Ok, so I just got home and i'm like...twitching, my heart rate is up, and I feel like throwing up.
I was driving out of the school parking lot (in bumper to bumper trafic), get cut off by a motorcycle, and then! I make it to the stop sign at the end of the block. Guess what? This fucking old lady (sorry about the language) runs the stop sign. It's a four way stop. I already pulled off, she runs it, I'm in the middle of the freakin street. I swirve (sp?) to the right to miss her, and luckily she slammed on her brakes fast enough, and we are literally inches from each other. I couldn't do anything but drive off, but she stayed in the middle shaking, not that I blame her. But damn, it was scary :sad2: I need to calm down.

Geez, Yuri, no wonder you are sort of shaken up.... I'm glad you reacted quick enough and were able to avoid crashing against that so very careless old lady though. Some people should never be allowed to sit behind a wheel. You certainly need to calm down and get that heartbeat rate down so now go sit down, get yourself a nice hot drink, try not to think about what could have happened, congratulate yourself on your quick reflexes and relax. Everything turned out fine after all and I for one am really happy about it :big hug:

Thanks Rosa :big hug:
I feel much better now, sadly Florida is full of old people lol It's dangerous to drive here. My friend Eric told me that I need to drive, thinking everyone is out to hit me. that's the real definition of defensive driving lol

Oh and April! Awesome story :D I can't wait for more adventures.

Lol, I go to sleep last night on top of everything on the forum and when I wake up, boom, there's comments everywhere. Darn the time difference. Been kinda busy today (Tuesday is my busiest day) I won't have time to play with our favorite FAKE girls. By the way, they are our girls so if you want to write and play with them, you can do so. Only rules are don't kill them off or make them straight.

But!!! If you like me and kinda like my writing (this is a shameless advertisement for myself) my new story has been posted on What's New. Though it says Unfinished, I promise you that it is. It's just the first adventure.

Well, of course I think of those FAKE girls as our girls :D I just wouldn't dare to join your collective endeavours and play with them, I don't think I have what it takes to do so, but I am a loyal fan, an avid reader, sometimes demanding but always easily amused and great at cheering for all of you gifted writers :)
And talking about gifted writers.... Fellow forumers let's get a drum roll and a loud round of applause for April/silverwriter01 :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:
I have just finished reading "The Extraordinary Adventures of Brice Johnson, Bus Driver: The First Adventure " and have one thing to say to those of you who haven't done so yet: stop lurking here and take some time to enjoy a wonderfully original piece of writing :D
April, what I like best about your story is the fact that it is the "First Adventure", which means there will be more (a lot more, I hope) coming on. I have found it refreshing, different, not easy to categorize or ascribe to a particular genre, carefully crafted and edited, and showing some really fine sense of humor bordering irony at times. Me likes a lot. Congratulations, April :big grin:

Your friend Eric is so very right :D
I've just read one of your stories (not sure if I should say the name here since you didn't mention it) and I'm sorry I didn't know you had any, if I had I would have got down to it long before now. I'm impressed, Yuri: it's so beautiful and so moving and so very well written.... Just wish it were a lot longer :D So, once again dear fellow forumers, let's hear it for Yuri and hope she writes a lot more stories to share with us :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: Congratulations, Yuri

Hopefully, I'll be able to squeeze a story out sometime again. May I ask which one you read? You talk freely about my story, since...well...it's mine. lol I don't really introduce myself by saying, "Hi I'm yuri, Welcome :D. Now, just so you know you are required to read my story before I speak to you :big grin: "

lol I don't think that would make a great first impression.

You know, Yuri, you're an awfully nice person, really, and you certainly make a wonderful first impression :D . I'm so glad I somehow found my way here  The story I was talking about is "The Inmortal" and believe me, even though it's great to know that I made your ego happy, I don't give praise if I don't truly think it's deserved (it comes with the job, I guess) and I happen to think that your story is very, very good on so many levels (same goes for April's). I have a tendency to emphasize on the good points I can see on the things I read, especially if I read them wearing my teacher's hat so to speak, and try to encourage the writer by doing so, but I'm not shy when it comes to saying that some piece of writing needs lots of improvement. If and when you manage to write something that in my humble opinion is not that good I will let you know (comes with the job, I told you). But something's telling me there's not a chance of that happening :big grin:

Ahh...The Immortal..I do love that story. It was the first story I actually finished, and I was proud of myself. Still am actually. I just read it again, and I'm amazed I wrote so good (although I saw some typos...oops lol). I've been told I should write like a prequal of when they are in HS, but the only problem is that they didn't talk back then! lol However, I'm happy you enjoyed my little tale. If I can put a smile on someone's face, then my job is worth it.

