~ A New Beginning ~
by Ri

This story is a sequel to my story The Auction you do need to read that to understand this. I would like to thank Ryan for his suggestion, which ends this story and my friend Larisa for suffering through reading this tale draft after draft. I hope you enjoy it. (Small disclaimer there is loving relationships between two women within so if that's not your cup of tea your on the wrong list(G))

Nat and Blair came into Mrs. G's house. Blair had gone into the new catering business to help her older friend renovate the old store and give it a new look. She had a beautiful display case put in for Mrs. G's designer bake goods and a very fancy menu for the customers to order from that still needed to be placed. They were also debating over the new name. Blair had a determined look as she went into the kitchen area.

Nat had come in with her boss and sat down on the couch with a huge sigh. This was the end of her first week as Blair's assistant. She loved Blair and it was a wonderful opportunity. She was enjoying it, but her old friend went at an incredible clip. She got a bottle of water from her backpack and drank deeply from the bottle.

Tootie came in the house and smiled at her old friend and asked, "How are you doing, Nat?"

"I'm pooped."

"I can see that. Is she working you too hard?"

Nat shrugged, "No harder then she works herself. She's like a whirlwind?"

"More like a beautiful tidal wave," said an amused voice from behind them.

"Jo! Blair said you wouldn't be home 'til late so that's why she stopped here to help Mrs. G." Said Nat as she drank some more water and leaned back into the comfortable couch.

"Yeah I know the jerk she had in charge of Legal absolutely hates me. He was complaining to Blair for over an hour. He told her how unacceptable it was for her to have a legal shark like me in charge of her late father's company." She shook her head smirking as she leaned against the back of a chair. "Blair reminded the asshole that it was now her company and threw him out. Then my darling girl called me in and told me everything he said. When he came in to confront me I threw every word he used against me back at him and watched him grovel," she said chuckling as she remembered how he looked while basically begging to keep his job.

"Are you Ok?" asked a soft voice over Jo's shoulder. Jo turned and was embracing her love within her loving arms within seconds.

"I'm perfect," said Jo as she kissed Blair tenderly bringing the blonde as close to her as possible.

Tootie and Nat looked at each other and Nat got up.

"Come on let's help Mrs. G. with all the work for her new shop." They left the lovers alone with their passion.

*** *** *** ***

Jo had been living with Blair in her condo for a few days, but she wasn't quite settled Blair had given her a closet and dresser of her own. She also gave her a spare room to convert into her office. Jo walked into the soon to be office and stopped dead.

Hands on hips she yelled, "Blair!"

"Yes!" Blair called from downstairs.

"Come here right now!"

Blair walked up the stairs and quietly down the hall. She came face to face with glaring blue eyes; "You called me, My Darling?"

"Blair Warner, you promised me." She said quietly though she was obviously seething.

"What?" She asked innocently.

"Blair, I grew up with you. You can't pull one thing on me that I don't know. So don't try this innocent act, it won't work."

Blair moved closer bringing her arms around the angry woman and pulling her close. She purred into her ear, "Not at all, huh?"

Inside Jo was definitely melting she felt that she was about to burn to a cinder in reaction to what Blair was doing. Each caress was unraveling her resolve, but she wasn't about to give in this easily. On the outside she appeared to remain strong. Only her expressive eyes reflected her weakening. Blair was able to read those beautiful blue eyes as easily as she could a sign at Tiffany's.

Blair smiled and brought Jo even closer and purred in her ear, "You know my love your poker face is firmly in place. No one looking would detect a single flick of emotion on it, but I can read your eyes and you are weakening. Do you care to prove me wrong?"

"No," said Jo as she pulled the other woman into a passionate kiss. When they pulled back she looked into beautiful brown eyes and smiled wickedly, "You did that very well."

"What?"

"You defused my anger very smoothly."

"Did I?"

Jo rolled her eyes and kissed her again and then kissed her way down to Blair's lovely neck. She nibbled until she was sure a nice hickey was obvious to any one bothering to look. She pulled back and looked at Blair, whose eyes were closed and head thrown back as if she were asking for more of the same. She knew her body could definitely oblige her but she restrained herself.

"Yes, you did, "Jo answered hoarsely as two dazed eyes opened to look into her own. Blair had the expression of someone had lost the thread of their conversation.

"You redid my office without consulting me. We had a deal Blair."

"Oh that," Blair looked into the dark paneled room and said innocently. "But it looks like you. Tell me what you don't like and I'll change it?"

Two fingers covered her mouth, "That isn't the point?Um it's kinda nice. But the point is you promised that we would do it together. You promised that you wouldn't steam roll over me?"

"I know but I saw this in an architecture magazine and it just screamed your name. I couldn't resist it?I'm sorry ?" Blair's head fell against Jo's shoulder.

Jo lifted her head gently and saw that she was tearing up and about to cry. She shook her head and dried her tears. She caressed her cheek and said sweetly, "It's ok. I guess?I can live with it."

"Really?"

"Really?and Blair?"

"Yes?" asked the frightened blonde.

Jo shook her head, "I love you." She then scooped her up and carried her to their bedroom kissing her tenderly as she went.

Nat sat moodily in Mrs. G's living room she was staying with her mentor while she looked for a place of her own. She was flipping through the pages of a magazine, but she was not really looking at it.

