Bwahahaha I'm reading Images right now lol
I think you should go for it andy. It might catch on :) I'll try it...dunno if I'd do good at it though lol

Hmmmm....we need more subjects. We could talk about....fanfict lol that's obvious. One of my favorite series is the I found my heart in san francisco. Those are awesome and I'm one of many waiting for the next installments :D

What else....Oh I love anything written by Larisa. :D And windstar. and LJ Mass. There's a lot more but I cant remember some right now. What are some stories everyone else loves?

Favorite authors: There are so many, but I will read anything by LJ Maas, Meghan O'Brien, Susan X Meagher, BadSquirrel, Fingersmith....

Goodness I could keep goin! I'll leave it at that, to keep the list on the short side.

As for type of stories, I am a sucker for a good romance, good erotica, or a good comedy. Also, I love those well written Conqueror or Classic Xena/Gab stories. An author that can put good detail into a story, without boring you with details, is someone I'll read anyday.

And did I mention Ubers?... :big grin:

I think it would be easier for me to make a list of things I don't like to read!... :D

I'm with you both...I adore Susan X. Meagher. Speaking of which, when is she going to give us another installment of IFMHS? I mean! I use Ryan as my model to keep pedaling on my bicycle when I get tired. I say her name over and over in my head like a chant. Next thing you know I'll have a shrine on my handle bars. Hey, it would fit in with South Florida. We are all nuts down here! LOL My all time favorite though is All That Matters. I want to know where I can find a Mackenzie of my own???

LJ Maas - it is so sad she was taken from us. I really love her conqueror series. Sometimes I'll just sit and think about what more she would have done with this one. She had such talent.

Larrisa - Isn't she the writer that gives us those wacky fun-loving goofball characters? If so, she rocks!

Badsquirrel - Oh yeah! What else is there to say?

How about the joint efforts of T. Novan and Advocate? Madame President and First Lady. You can't beat the dynamic duo!

I recently came across the story "Renegade" by Cheyne. Now I've got to tell you the beginning wasn't to my taste, but after the main character does some time travel to the old west - things start moving. I really enjoyed this story. If westerns don't give you nausea or saddle sores give it a try. Speaking of which, check out BSoriee (sp?) and her story "Fetchin Cousin Minnie." REALLY GOOD. She started a sequel, but I think she must have a new romance in her personal life 'cause she hasn't finished it yet. Dang is that irritating. My friends do that as well. The minute they start lovin' it up you don't hear from them until the fallout. Once that happens you can't get them away from you. Ten calls a day, hanging out at the house every weekend. Telling the same break-up stories 30 times a week. I don't mind being a support friend, but really - I need a life too! LOL Do they have a support group for lesbian break-up victims? LOL I can't tell you how many times I've had to help with loading and unloading the U-haul.

Okay, okay no more sour grapes. I will always be there for my friends!

Ciao for now.

I have nooo Idea when the next stores come out. But I know I'll always be waiting :D It's worth it. I need my own Ryan. or jamie. or both :cool2: .....kidding lol
Madame President and First lady were awesome. One of my favorites. I wish there were sequels. I dont think I could ever get sick of them. And yeah...thats Larisa :D Gotta love 'em all.

I sure wish LJ was still with us....her stories are incredible.

Anyone read HW's Dannum Alliance? That was a good one. I was surprised.

Anything by Kim Pritekel Is amazing :big grin:

I've pretty much read anything by Windstar and Zee. Love them all :D

Oh and psi draconis. I'm still waiting on her new installments.

Anyone read Hunter ash's classic x/g series? They are really good :) I want to re read them soon.

You guys should read my own story I got posted. It's not super amazing, but it's the first story I've actually started and finished.

I've never experienced a lesbian break up...and I hope not to break up with my own gf anytime soon.lol. U-hauls and lesbians are so true.lol. But it's the same with all my other friends. I dont see much of them till they break up with their boyfriends and then of course they wanna talk and go out all the time. not that I mind of course....but still. You shouldnt ignore your friends once you find someone. I try not to ignore my friends. its kinda hard lol but I work on it good.

What?? U wrote a story?? How did I miss that? I'll get right on it! :surprise2:

So you'd take Ryan OR Jamie? They are such different characters. If I had to pick one it would be Jamie. I think she fits my personality better. But Dr. Mac...oh baby! Come to mama! :love struck: I would love to play doctor with her. Okay, I digress...

I have read just about all the writers you mentioned I think. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed all of them, but some of the names I read early on in my quest to devour all the fanfic I could get my hands on. I'll need to go back and reread some stories.

OOOO - just remembered Alex Tryst - love her work.

Oh BTW Robin (Darkenedkarma) I just got a copy of "Backwards to Oregon." Ha - not as obsure as you imagine! AND A BIG THANK YOU TO THE MEMBER THAT HOOKED ME UP! You know who you are! (thought it wise to protect my source in case Jae is lurking around) LOL Where is Robin?? Didn't she want to stay in touch? I miss her humor.

Yuri, keep hold of your gf it's a jungle out there.

Stay tuned for more of my odd meanderings.