Yay April! Read your story and it's good. I like your ending. :applause:

Hmm, well, what to say first. Yuri, I'm so glad you made it through alive. I've driven in Florida and I drove exactly how Eric told you to drive. Idiots, old people, and texting teenagers are everywhere waiting to hit you. Once again, I'm glad you and your car are safe.

Wow, I knew my story was short but I didn't expect y'all to finish so quick. :blushing: Thanks for all the feedback. Gosh Rosa you literally made me blush.
Yes, there are more adventures planned out for Brice. I'm a few pages away from being done with the second adventure before it gets sent off to my editor/beta. Then I'll start work on the third. I'm so glad y'all like it.

Lol, I know right Yuri? But I think Rosa's just great period.

Blushing again cause I can. By the way, what does your teacher's hat look like? I'm looking into different models and I'm torn between a baseball cap and witch's hat.

Amber, I feel for you. If it weren't for password memory on Firefox, I'd be locked out of so many sites. And I always forget which dog name I put under my first pet security question.

It's no longer Tuesday (tis 1:16am) so I'm not as busy as I was before.

Now I'm going to confess something I've never confessed before. It makes me look like an idiot but that's okay. Every morning I take a shower and brush my teeth while I'm in the shower. I put my toothbrush on the rack so I can finish washing up. I mean to get it and put it back in the cupboard but I always forget. Please note that I'm not making up all these always, it's seriously what I do. Okay, now for the embarrassing part. Every night when I go to brush my teeth, I opened the cupboard and grab my toothpaste. I look inside, frowning I'm sure, and think, "Where in the hell is my toothbrush?" The answer always is, in the shower where I leave it every morning. I know, I fail lol.

I have to stay awake for at least two more hours. Why you ask? Because Friday afternoon around 4:30 pm I'll probably be making the 11 hour drive to Washington DC to march in the National Equality March Sunday. Its going to be a night drive so I want to be sure I can make it. You know this means I'll be away from my laptop and all of yall. Makes me sad :crying2: . I'll have my ipod touch with me. I'll try to drop a line if I can find free WiFi that works with it. I'll be back Monday/Tuesday.

Lol, I was about to say you'll be able to reach me on my phone but you stalkers don't have my phone number. I wonder how long it will be before I end up giving it to one of yall. In my years of online experience I've given out my number three times. One I ended up dating and breaking up with, one I just don't text anymore, and the third has been my best friend for two years now....I'm rambling. You can AIM me at silverwriter01 and it will go to my phone that way if you really need me lol.

Hmm, okay, that's enough for now. Night all.

Hmm, now where did I leave those FAKE girls? I left there right there but you know how they are.
__________________________________________________________

Yolanda groaned as she woke up. She squinted into the blazing sun above her and rolled over to get out of its glare. She let out a scream as she rolled over onto nothing and fell three feet to the ground below her. Lying on her back in pain, Yolanda groaned, "Where the hell am I?"

Looking up she could see her wife peek over what could only be a tailgate to look down at her. "What are you doing down there sweetie?" Yolanda struggled to her feet, she ached all over. That's when she realized she was hung over. Yolanda leaned wearily on the truck beside her. Her wife and Sherry were in the back of the back of the truck they had obviously all been sleeping. Sherry asked, holding her head, "Where the hell are you?"

"If I knew, I'd tell you," Yolanda said. She looked around. They were in the middle of a field from what it looked like. There were a few U-Haul trucks parked beside them and there were empty tequila bottles laying beside the remnants of a bonfire. "I...I..." Yolanda started to speak but broke off. Her wife and Sherry watched as Yolanda went pale and rushed away. The sounds of retching could be heard.

In the next hour, women started waking up and crawling out of their respective sleeping areas. Kim Dependable, who was always prepared in case of an emergency, handed out water bottles from the back of her U-Haul.

"What's the last thing anyone can remember?"

Courtney said, searching her brain, "I remember we decided to get drunk and scare the locals. That strange girl Suzie found said she would show us where to go. I recall going to the titty bar but after that, nothing."

Kim said, looking into the back of her truck to get more water, "That might explain why there are five topless women wearing thongs and gold stars over their nipples passed out in the back of my U-Haul."

Normally that would start a stamped but everyone was so hungover they couldn't muster up the energy. Yolanda asked, feeling much better now that she had thrown up, "Where is Suzie and that strange chick? And whose truck was I sleeping in?"

Sherry had been looking around, searching every U-Haul. She grew upset when she couldn't find what she was looking for. "Has anyone seen Rachel?"

"Has anyone seen my camera?" A camerawoman asked.

"Guys, are we even still in Missouri?"

*****Just where are the FAKE News Girl? Where are Rachel Looker, Suzie Longears, and the strange hotel cleaning woman? Just where is the missing video camera and what is on it?