Tootie came in from the kitchen leaning against the door to living room watching her upset friend. She had two mugs of hot chocolate in her hands; she sighed as she brought them to her friend with a sweet understanding smile.

"Here you go."

"Thanks," said Nat putting down the mug untouched next to the magazine.

"Come on Nat. What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Nat, I'm your best friend please tell me."

"Enough Dorothy!" Yelled Nat as got up and stormed out of the house.

"Dorothy? Shit, she never calls me that!" cried Tootie as she reached for the phone and waited for a familiar voice on the other end.

"Blair, I need your help. Something is very wrong?Yeah I can be over there in about 10 minutes Ok?.And Blair, Thanks. Bye." She hung up the phone and took the untouched mugs into the kitchen as she left the house to go to Blair and Jo's place.

"Don't worry Nat, We'll figure this out."

*** *** *** ***

"Do you want something to drink, Tootie?" asked Jo kindly from the breakfront in the living room of their home.

Blair was sitting next to Tootie, holding her hand and Tootie was leaning her head on Blair's shoulder trying to get her emotions together enough so she could explain what was happening to her friends.

"Um, could I have a glass of water, Jo?"

"I can get you something stronger if you want."

Tootie smiled up into Jo's compassionate eyes and shook her head no. Jo was
now wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She looked almost like she did when they were girls in Eastland, except now the beautiful brunette carried with herself with an unconscious sense of sophistication everywhere she went. "No thanks. Just sit down next to me please."

Jo nodded and sat down on her other side gently rubbing her shoulder with a strong tender hand. Tootie felt very loved and protected when she was with these older women, they were her big sisters, and they were always there for her. Blair poured Tootie a glass of water from a carafe on the table and asked gently, "What's wrong, Kiddo?"

"It's Nat?she's so moody and miserable. She was just fine 'til two days ago and then she just disappeared. Blair have you noticed anything?"

Blair thought seriously over the past week since Nat became her assistant. She looked thoughtful and nodded; "Yes she was fine till a couple of days ago. She has been very quiet and not her usual cheerful self. Whenever I asked her she would say she was fine that she was just not getting much sleep lately."

Tootie nodded and sipped her water. Then she leaned back against the couch and looked from one friend to the other.

"That's what she keeps saying to me too. I'm fine. But she isn't fine. Something is really wrong with her. She loves working with you Blair, so it's not the job, but something must have happened in the last two days. Can you think of anything?"

Blair leaned back against the back of the couch and shook her head. "No, I can't think of anything earth shattering. It's all been very smooth. Nat's been great, very efficient and she seems to enjoy the work?"

Jo had listened carefully to all they had said and suddenly thought of a very important question.

"Tootie, you said she started to act this way two days ago right?"

"Yes, Why?"

"Blair, did anything happen in the last two days at work?"

"No?wait?Yes! We now have a new Director of Sales."

"Kendall Peters right?"

Blair nodded and then her eyes widened, "You don't think??"

"Why not? It makes sense. It has happened before," said Jo significantly with a smile.

Blair smiled back and looked into sparkling blue eyes, "Yes thank God it did?but Nat?"

"Why not? Kendall seems to be very appealing from what I hear from office gossips."

"Yeah keep it at that level?."

"Jealous?"

"No, not jealous just cautious?"

"What the hell are you to babbling about! Who is Kendall Peters?"

"The new Director of Sales in our office."

"So?"

Jo eyed Tootie in amusement and said quietly, "Kendall Peters is a very attractive and successful person."

"Oh? You think?"
"It's possible but?"

"Yes, do really think that Nat would?." Blair asked Jo not sure of where their minds we're going.

"Could you two please tell me what you're going on and on about???" screeched Tootie now frustrated beyond endurance.

Jo sighed and looked over at her young friend kindly saying very softly, "Kendall Peters is a very beautiful and successful woman."

"Oh??oh?OH!" Tootie's face suddenly showed enlightenment.

"Exactly."

*** *** *** ***

After seeing Tootie to the door they returned to what they were doing upstairs before their friend's phone call. Jo brought Blair as close as she could in a loving embrace and passionately kissed her. Her fingers delicately began to unbutton Blair's silk blouse.

Blair gently grabbed the busy hands and said, "Not so fast my grease monkey."

Jo's eyes were ablaze with passion when they met Blair's sparkling brown eyes, "What?"

Blair pulled back the collar of her shirt and said, "This."

Jo's face suddenly became impish, "What are you talking about? I don't see anything." She caressed the neck gently causing Blair to take a deep breath, but she kept herself together determined to make her point.

"Then you need glasses, Sweetheart. What's with marking my beautiful alabaster neck?"

"Mmm. It is the most beautiful neck I have ever seen, but what do you mean about marking it? I don't understand," said Jo innocently enjoying their little game.

"The hickey. You fiend! And you damn well know it!"

"Let's just say that it's pay back."

"So you do admit that you did it?"

"Sure I do. Who else would have done that?"

"Mmm, Payback huh? For what?"

"Manipulating and steamrolling me."

"Would I do that?"

"Oh I think another hickey would be lovely, don't you" Jo said moving closer and putting her hands around Blair's waist bringing her very close.

"You wouldn't? Would you?"

"Admit that you manipulated me."

"I admit it."

"Also admit that you took over decorating my office instead of sharing that privilege like you promised."

