Suggest a Story

You may suggest stories in this topic for inclusion to the Athenaeum providing that you agree to the following terms. Our rules for what we will, and will not accept, as posted on our Submitting a Story page, will be used for all submissions. Do not expect stories to be added instantly; if they are approved, they will be added to the end of the submissions list. At the moment that list has 27 stories. The Athenaeum also maintains the right to decline to list any story submitted via our forum without explanation. Call that last part a catch all rule for any reasons that are best kept between the author and The Athenaeum.

Story suggestions should include the author, title, and a link.

:D Hey, Great! Thank you! :not worthy:

Since it was kinda my idea I'll start with a suggestion.

How about "Darby" by Anj (A.k.a. Azurenon)?

Author's introduction: "This story is about a young woman who runs away from a very abusive home life, dressed as a boy. Along her journey she meets up with a "call girl" or "lady of the evening". This story follows them through their early trials and tribulations of dealing with their lives together. It is therefore part romance, part drama, with a half-hearted attempt at suspense and/or mystery."

Add another story..please?

I hope you would consider adding Anik LaChev or Nordica's monumental 'Campus' (J/7 Uber) and the subsequent Maca/Esther (Hospital Central) stories called 'Small Steps - the Last Tango'' and 'Jungle Fever'

Jungle Fever is hosted at ralst.com [url]http://www.ralst.com/JungleFever1-10.HTM[/url
]" A story belonging to the Spanish fandom 'Hospital Central' (think ER, but with a very attractive female pediatrican ending up married to the chief nurse. And nobody dies!), but you don't need to ever have heard of it to read this - it works just as well as an original story.Macarena Wilson works for 'Medics without Borders' out in the Congolese province of Kasaï-Oriental. But with the arrival of a new nurse from Madrid, things begin to change around the clinic..." (from Anik's website)

Campus is at http://home.arcor.de/hanninanni/800x600/noframe/fiction_anik.htm

Small Steps is hosted at the http://maca-esther.mforos.com but in a serialised form.

But please the other two stories, Campus and Jungle Fever are superlative - please consider adding them here!

I'd like to suggest Canna's Law & Order:SVU alturnative (A/O) story Light in the Shadows.

I'd also love to suggest the A/O writings of Connecticut McPhee, particularly the dark but compelling Obscured by Darkness, the raunchy Dusty Boots & Girly Cahoots and its prequel Lust in the Dust, but I'm not sure whether the livejournal publishing format makes them unsuitable. This would be a shame because they're great stories.