Some people say that a picture is worth a thousand words. I love words too much to agree wholeheartedly with that, but I do know something: this particular picture has travelled all the way across the Atlantic straight to my heart, and I know there are no words, at least none I can think of, that can possibly explain how I’m feeling right now. I have printed your picture note, April, in high quality glossy paper too, and it’s now sitting right beside my laptop as I write, and it’s already turned into some kind of beacon, a safety net, a reminder. The fact that someone -I don’t know how many thousand miles away, I don’t know how many timelines apart- has taken the time to do something so meaningful, so thoughtful, so generous, so simple and yet so extraordinary, well, I guess there are some truly awesome people out there, and I guess I’ve been blessed to find some of them, haven’t I? Gracias, thank you, danke, merci. :big hug: You’ve made me think about a story I wrote long ago about a wandering sun beam...

silverwriter01 wrote:By the way, what does your teacher's hat look like? I'm looking into different models and I'm torn between a baseball cap and witch's hat.

Let’s see.... My teacher’s hat is a slightly weird combination of different styles that tries to bring together the many different sides to this job of mine. It looks more or less like this: imagine a classic pointed witch’s hat, only this one is made of a really hard, resilient material, like a football helmet, now think of bright colors like those you find in a clown’s hat, attach an assorted number of pins including a police badge, a red cross and lots of gold stars and “well done!” stickers ready to use; finish by sprinkling it all liberally with chalk powder. This way you have a witch, a quarterback, a clown, a police officer, a nurse and a motivating professional wrapped up in a single individual (probably looking a bit ridiculous and sneezing like crazy because of the chalk, yeah, but it’s all part of the job). :D

It’s a long drive, yes, but for a worthy cause. Here in Spain we are lucky to enjoy equal rights: same sex marriage is legally recognized (exactly the same legal status as that of opposite sex marriage), adoption is legal as well (no restrictions). Let’s hope events like the National Equality March help change the way things are in the US and in many other places in the world. I’ll be cheering on Sunday from this side of the Atlantic :applause:

As for the new update on FAKE News....Ah the plot thickens... Gosh, how I love these girls :D

...well...someone had a bit of time on their hands today! lol
Monday/tuesday? that's soooooooooooooooooo long april, not cool man. Just kidding ;) Have fun at the march though, I wish I could go. Maybe someday.
Hmmm...I've given out my phone number online to..well several people lol Ok, let me back up there. One, being my current girlfriend. The others are still great friends all across the country. It took me like six or seven months of knowing these people and talking to them constantly to give it out. I've only had one bad experience, and that was with a women that really, really, liked me and then I go off and get a girlfriend (and they somewhat knew eachother online). It got ugly there for a couple weeks, and she hasn't spoken to me a little over a year. But I can't really call it bad because I don't blame her.

No stalkers yet so...WOOHOO!

I bet Rosa will appreciate that April, very sweet :D I've never given a gold star, but you get it for your kind gesture today! :star:
Oh and thank you for your concern :D I'm very happy I didn't have to go to the hospital and all that stuff.

Hmmm....second toothbrush...Nice thinking Rosa! I didn't even think of that....did you April?

The women stood around staring at eachother in a deafening silence. In the background you can see some crew members running off to retch into the field. The sounds startled the women into action.

"We need to find Rachel first. She's our guide and without her we're stuck in, where ever the hell we are." Sherry stated as she plopped down on the tailgate of the near truck. She rubbed her forehead and groaned.

Yolanda walked back to her truck and picked up some Asprin. Taking a couple pills she tossed the bottle to Sherry. Who then tossed it to the others like the Holy Grail.

Kim walked back to her truck and spoke to one of the strippers, when she was called. After a few minutes she returned smiling triumphly.

"Look what I found ladies!", she swung the small camera in air. "Maybe this will give us some answers."

Yolanda looked at her and raised her eyebrow, "Where'd you get that? I'm not sure I even want to see whats on that thing." She ended looking toward the truck with the strippers starting to get up. Her jaw dropped when one of the strippers jumped off the tailgate, naked save for a red thong, and wrapped her arms around Kim.

Kim blushed and leaned back, "Umm...this is Alotta Fagina...err...I mean..Erin"

Alotta Fagi-Erin smiled and kissed her cheek, "Hello all"

Yolanda's wife backhanded her 'aside the head when she caught her drooling, "Wipe your mouth, you pig..." and she stomped off toward the one tree in the area.

Rubbing the back of her head, Yolanda ran off to her wife to grovel.

Sherry rolled her eyes and questioned Ms. Fagina, "Where did you find the camera?"

"I'm not quite sure...but I think I found it out by Rachel's truck. I thought that maybe...err..it could be fun to use later so I took it. But then I passed out before Kim and I could use it," Erin replied, while Kim blushed deep to her blonde roots.