"I admit it."

"Good girl," she said kissing her on the top of her head. Then she pulled back and released her. She started to unbutton her blouse as she sat down on the edge of their bed.

"Why are you doing that?"

"Why not? I'm quite capable of undressing myself."

"But?" Now Blair sat down on the chair by the dressing table her head lowered studying her hands.

Jo seeing the game had gone too far, came to her and bent down on her knees in front of her. "I do prefer the feel of your hands against my skin. Would you like to help me?"

Blair looked into Jo's eyes with tears falling down her cheeks she had felt like something had just been taken from her and now it was being returned, "Would I?"

Blair reached out and caressed a soft cheek Jo smiled and brought Blair down into her lap kissing her passionately. Jo pulled back to catch her breath and rubbed her cheek against Blair's and whispered into her ear, "I love you, Princess."

"I love you too, Brat." said Blair, then she kissed her way to Jo's neck to leave a nice matching present on Jo's long swan-like neck.

*** *** *** ***

They were cuddled together in bed in a warm light of afterglow Blair's head was nestled comfortably against Jo's breast. Jo's fingers were absently running through Blair's long blonde hair.

"Jo?"

"Mmm?"

"How are we going to help Nat?"

Jo sighed kissing the crown of Blair's head. Then she pulled her close and leaned back against the pillows that were piled up behind them.

"I really have no idea in my head on this one. I think that we really need to let nature take its course. I mean they do have to like each other."

"Come on don't you think we could give nature a little push?"

Jo turned Blair's head gently to face her and kissed each eye, then her nose and then a tender kiss to the mouth. When they pulled back slightly she brought her forehead against Blair's and asked, "Push? How exactly do we do that?"

Blair reached up and caressed a soft cheek saying, "I could kind of feel Kendall out and find out if she even likes Nat. I could see if she has someone in her life that she's interested in, and if that's Nat I could arrange it so they could get better aquatinted."

Jo chuckled pulling back she shook her head saying, "You haven't changed since we were sixteen. You're still plotting and scheming, I guess it won't hurt for you to talk to her. Please don't mention Nat though. Let her do it on her own. If she brings her up?well?"

"Thank you!" Blair started to kiss her all over her face ending at waiting lips kissing her love passionately. When they pulled back to catch a breath Jo smiled and licked her nose playfully.

"It's always my pleasure."

*** *** *** ***

Blair entered her building alone. She had sent Natalie to pick up some paperwork from one of her new suppliers. She walked confidently down the halls of her building nodding and smiling to her employees as she briskly entered her private domain.

"Toni call Kendall Peters for me," said Blair to her Administrative Assistant.

"Yes Ma'am."

Blair went into her huge beautifully decorated office. She smiled at how it reflected both sides of her personality. It was wood paneled and with oak furniture. Colorful handmade throws were on the old leather couch by the door. On the wall were beautifully done needle works in lovely gold frames all of it personally done by Blair making her office look both elegant and homey.

She sat down and sunk into the comfort of her large leather chair. She loved the feel and smell of the soft leather. It smelled like her Jo when she wore her old leather jacket. She could just feel the soft shoulder against her face as her love hugged her close.

Suddenly Blair was rudely brought out of her daydream by the sudden ringing of her phone on the desk.

"Yes," she answered it hoarsely.

"Blair?"

"Oh hi Kendall could you come to my office? I really need to chat with you for a few minutes."

"Sure, I'll be right there."

"Thanks," Blair said hanging up the phone and gathering her thoughts for the gentle interrogation to come.

There was a knock on her door she looked up and quietly said, "Come in Kendall."

"Hi," The tall striking red head came into the office.

"Hi, Have a seat," said Blair as she looked at Kendall for the first time as a big sister would. She was a protective big sister who wanted to make sure that her beloved kid sister wasn't going to get hurt. The tall woman was well built and she wore a suit like some people wore casual clothes. She had an impish attractive face and a sweet and friendly smile. If things worked out with her and Nat and her she would make a nice addition to her family.

She inwardly sighed and said, "So are you settling in all right?"

"Yes, everyone has been very kind and helpful."

"Good, I hope so. That's the only kind of people I want in my employ. Would you like anyone in particular to help you with the ropes here?"

"No?um?no" Kendall said looking suddenly a little confused.

Blair smiled inwardly and thought, Mmm, interesting. Even Jo would agree that was significant. Time to push the envelope. "I know how about my assistant Nat. She is a wonder and very efficient. She knows me very well what my likes and dislikes are and can help you to start your division on the right foot."

Kendall's eyes widened and then she closed them. She looked up at Blair blinking rapidly and said, "Um, Yes?no?I mean I wouldn't want to take her away from her duties with you?"

"Oh I think it would be good for both of you. She is new to the corporate world and you're new to my company. I would be grateful to you if you would help me introduce her to aspects I simply don't have time for, since she is my dearest friend and it would be helpful to her training as my P.A."

Kendall looked like she was deer caught in the headlights of an on coming car.

Blair thought, I definitely think we have a two-way attraction here. Goody.

"Kendall, are you all right?"

"Um, yes?Of course?I would be happy to help Miss Green, and I'm sure she will be a great help to me as well."

"Help with what?" asked Nat who had just walked into the office.

