Today, I found out that Emily Dickinson was in love with her brother's wife.
When my teacher said that, I laughed in my head because the class was dead silent.
But then I felt really sad because I know she didn't have a happy life.
But then, I started wondering if the wife had feelings for her too...which is unlikely but what can I say...I'm a mushball and hope she did.

Howdy

I'm still here and still queer. Life has just been super busy of late. Senior year in college, trying to figure out grad school, etc etc. I enjoyed life so much more when I didn't have one.

Charlie, I hope your surgery goes well. Sending you good thoughts and such.

Catseye, Yuri, I've missed yall. Well everyone else too but thanks for thinking of me. Get ready for college Yuri, you'll never be the same afterwards.

So I'll leave this ubershort post with a joke.
What did the egg say to the boiling water?
It will be a minute before I get hard because I just got laid by a chick.
Me - "Quiz time!"
Student - "I ain't going to lie to you. I didn't pay attention to anything you were doing up there."
Me - "I noticed. Feel for you. Here's your quiz."

:laughing2: Thanks buddy! That was great lol

Yeah, I'm pretty scared shitless about going to college. But honestly, I sick of being where I am with my psychotic sister/guardian. I'll be sooooooooooooooo much happier once I'm out of the house. So in that sense, I'm totally ready for it.

I'm so close to graduating and leaving school...its scary. Last day for seniors is may 21. and then graduation is on june 5. Right around the corner!

April, have you decided on a graduate school? That's got to be super stressful.

Thanks Catseye-- My little sister has a set of twins one boy and one girl but the will be 21 in June. Also my cousin has a set of twin girls. So that is 2 sets of twins in the same generation in the family. I remember when my niece and nephew were little they knew exactly where each other were but they also went in the opposite directions. It was oh so much fun babysitting

Hi Everyone,

I’m a new kid on the block. I’m not really a kid, but writing that made me feel younger. I’m a thirty-something lesbian. I live in the land of pick-up trucks, Nascar, rednecks and good old boys near Charlotte, NC. It’s not that bad. Really! There’s one “family” bar in the town I live in. Thank God!

I’ve been lurking/reading this forum for a few weeks. It’s good to see active discussions about fan fiction. I’ve been reading it for years. I have too many favorite authors to list. Uber stories are my favorite. I enjoy reading about original and somewhat flawed characters, especially those that aren’t the stereotypical strong/rich tall brunette.

Strangely, I didn’t watch XWP before I read fan fiction. After reading a few Xena stories I watched the entire series, but just like I was born too late to enjoy the 60’s I watched XWP too late to talk about it with friends. When they were shocked Adam Lambert didn’t win American Idol I was shocked about FIN. My consolation has been reading great stories based on the show.

Enough rambling. Time to get lost with a story. I look forward to getting involved with more discussions here.

Hey ladies! Long time no see ... er... type. As for the weather, the temp has been around 70 degrees for the last 2 weeks. The not so awesome part of it, is that it finally warmed up enough that all of the trees decided to release their pollen at once, rather than gradually like they usually do starting in late February. So, all I can say is that I'm really glad to have AC and allergy meds. It did rain off and on all day today, which I was happy about since it washed most of the pollen out of the air for now.

Congrats Charlie! That's fantastic news! *does the snoopy dance* :big grin: :big grin:

Welcome Mikala! I'm happy you've decided to stop lurking and introduce yourself. I've yet to watch the series, but I've enjoyed reading some of the Xena fanfic. They can certainly get... interesting at times. :winking2: LOL

later all

Nice to meet you Mikala! :)
I'm Yuri and I sure hope you stick around!

Amber! *gasp* You have not seen the series??!! Buddy, we need to get that fixed prompto! How have you been? Its been a long time!

today, I went out to try and find somethin to wear for prom. Its next saturday night...procrastination much huh? lol
Anyways, since there's no way in hell that I'd wear a dress lol I decided to wear a black vest with silver swirl designs on it, with a baby blue long sleeve button up and black slacks. I figure thats still dressy enough right? Not a tux, but not a dress.

OHHHH and I'm so excited :D its my birthday on thursday!! :big grin: yay I can legally buy a lotto ticket and kill myself with cancer sticks. yay me! :i_don't_know:

Heya Silver, great to see you around and good luck with those educational issues! Soothe yourself with the thought that all of this effort will get you the best job out there :D

Congrats on the Great Auntship, Charlie - kids are such a joy (when they're not your own). My sister has two who are both too smart for their own good, and will realize that they're cleverer than I am by far the moment they get over their aunt-worship-phase...

Welcome, Mikala - Nice to see another face in the forum. My case is similar to yours in that I never saw XWP before reading the fanfic; however, I still haven't seen any of it (bar two episodes). Scotti has been threatening to invade my house and force feed me the series...

(Gosh, I've set my media player to cycle through all of my music, rather than using playlists as usual... isn't it nice to come upon an old favourite suddenly? Beautiful by the Goo Goo Dolls. Lovely)

(Also, I'm suddenly fighting for control over my keyboard with my giant grumpy attitude-challenged cat. I don't know if he wants to check his gmail account or what.)

Pardon the interlude.

Heya Amber, nice to see you too! We're really seeing the effects of the climate change here in South Africa - it's the wettest autumn I've ever seen. I love it, though. Mist and rain makes for scarves and fireplaces and red wine.

Hey Yuri - enjoy your prom! Have a ridiculous amount of fun. It's required!

And now, another cup of coffee, which I hope will motivate me to get some writing done!
