Good writing. A fatal attraction story that held my attention thoughout. But, as it drew to an end, it left a queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Joanna doesn't have much to be proud of here. The murder/mystery plot line is compelling (makes you definitely want to continue reading) and it's well written, but the two protagonists are completely repulsive. What can I say?
I started reading this about 11p.m. and finished just after 5a.m. I have class in about 6 hours :-/ but this was very enjoyable.
The plot really left me guessing yet didn't seem as far fetched as one would think.
The sex was a definite 10 (anybody who voted less must not be looking for a plot too). I had a hard time with the casual sex attitude of one of the main characters, but I still managed to enjoy it and like her character (even if it's completely unrelatable to me; well, with the exception of having had a roommate that may have had a few things in common with her).
I didn't have a clue what length story I was reading; I only just discovered it was a novel. It's nice to know that I didn't take that long to read a novelette.
Well, thanks for writing! I know this site doesn't get as much action anymore but it's great to have options as a reader. I also read Ubers first, then AUs, then Canon when it comes to Xena so I appreciate that your characters didn't seem like carbon copies to me.
Loved the originality with the sex and also that real moments were involved and it wasn't all personality-less and/or emotionless.