"Oh Great, Nat! Kendall is going to need some help in transitioning to my little ways so I volunteered you."

"Me?" Nat's face suddenly went pale with shock.

Blair was doing internal cartwheels as she smiled at her friend and said with a sweet smile on her face. "Yep."

**** **** **** ****

"Blair!" Jo yelled as soon as she stepped into the blonde's palatial office. Blair was in the bathroom and called out through the closed door, "What?!?"

"What the hell are you thinking?" said Jo leaning against the wall by the door that led to Blair's elegant bathroom.

"Can this wait until I get out of here?" Blair asked annoyed.

"Yeah, I guess so," Jo walked over to a guest chair plopping herself into it pouting.

Blair came out to find an elegant yet pouting Jo looking accusingly at her.
"Have I ever told you how sexy you look in a business suit?"

"Blair." growled the irritated brunette.

"Well have I?" asked Blair innocently.

Jo rolled her eyes, "That isn't going to work. I know you way too well. Now I repeat what the hell are you thinking!?!"

"Well right this minute I am thinking you are really pissed at me and I'm deeply confused as to why."

"Blair, why did you assign Nat to assist Kendall? You were just supposed to have a little chat with her."

"Oh that. Divine inspiration. They are both new and they can help each other learn the ropes from different perspectives. I also thought they could get better acquainted this way."

"And if Kendall doesn't like Nat, it will break her heart," sighed Jo she put her hands over face and rubbed her eyes.

Blair came to the side of the chair and sat on the arm, "No?Jo, I think Kendall really likes her."

Jo peeked out between her fingers, "Why?"

"My instinct says so." She took the stong hands into her own and kissed each one gently smiling sweetly into disbelieving blue eyes. "Sweetheart, Kendall stuttered when trying to discuss Nat. You don't see suave sophisticated women do that too often."

Jo looked up into the beautiful brown eyes and said, "Why does that mean she likes her? Maybe it means she has issues with her."

"I think I would see that. I'm pretty astute. She also hasn't been around long enough to have issues with anyone yet."

"If you're so astute how come you never figured out that I was in love with you? I fought with and teased you because I liked you, but you never figured that out." Jo asked, her head cocked to one side.

Blair dropped Jo's hands and stood up she looked like she'd been hit by a thunderbolt.

"I don't know?um?I?" The tears came swiftly and Jo was standing and had her in arms instantly. "I'm sorry, Sweetheart. I didn't know you loved me either. I thought it was all on my side. Maybe people are just naturally blind as a bat when love is standing right in front of you, but you can observe it when it's someone else. Maybe that's just human nature." She wiped Blair's eyes and kissed her tenderly.

Blair pulled back and smiled though the tears that were still forming in her eyes. "Maybe." She pulled Jo's lips to hers and kissed her passionately. She caressed her cheek and then stepped out of the embrace to her desk. "Lock the door, love," she said to Jo then she hit her intercom, "Toni, no calls for the rest of the morning."

She pressed a button and the sofa became a bed with baby blue silk sheets. "I had that put in the day after you came home. I would like to have a private meeting with you and I don't want any distractions."

Jo leaned against the door and shook her head in wonder. Then she strode across the room scooped up the executive and took her to the sofa bed. "I think we could have a couple of hours on these issues, don't you?"

"At least."

*** *** *** ***

Mrs. G. was groaning as she was trying to figure out the new accounting system her son Raymond had figured out. There was a knock on her door and with relief at the distraction reflected on her face she said, "Come in."

"Hi ya, Mrs. G.," said Jo she was still in her business suit, briefcase in hand leaning against the door.

"Jo what a nice surprise," said Mrs. G. as she got up to give her young friend a hug.

Jo returned the hug and smiled sweetly. "Thanks. That's what I want to talk to you about. A nice surprise for Blair. Actually I'd like it to be a huge magnificent surprise for Blair."

"Oh, what kind of surprise?"

"How would you like help me by planning and catering our surprise wedding?"

Mrs. G. actually squealed like a little girl and hugged Jo again. Jo laughed at the joyful response and hugged her back.

Mrs. G. stepped back and said in breathless voice, "When?"

"I thought in about two weeks on February 14th."

"Jo, you are such a closet romantic, you do know that don't you?"

Jo blushed and shrugged.

"So what do you want me to do?"

"I'm not sure?um I want it to be beautiful and romantic. I would like to have it here since it all started here. If that's ok?"

"Of course it's ok! I would be honored. Hmm well that's a lot of work in just two weeks. What about Blair's wedding dress? You know how she is?"

"Well?" Jo opened her briefcase and pulled out a copy of Bride Magazine. "I found this in her old hope chest from college the other day. Pages and pages are marked off through whole damn thing. Every part of putting on her dream wedding." Jo smiled like the cat that just swallowed the canary.

"Oh Jo, this is so perfect. Well let's start going though all this?"

"Um, I have to go home. I told Blair I was going to talk to you about a business problem. I said I would be home for dinner. Can I come over tomorrow? Its Saturday and Blair is working on some charity thing with Tootie."

"Sure, that sounds great! You are a rascal."

Jo winked at her friend and left her home office.

**** *** **** ***

"Jo!" called Natalie as she saw the tall brunette cross the living room to leave the house.

"Hey Nat. How are you?" Said Jo stopping, she smiled at her friend.

