning. This one is a slight departure in that it focusses more on the internal lives of the characters and makes you wait and wonder about the relationship. Will they ever work it out? Will they get together? Definately a page turner! - amy beltaine Oct 26th, 2004 |
Into the Dark and Learning to Climb are fantastic. Fast paced, but deep. Excellent character development and serious treatment of a serious subject. Sexy and sweet, but with a plot that keeps you on your toes. The sequel (learning to climb) is not just a sequel but a darn fine story in its own right. Thank you Sharon! - Amy Beltaine Oct 26th, 2004 |
wonderful story...great twists, turns, detail!!! ready for another... - AC Oct 25th, 2004 |
I loved this story. It was one of my favorite episodes. I think Xena had a deeper understanding of herself after she went through the Chakram Episode and it gave Gabrielle a chance to be a hero. Thank you. - katie Oct 25th, 2004 |
i love this story n i mean both of them!! i cant wait for the third part of it!! - Cris Oct 24th, 2004 |

Anyone, well I should say most of us can relate to these two! Great stories, now put pen to paper and burn rubber Robin! |
Just finished reading Entwined Lives ... Wow that was a fabulous story!!! I never laughed, cried, or cooed more then the story I just read. What a great story. But, my happiness fell when I read the last sentence...This is the end of the series with these characters. I hope R. Nolan will reconsider and give us another look into the lives of Sam, Riley, Kim and Jess. - Jan Oct 18th, 2004 |
I was really down this weekend so I decided to go looking for a good story and I found one. I loved this story, it was warm and sweet yet it had good mix of action in it. I really found Randy's tale of tranformation touching. The love between Randy and Brittany is just beautiful. Thank you. - danni Oct 18th, 2004 |
I read this story probably since the first day it was posted and was SO blown away by it. And now, I'm lying awake at night, remembering the characters and just can't seem to let them go. In my opinion, IN A HEARTBEAT is an incredible story, very captivating and real enough that some of us can connect to. The emotions, the struggles..it all just shaped the story into one that touched my heart. This is a story that I've re-read several times as well as it's sequel Entwined Lives. - T.F. Makes me wonder about having a second career and the fun of juggling two diverse jobs. Great job on capturing the feelings and expressions of the characters. - Shadylady Oct 18th, 2004 |
Interesting story but stopped way too soon for me. I have so many questions as to where the tale would proceed from here. I would like to see more on this story - SEQUEL - hint. - Shadylady Oct 18th, 2004 |
Intriguing tale with a wonderful twist on romance. Highly recommended for the adventuresome readers. Great job DJ. - Shadylady Oct 18th, 2004 |
Excellent story and a refreshing change to see Xena and Gabrielle return to the pages of the net. Looking forward to more work from this author. - Shadylady Oct 18th, 2004 |
I've revisited this story time and time again. Beautiful and poetic. Wonderfully written, very true to the characters. - Anonymous Oct 16th, 2004 |
Perhaps a bit disturbing, but well worth reading. The ending comes as quite a relief. - Holly Oct 16th, 2004 |
Wonderful. The emotions were beautifully crafted and skillfully presented. Well worth reading. - Holly Oct 16th, 2004 |
An excellent story, filling in gaps that the shows left open. It's a pity that the author didn't finish it. It could have been concluded in another chapter. Perhaps another bard could be found to adopt the story and finish it. It's too good to be abandoned. - Holly Oct 16th, 2004 |
As I read this short moment in time I could visualize these two ladies walking side-by-side, the sun shining down, Argo following behind, and both women totally knowing (come what may)they will always have a companion they can count on. It's a presexual moment yet...obviously about to head into a deeper level of their relationship. It's well written and, of course, not long enough. Read it! Very good. - jlnickymaster Oct 16th, 2004 |
I read this a while back and just ran across it again. It is a FANTASTIC read. Dont just take my word...delve into its well written structure, caress its characters, shiver at the building excitement, tremble at the romance. Ohhhhh...just read it! It's worth it. Highest marks. Thanks for writing it! - jlnickymaster Oct 16th, 2004 |
This has such hysterical antics...if you want to laugh and cry read it! I have read it many times just to find more things to laugh about. Wonderful. Well written. Highest marks. - jlnickymaster Oct 16th, 2004 |
This is a cute little piece that will bring you a chuckle. Thanks for having the vision to write it. - femerlin Oct 16th, 2004 |
One reason I really liked this was it goes against what my Mom is always telling me, "You'll never open your door and the love of your life will be there knocking." I also love the cop aspect of the story and how the job affects Kate, and how Delta eases that. Really lovely story. - Talia Oct 15th, 2004 |
True,True, true. Stand up for your things and who cares what some Neanderthals think anyway. It is a mystery thou show they could even read and wright a nasty reply. Short but, take a peek anyway. - SammyLee Oct 14th, 2004 |
A true Winner in many ways. True, sweet and honest. - Sammylee Oct 14th, 2004 |
Note: This story was written before the Season 5 XWP episode featuring black powder was shown so there is no connection. When Xena hears tell of a mysterious explosion in the neighborhood she recklessly sets off leaving the Bard behind. The author then describes how tenuous their relationship can be in certain circumstances. Like when Xena is in a righteous mood for murder. Not until she expresses it in words can Gabrielle slip beneath her dark radar, so to speak, and proceed to work on it. How they solve the problem they face, between one another and with the old man, is the crux of the matter. Some may question the ethics of the one solution but then might ask themselves....what would I have done? Once again Mary Morgan shows along with her many other skills her command of pace as the story moves to its remarkable conclusion. Maybe you've guessed by now that this is one of my favorite writers. Cool story. You read them very well. - Bardgirl Oct 14th, 2004 |
Hi...Just wanna say I really appreciate all the great feedback everyone has given me on this site. I am busy working on the next installment and I will try to have it posted as soon as possible. Thanks for hanging in there with me during this whole process. It has truly been a pleasure to write this story.... - Sage(the author) Oct 14th, 2004 |
This is a great story! Enjoyed this one very much. I hope for a sequel soon. - L'Nara Oct 13th, 2004 |
In terms of setting the stage, Crossroads is basically a post-FIN story. So yes, Xena is 'dead'. Remember though, death is a relative term in the Xenaverse, That said, I'm not going to spoil this story. Read it. You'll see Gabrielle come into her own; how she fares; how the relationship of X and G transcends time and space, and even death. In some respects its not an easy read - there is violence, but it is not an over-the-top blood and gore spectacle. Frankly, I hated FIN and swore I was done with anything that related to a FIN ending, but once I started reading Crossroads, I couldn't quit. I had to find out what happened next. Saul Trabal obviously did alot of research and it really paid off in the depth and texture of this story. In short, I recommend it highly. - M. E. Hunt Oct 12th, 2004 |
This is likely moot a year later but.. Xena wasn't canceled. Lucy didn't want to continue with the role. - Harpy Oct 12th, 2004 |
I really enjoyed this story, it was fun and i love the two main characters being artists. It was such an interesting way to bring them together. I also enjoyed how the bard weaved the action into the plot line. Very well done. - Tani Oct 12th, 2004 |
Wonderful!!! Your character Leigh is a fascinating woman, I read and fall in love, how everyone. Please, Sage, I wait the next installment anxiously, more !!!!!!!!!!!!! - Heather Oct 12th, 2004 |
Oh wow! This story is absolutely great! I'm dying to know how it will continue and can't wait for the next chapter! And now they even have pictures for each chapter! Awesome!!! - Jopari Oct 12th, 2004 |
Gladly accept this story in to my heart, to keep it with me in mind in good times and bad times, for it is truly special. I still sit here with the tears gleaming in my eyes and I can't tell if they are from joy or sadness, love or pleasure. What I do know is that I adore this story and the series it is part of. I can say that this series, this story truly will move you. So if you are truly looking for something special to give you a good time with many turns but have a true heart this is the story you want. Alex has many superb stories to pick; Alex has not let me down yet I have always had a good time reading here works. - Sammylee Oct 12th, 2004 |