Ummm, yes you can, and you cook the bacon first! Why would anyone do it? Just to see if it was true??? (it was!) :ROTFL:

Okay I feel like a bobo-head as I have NO idea how to use the quote feature on this forum. Nancy's last post looked like all that and a bag of chips! LOL

I just had to see the eggs and bacon quote again and now I'm hungry - darn it! It's like the wee hours of the morning here and I can't afford to eat this late. That will teach me to have a small bowl of Kashi cereal for dinner! Wait... did I say chips earlier???

I'm still thinking about the new post - maybe this weekend I'll get brave enough to do it.

Chow for now. (hope y'all got the food reference)

Favorite authors? Is there a limit as to how many pages this can be???

Everyone listed is great, but i have to add a few of my favorites too!

A.K. Naten-Anything written by her is worth reading several times

Alex the Cat- FANTASTIC!!

Badsquirrel- the only thing bad about her is the wait time between stories! What is she doing? I mean is there anything more important than keeping us happy? I should think not!! :shame on you:

Kodi Wolf- While a lot of her stories are unfinished, she rocks! The woman certainly knows how to push a pen around on a piece of paper!!

Mavis Applewater-The Mistress of PWP....Wheeew hot mama! And several great novels! :not worthy:

Ali Vali-If she could only write as fast as I read, all would be right in my little world

Radclyffe-Can't forget her!

Larisa-Ah, yes-Larisa. What can you say about her? She has it all! I was so excited when she started writing again, I did the snoopy happy dance...at my age...not a pretty site!! :nailbiting:

I finished reading SX Meagher's IFMHISF - "Quandary". I am suprised that it's not out in the Athenaeum or the Academy yet.
I also finished Linda Crist's next Kennedy and Carson installment titled "Inside This House" and am following her current work featuring Isalba and Megan in "La Reina Corsaria", and these aren't out yet either. I also wish that Linda will continue with her "Between the Lines" series... She stopped at the episode S3E3 "The Dirty Half Dozen"...

Maybe the authors will soon post them.

You know, when I was stationed in New Mexico (White Sands Missile Range) all I ever heard from my Grandmother was about how nice it must have been because the humidity was so low that it wasn't as hot and miserable. "It's a dry heat so it's so much better." WRONG. 110 degrees with the sun beating down on you just sucks! It literally sucks the moisture right out of you. I was a raisin for almost three years. It took months for my skin to hydrate enough to get rid of the raisin look. Not that scales aren't attractive and I did blend in with the local wildlife for a while. I have to say in a side by side comparison they both suck. I sweat just as much in either state.

I used to read the I Lost My Heart in SF series. Couldn't wait for the next book to come out. I'd actually take the day off from work so I could read it. Now all I think is "Good Lord another one!" and save it to my hard drive for later. Later hasn't come in a while. But, I've been reading more sci-fi and fantasy lately. Heck, I've been jonesing so bad I'm reading main stream fantasy. I resent paying for it after having books and shorts at my fingertips for free. Thanks for that everybody! :big hug: I do mean everybody; without the readers some of the writers would loose motivation.

It's not AT&T but consider yourself touched subextfan...I didn't mean that in the dirty way it sounded. Okay, I'm going to make my finders shut up now.

Robin - with the run away fingers.

Hello all,

I've been reading ALL weekend and I'm sooo tired, but sated. I just finished vnud's Immortal story...very sweet. It took me back to my high school days and the various crushes I had going on for 4-years. I'm actually glad I didn't hook up with any of them after a recent reunion. Wow! Most of those women looked rode hard and put away wet! Ewwww. BTW Yuri, I say go to your prom - you only live once! Happy belated B-Day! How was your celebration?

Right before I read Yuri's story I had finished reading Engravings of Wraith by Kiera Dellacroix. Holy writing batman! That was one fabulously good story. It was one of those stories I hated to see end.

I remember the first SXM story I read "All That Matters." I was so wowed by her talent I dived right in and read a few other stories until there was nothing else to read but IFMHISF. At first I thought - why didn't she have the decency to write a sequel to ATM?? Then I thought - okay - let me give this a try. Well I read the first "book" and I was happy, but not enough to read the others. Cut to two years later, I decided to go back and read them. Needless to say I was too hooked not to finish. So imagine my happiness to learn about the next installment on her Yahoo site. I'll get started on it soon enough.

Robin...you are hilarious! You and Larisa should team up! :big grin: Girl, you've got to let this obsession with heat go. It's just not good for you! LOL Thanks for the touch.

I think I've exhausted myself now.

Ciao for now.

Andy

I've been to White Sands lol It was pretty neat...got to slide down..some...sand...errr it's a lot more fun than it sounds lol
I think fantasy and sci-fi is my favorite genre. I don't need to read real life stuff because real life just plan sucks and is most of the time depressing. It's nice to escape. I especially love sci-fi-ish Uber, which is why I love WIndstar so much :D And I'm re-reading The Return right now...I love it :big grin:

I do hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I see we've reached over 1000 views :D That's really awesome. Maybe the Aliens visited this thread too.... ;)

Thanks Andy :) I thought it was sweet too lol which is probably why I wrote it. What did you really think about it? I know it's not super amazing but not too bad for my first try huh? I think I will go to my prom just not this year. I'll go next year for sure...if only for the food lmfao I heard what they were having for desert there and I almost started drooling in class. And thank you :) My bday was alright. My friends baked me a cake, and I went out to see the new xmen movie with my sister, her wife, and my brother and his gf. and then went to Applebees at like midnight lol it was great.