"Hi?um? can I talk to you about something?"

"Sure only for a bit though. I got to get cracking if I'm going to meet Blair on time."

Nat smiled and looked like her old self for a minute, "The old ball and chain, huh?"

"If Blair ever heard you refer to her as old you be ground under her high heel before you could say Jack Robinson," said Jo with a chuckle at the shocked look on Nat's face.

"Oops sorry. Um, Jo do you know anything about the assignment I got today?"

Jo nodded.

"Do you think you could talk to Blair and get her to change her mind? Talk her into putting someone more experienced in the position."

"Nat, Blair wants you to learn about the corporate world since it's all new to you. There are a lot of aspects that Blair doesn't have time to teach you and Kendall does. Kendall is new to our office and Blair's weird little ways that you know like the back of your hand. That seems like a fit to me," Jo said quietly putting a gentle hand on Nat's shoulder. She did agree that it couldn't hurt for them to get better acquainted and this was a gentle way of doing it. After all that's how she and Blair fell in love.

"Yes I know that you're right but?"

"But?"

Nat suddenly turned red and shook her head, "Nothing. Thanks anyway." said Nat as she ran out of the room and up the stairs.

Jo shook her head and walked to the door thinking, I wish she would just open up about it. It would do her some good to talk about it. I think I'm going to give Tootie a call from our place. If anyone can push Nat into talking it's Tootie.

*** *** *** ***

Nat saw Tootie come in. She was surprised to see her since she knew that she had plans with Blair today.

"Hi!"

"Hi yourself sit," said Tootie, dragging her surprised friend to the couch in the living room.

"Tootie! What!"

"What is wrong with you? We're all sick of it! You're acting like a scared little squirrel. Now spill it. My patience is gone!"

"It's none of your business!"

"So there is something? Good. At least you admitted it. Now tell me what the hell is going on in that thick skull!"

"Tootie I don't want to talk about it!"

"No, you just want to make yourself sick!"

They were standing inches away from each other in the living room screaming at the top of their lungs. Luckily Mrs. G. was at the grocery store so Tootie knew they wouldn't be interrupted. She knew this was the only way to get her stubborn friend to talk.

Nat looked speechless she felt like she was sinking in quicksand. She sank down on to the couch and began to cry. The crying became sobbing and that broke Tootie's heart. She sat down next to her friend and brought her into an embrace holding her close rubbing her back.

"Shhh it's Ok. Come on. Tell me."

"Tootie, it's just that I'm really in love for the first time in my life. It's with someone who couldn't possibly care about me. And now?now?Blair has me working very closely with her?and I'm afraid?.I'll?.I'll?."

"Slip up?"

Nat nodded against her oldest and dearest friend's shoulder. She took a deep breath and said, "I'm so scared. I'm such a screw up."

"No you're not?"

Nat pulled back and looked into Tootie's compassionate brown eyes and said, "I'm an ugly, fat, stupid and a damn screw up. Why would anyone even notice someone like me?"

"Nat, she couldn't, but you're not the person you just described. You're smart and funny. You're a sweetheart and very cute. Come on you know you're adorable, or Blair and Jo would have killed you a long time ago because of your antics. You are one of the most clever and talented people we know. We all love you."

"Tootie, there is a big difference between the love between friends and being in love with someone. I doubt I will ever experience the latter."

"You're wrong Nat. I think it's a good thing that you and Kendall will be working together. It will give you a chance to get to know each other. I think this a very non-threatening way of doing this. it actually was a brilliant idea of Blair's."

"How do you know its Kendall? Do you think Blair knows and that's why she did this?"

"Nat, we all know. We figured it out."

Nat suddenly stood up, "Oh my God! Does Kendall know?" She started to pace in a panic.

Tootie jumped up and grabbed her by her shoulders, "No she doesn't know. Calm down."

"Tootie, what am I going to do?"

"You're going to allow Kendall to get see the real you. Brilliant, playful, nutty and very, very lovable."

"I really hope your right."

"Of course I am. What are best friends for?"

Nat smiled slightly and hugged Tootie to her, "Thanks best friend."

Tootie pulled back and winked, "Anytime."

*** *** *** ****

Jo was waiting for Blair to leave the house so she could go to Mrs. G's without explanation to work on their wedding. Blair was trying to figure out what would be the best outfit for this charity committee meeting.

"Blair, isn't Tootie going to be here any minute to pick you up?" Jo was sitting on the edge of the bed nervously tapping her foot against the floor.

"Yes," said Blair from the closet she was distracted by the three silk blouses she was trying decide amongst.

"Um is it nice to keep her waiting?"

"Oh she's used to it."

Jo lay back on the bed and grumbled. Blair looked out of the closet at Jo. She was wearing a velvet-jogging suit and looked very sleek and yet cuddly. She went next to her and felt the soft material of the suit on her long leg. "Mmm this is nice and soft."

Jo smiled and said, "Well you can cuddle against it all you want when you come home."

"Mmmm, how about now?"

"Blair, you can't go back on your word. And I can't go back on mine to Mrs. G. to help her."

"Oh that reminds me what's this business you're helping Mrs. G with?"

Shit! thought Jo, "Just some paper work and planning. You know dull stuff." said Jo trying to be nonchalant.

"Then if it's so dull come with me?"