This is a terrific story so far. I truly hope that it will be completed soon. - Bug Oct 9th, 2004 |
I just watched when Fates Colide and I thought that Xena wanted to say something else in that cell. I thought that the addtions that Ri made were very clever, and i love that it was the first person from the empress. - Kaye Oct 7th, 2004 |
Excellent start to the story. Please give us more soon. - Claire Oct 6th, 2004 |

I found this story enthralling. From the opening paragraph to the closing one, I was completely gripped. There is no doubt that Ronica Black ranks up there with the very best of the bards. - Diane Oct 4th, 2004 |
I have never read a story by Larisa and not been glued to the PC til I'm done. They are all so intense no matter what the topic. I had a lot of fun with the adventures of these characters. As with all of Larisa's stories I absolutely loved it. - Ginny Oct 4th, 2004 |
This is such an interesting view of the their early relationship. It also shows both Gabrielle's grit and Xena's compassion. Really well done. - Talia Oct 4th, 2004 |
Cool story.... you need to finish this sucker! - jac Oct 3rd, 2004 |

I am happy to announce that I will be attending the Dare2Dream conference in Charleston, SC November 5th through the 7th. The event will take place at the Quality Inn Hotel and I will be signing copies of two new releases, Finding My Way which was my very first uber and PWP Volume III Home For The Holidays. In Finding My Way Stephanie tells her story she is following her well planned future only to have her world turned upside down when she meets Allison Kendell. Home For The Holidays was taken from the Wednesday Afternoon Series, and asks the question would you endure a trip home with your ex-lover and what would you do when you realized that you are still attracted to your first love? Follow Tressa and Lindsey from one holiday to the next each leading to a very steamy conclusion. Also for the first time fans of this series can read how the story ends in the final chapter which has never been previewed or released. I am very excited about the release of both of these stories and remember anyone who brings me coffee gets special treatment. For more information about this event visit the D2D website at www.limitlessd2d.net