Laughing, Sherry took the camera and sat down on the truck bed to watch the recorded film. Rewinding the tape a bit, she pressed play. She was greeted with Rachel's chest.

Rachel backed away from the view and stepped out of the cabin of the truck, she had put the camera on the seat facing the door. Stepping back a few paces she tripped and started laughing histerically, spilling her beer all over herself. Still laughing she stood up and drunkingly tried to brush herself off which resulted in her falling on her ass again. Sherry snorted and grinned.

After getting up, Rachel stood up tall and cleared her throat:

"But soft! What light through l..won...yonder window breaks!
It is the East, and Sherry is the sun!
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon," Rachel made stabbing motions with her empty bottle of beer and grabbed her heart dramatically.

"Be still my baking...raking....racing heart! Where out...thou my heart leads....wait thats not it. Fuck it, Sherry I loooooooooooooooooveeeeeeee you!!!!!" Rachel fell to her knees and yelled.

From the left of the small screen the strange women they picked up walked up behind Rachel and put her hand on her shoulder.

"Rachel?"

Rachel turned and toppled over, "Hey Frodo! Don't sneak up on me like that" She grumbled.

The girl smirked enigmatically and replied, "They want to speak to you, come."

Rachel frowned and stood up on jelly legs and confronted, "Hey, hold on a second. I may be drunk, but who's they? I don't even know you!"

The girl sighed, "Damnit, why are you being difficult? Look, this won't hurt one bit"

"What wont hur-"

The screen went black.

Sherry blinked, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fell backward.

Stand by for an update.

The gals of LATX have been on the road for the last few days in their RV clean machine. Packing up all of their gear from the Naked Stadium sand volleyball tournement took more time than expected with Randi & Candi Dam in charge of cleaning the sand out of all the nooks, crannies and crevious' of the staff. It was fun, and everyone loved the personal touch and attention to detail. The surprise inspections were not to be missed. Mona Lot learned a new call sign during the process, OFCK, but has committed to LATX for this cross cuntry venture.

Somewhere on Missouri Interstate:
Bea Verlick: If I have to santize another truck stop shower so you gals can play find the rubber duckie one more time I am gonna lose it!

Mona: Come on Bea, you know how those water twins get. Next time you can hid the duck. Put the hammer down and let's roll.

Bea: We need to try to find those FAKE NEWS gals.

Mona: Why good buddy? I mean Bea.

Bea: I'm getting a funny feeling

Mona: Candi, Randi, calling all LATX Gals. Bea is gonna blow!

Bea : Now Mona, it only happened like that the one time. I'm not sure...

Mona: Yeah and it was a cluster fuck. We can't risk having everyone down & out. WE NEED BACK UP. Those FAKE News girls are insatiable. They may be our saving grace or at least give us time to rest and buy more supplies.

Candi: Who's got the GPS?
Mona: G-spot locater?
Candi: Close enough.
Randi: When Bea gets revved up no one plays safe. She goes wild and our insurance rates can't go up much higher or we'll all need to get real jobs.

Mona: Chill. I found some ice, we have a little time... Someone set Bea down on the ice NOW!

Candi: Where are those FAKE NEWS gals?

:ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: I love the LATX Girls. I'm glad they're coming after the FAKE girls. They look like they'll need some help.

God, Kali, I gotta make a long drive this weekend and everything I look at the GPS I'm going to giggle.

Rosa, I love your teacher's hat. I'm thinking I'll do a custom design as well. Take a construction hat, add the attachment that makes up beer hats but instead of beer I'm going to have one side full of sarcasm and the other side full of humor. On the hat will be places to clip a new dry-erase board marker and a full red pen.

I'm glad you like my photo note, Rosa. :blushing: You should write more, you have a real way with words.

And as for getting a second toothbrush, I don't think that would work. Knowing me as only I can, I'll put the second one in the cupboard and in the morning, go through my normal routine of taking a brush and paste out of the cupboard, etc etc. At the end of the night I'll be like where's my toothbrush and both of them will be in the shower. Now this might work if I get another toothbrush and paste and put both of them in the shower. That way I can hop right in the shower and go from there.
Me - "Quiz time!"
Student - "I ain't going to lie to you. I didn't pay attention to anything you were doing up there."
Me - "I noticed. Feel for you. Here's your quiz."

It works for me Silver,

I brush in the shower too. I keep brush and paste in shower, cupboard, my Jeep, and in my Messenger bag..I am a bit errrmm compulsive about brushing the teeth always have been...

We are patiently waiting for y'all to get to Cali, Sunny, Skye and Blue are working on living quarters for everyone. I believe they are renovating a warehouse at Pier 69 at Fishermen's Wharf in San Fransisco. I think the Traveling Amazons from FAKE and LATX will love it after sleeping in those uhauls..