"Sweetheart, I can't. I promised her," said Jo caressing the soft skin of Blair's neck right at the nape causing Blair to moan and capture her hand with her neck.

"Well maybe I can come with you and help out?" She said as her hand started to unzip the jacket. Jo's hand caught the busy little fingers and kissed each finger until Blair started to purr like a kitten. Then she rolled on top of her and kissed her deeply.

"Blair!!!!" yelled Tootie from downstairs, "Come on, we're already late!"

Both women groaned and pulled apart. Blair went to the door and yelled, "I'll be right down!" She then turned to Jo, "We will continue this later when we come home won't we?"

"Yes, I guarantee it," said Jo lying back on the bed getting her breath back. Thank you Tootie your timing for once was on target Thought Jo half relieved and half-disappointed; she had been enjoying herself.
*** *** *** ***

Mrs. G. and Jo were pouring over Blair's special copy of Bride Magazine. Mrs. G. shook her head in wonder, "That girl is a true wonder. She has everything a young woman needs to march down the aisle. She is certainly efficient."

"That's my Darlin'," said Jo with a smile. "But isn't this way out of date? I mean it was published in the 80's."

Mrs. G. winked at her young friend, "Oh don't worry we can adjust it to be more up to date. I just need to understand how she wants everything and the type of style she preferred. Then we update it by comparison shopping? But what about you Jo? What are you going to do? Do you have any ideas for what you want to wear?"

Jo shrugged and leaned back in her chair and said, "Mrs. G. I just don't want to disappoint Blair. What ever you think will make her happy will be ok with me."

"But Jo, you must want something?"

"I want to make my beloved happy. That will make me happy," answered Jo quietly.

"Jo, please believe me everything you have done since you've come home has made Blair very, very happy. In fact everything you have done has made the girls and I happy too. You are a kind, generous, loving person and we're all very proud of you."

Jo looked down and blushed beet red causing Mrs. G. to smile. Jo rubbed her face with her hands and then peeked out between her fingers and said, "Thanks."

"It's my honor Jo. We are really so very happy for both of you."

Jo looked up at Mrs. G. through her eyelashes and cleared her throat, "Thanks?um?.Mrs. G. how are we going to comparison shop?"

Mrs. G. accepted the change of subject and replied, "Did you ever hear of the Internet my friend?" She answered with a wicked smirk.

"So how did it go with Nat, Tootie?" asked Blair as she sat with Tootie outside the meeting room at the hotel where the committee meeting was to take place.

Tootie looked at her elegant friend and smiled, "I got her to admit how she felt and to tell me why she was acting so nutso," She looked into Blair's compassionate eyes and continued, "She felt she wasn't good enough for her?"

"What?"

"I know, but she convinced herself that she was unattractive and unlovable. I've had a screaming match with her, but I finally convinced her that she was wrong and that she was good enough for anyone with a heart."

Blair shook her head, "Why would she feel that way? She has so many wonderful qualities. We all love her?"

"She says there's a big difference between loving someone and being in love with someone."

Blair looked into Tootie's warm eyes and agreed quietly, "She does have a very good point there. There is a big difference. But Tootie I can feel that this is a two-way thing. Kendall feels something for her I think all they need is some time together."

"Well Miss I've got another brilliant idea, this time you did." Said Tootie with a smirk.

Blair laughed and playfully slapped Tootie in the arm, "You bet I did."

Kendall paced the entire length of her office in pure agitation.

"Why am I so nervous? We're just going to do some work together," she said out loud to herself.

There was a quiet knock at her door she looked at it like a scared rabbit. She went to sit behind her desk as she said, "Come in."

The door opened and her eyes met Nat's shy eyes.

"Hi."

"Hi come on in, Miss Green."

"Thanks?um, could you call me Natalie or Nat please? Miss Green is a little too formal for me."

"Sure. Would Natalie be ok?"

Nat nodded.

"Please call me Kendall. Also have a seat."

Nat sat down in guest chair as she looked at her hands while answering the executive, "Um?I'm not sure that would be proper?"

"What do you call Blair?" Kendall asked with a smirk.

"Well Blair of course?"

Kendall nodded and smiled, "Yep and she's the CEO."

"But Blair is one of my oldest friends and?oh?Ok, then Kendall it is. Thanks."

Kendall relaxed a bit once she realized that Nat was as nervous as she was. "Don't worry Natalie I would like to be your friend too."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"I'd like that too?"

"Good?Shall we get started here?" asked Kendall as she got up and walked to her worktable pulling out a chair for the other woman.

"Yes, let's," Said Nat with a bright smile and sparkling eyes.

Kendall sat down across from her with a deep breath she was so caught up in the beautiful eyes.

Blair came home from a long day exhausted; she was slightly surprised that the lights seemed to be out. She opened the door and peered in to see a sea of flickering candle light everywhere she looked. She blinked and closed the door behind her as she called out, "Jo?"

"Follow the candles, Sweetheart."

Blair put her briefcase down by the door in the foyer. She followed the candles to the living room and almost fainted. It was a wonderland with candles and little white Christmas lights strung through out the room. In the middle was an elegant table set up for dinner in place of their glass coffee table was a dance floor. The only thing missing was her beloved.

"Jo, where are you?"

"Right here," said a sexy low voice right in her ear. Blair felt two strong arms encircle her stomach and pull her close. Blair could feel through her silk blouse that Jo was naked and felt her strong fingers quickly unbuttoning her blouse. "I told you I would make it up to you," she heard purring in her ear. It was a wonder that Blair could hear her since her ears were roaring in physical reaction to what her love was doing to her. Blair found herself in only her slip and shoes. "Slip your shoes off love," said Jo as she pulled the slip off over her head.

Jo led her love to their bedroom where there were more little white lights and the bed was covered with rose pedals. Blair's eyes filled with tears, "Oh Jo?I can't believe this? You are something else."

"It's only because I love you. I wanted to show you in a special way," said Jo as she picked her up and carried her to their bed. She gently placed her on the bed and followed her cuddling her close. She was caressing her and nuzzling her gently as Blair returned the caresses and nibbled a sweet ear.

Slowly they began to kiss, caress, and taste every inch of each other until Blair was no longer able to think. Jo slowly kissed her way to the beautiful breasts loving each one till Blair's was unable to control herself. Jo was on a high spiral herself, but she was where she wanted to be most in the world. She entered Blair's apex and brought her so high that she went willingly with her as they fell over the edge together into loving oblivion.

Blair's eyes slowly opened and met a pair of astonished blue eyes and said in a very throaty voice, "You said you would make it up to me, but I really didn't expect something like this."

Jo smiled and ran her fingers along her jaw line, "Neither did I all I was trying to do was show you how much I loved you."

Blair reached out and cupped both Jo's cheeks and kissed her sweetly. She pulled back and said, "My Sweet love, everything you do shows me that."

Jo pulled Blair even closer and then rolled over so she was on top of her and kissed her deeply. They enjoyed exploring until they ran out of breath. Jo rolled over again so this time Blair was on top of her. She smiled up at her and asked, "Would you like some dinner?"

"I'm starved. How did you know that?"

Jo smirked and lovingly patted Blair's behind, "Well it wasn't great detective work I heard your tummy ask for it." she said laughing.

Blair playfully hit her in the arm and said, "Brat."

"Well, I have a very special meal all ready for you, and I really would like you to eat some of it before it gets too cold to enjoy."

"Are we going to eat Au Natural?"

Jo smirked and reached down pulling up a long box from beneath the bed,
"Here."

Blair gave Jo a cockeyed look; "You are full of surprises aren't you?" She opened the box and gasped. It was a beautiful French lace nightgown in pink. "Oh Jo, It's so beautiful. I love it. Thank you."

Jo kissed Blair gently and said quietly, "You're welcome."

"What are you going to wear, Love?"

"What ever you want me to."

"Really?"

"Yes it's your night."

"Mmm, sounds wonderful to me."

Blair sat at the beautifully done table with an incredibly silly expression on her face. She had a fantasy for the longest time and it was fulfilled this evening. She felt positively giddy as Jo sat across from her quietly eating her dinner with nothing on but her air of sophistication and a bow tie.

Jo was very comfortable because she had the forethought to put a cushion on her chair and turn the heat up. She was always comfortable in her own skin. though the only person in the world she would do this for was sitting across from her. She looked into the sparkling happy eyes, and she couldn't help but smile back.

She poured a glass of champagne first for Blair then herself and asked quietly, "So are you enjoying yourself?"

"Oh yeah."

"Did you like your dinner?"

"It's kind of hard to concentrate on the food, but yes it's wonderful."
"You do like pheasant under glass don't you?"

"Oh yes."

"Is it cooked to your liking?"

"You said Mrs. G. cooked so yes of course it's perfect."

"Good, I have another little surprise."

"Jo I'm not sure my heart could take another one like this."

"Well I hope you can because I want a long and happy life with you."

Blair smiled and blushed a little, "What's your surprise, Love?"

Jo got up and came around the table and helped Blair up. Then she started dancing with the surprised blonde. She held her close and almost melted as Blair's hands caressed the warm flesh of her back. She quietly whispered in her ear, "Do you have any plans this weekend?"

"Jo, we're in the middle of the weekend."

Jo chuckled and nibbled the sweet ear by her mouth then she pulled back and asked, "Yes I know that, I meant next weekend."

"Um?no?why?" Blair was melting under the onslaught of kisses that Jo was attacking her neck with.

"Good, you and I are going away for two weeks. All arranged," Jo purred as she caressed Blair's back and worked her way around the soft the neck.

"Are we," muttered Blair in reply not really knowing exactly what was being said her mind floating away on a cloud.

"Yep."

They finished dancing and Jo kissed her deeply and then scooped her back in her arms to take her back to their room. She had put all the candles out before she sat down for desert so it was safe to go to the bedroom for the rest of the night.

As Jo gently lowered Blair to their bed Blair asked, "Where are you taking me?"

"A pre-honeymoon at a pretty cabin in the Catskills."

"Jo, what are you concocting?"

"Your happiness," said Jo as she began to slowly kiss every inch of the woman below her.

"Um?.what?ahh?"Blair's further inquiries were halted by Jo's descent down her body. She forgot everything but the feel of the soft lips against her skin and wonderful warm spiral that Jo was pushing her up toward.

"We're what?" asked Tootie and Nat at the same time.

"Jo has it all set up to keep everything at the company to run smoothly while she takes Blair away for two weeks. Meanwhile we will be completing the preparations for Blair's surprise on Valentines Day, Their wedding."

"Mrs. G., how are we going to put together all of Jo's plans for their wedding?" Asked Tootie reasonably.

"With this. Blair has her dream wedding all planned out and all Jo wants to do is fulfill it. We updated via the Internet now all we have to do is follow this guide."

Nat took the book and flipped through the pages. She smiled at the older woman and said, "You guys did a great job."

"Thanks, I do know a thing or two."

Nat and Tootie looked at each other and smiled. Then they looked into the eyes of their Mentor and went to her hugging her, "Of course you do. I don't know how the four of us would have survived without you. You were our best friend and mentor. You always supported us through anything, even if our parents didn't. You not only knew everything and you were everything to us," said Nat sweetly.

Mrs. G. had tears pouring from her cheeks as she returned the hug and kissed them both on the cheek. "I didn't know everything, but I did try. Come on girls let's go to work, we have a huge occasion to plan." she said pulling back with a motherly smile. The girls nodded and followed their friend into the kitchen to plan the special day for their best friends.

Monday morning Kendall walked into her office to find Natalie waiting for her.

"Um, Hi?"

"Natalie! What are you doing here?"

"Um, Well?I'm on a mission from Jo. She's taken Blair away for a couple of weeks so we?so we can plan something special for Blair and she wants the Directors to run the company. She wants them to run it by committee and she wants you to chair it?"

"Me!?!" Kendall almost keeled over, "Natalie why me?"

"Jo trusts you and so does Blair. Simple."

"But?"

"Please Kendall trust Jo she usually knows what she's doing," said Nat with a sweet smile.

"I do trust Jo? She's a formidable woman, and she's nice. But me?"

"Yes, Jo specifically instructed the others that you would be in charge."

Kendall sat down in her chair shaking her head in wonder. She looked up at Natalie and smiled, "Ok If they trust me, I don't want to disappoint them. Um, Natalie I would really like to talk to you about another issue."

"Sure."

"Um, Not now. Let's get this board meeting over with first. When are we supposed to meet?"

"Ten am."

"Ok, then we'll meet back here at twelve pm. We can have lunch and talk, ok?"

"Sure, anything you say." said Nat a little puzzled by the intensity of the invitation.

"Good?Natalie I?Um?.never mind we'll talk at lunch."

Nat nodded and left the office to go to Blair's. She had a lot of phone calling to do for her absent boss.

Kendall leaned back into her chair, "Please give me strength," she whispered looking up toward the heavens.

Blair had been unpacking for their stay at the beautiful cabin, Blair was amazed at the beauty and the size of it the way Jo had described it she thought it was a tiny rustic cabin that they would have to go to a well for water. Instead the beautiful brunette found them this incredible well-appointed hunting lodge. It had beautiful paneling and antiques. She put their clothes in a large antique wardrobe when she heard piano playing from another room.

She followed the music and was surprised to find Jo playing. She knew she could but she had never actually witnessed it before. Jo's eyes were closed and she was swaying to the rhythm of As Time Goes By. Suddenly a beautiful voice began to sing;

You must remember this
A kiss is just a kiss
A sigh is just sigh
The fundamental things in life apply
As time goes by?

Blue eyes slowly opened to meet enchanted brown ones and she continued to serenade her love;

And when two lovers woo
They still say I love you
Of that you can't deny
The happiness we all must feel
As Time Goes By?

"Oh Jo?"

Jo smiled and continued to play the old beloved love song humming with the music, Blair came over and sat next to her on the piano bench putting her arms around her loves waist putting her head on the strong shoulder.

"I love you too," she purred into her ear.

Jo turned her head meeting luscious lips. She stopped playing and returned the embrace pulling her close. She brought the lips to hers and kissed her deeply.

Nat nervously paced in front of Kendall's office door at 1159 a.m. She knocked finally and heard a quiet. "Come in Natalie."

Nat came in to find that there was now a table set up for lunch in the middle of the office.

"Lock the door, please Natalie," said Kendall in a very quiet voice.

Natalie looked confused, but followed instructions she locked the door and turned toward Kendall as she lit candles in the middle of the pretty table.

Kendall's eyes met Natalie's pretty gray eyes and smiled sincerely, "Please have a seat," she said as she pulled out a chair for the other woman. When Natalie uncertainly sat down she gently pushed the chair in under the table and caressed her cheek lovingly, "Are you comfortable?"

"Yes, thank you." squeaked Natalie even more nervous.

"Good," said Kendall. She walked to the other side of the table and sat down. "I hope you like veal cutlet?"

Natalie nodded swallowing unable to answer because of the terror she would say something to screw this up, What if she thinks I eat like a pig? She thought to herself as she played with her food.

"Natalie relax, please?I want to clear the air about a few things?I just want to talk."

"Ok," Natalie squeaked again taking a sip of water from the table.

Kendall sighed and said, "Please relax Natalie we're all alone here."

Natalie put down her glass and stared at her lap she said very quietly, "I know that's why I'm nervous?"

"But why?"

"Nothing."

Kendall stood up and walked next to her kneeling down so she was on level with the other woman. She took her hand and said, "Natalie the reason I asked you here is that I needed to tell you?"

She softly lifted Natalie's chin with her other hand until their eyes met, "I really like you? It's more then like?.I'm very attracted to you and I kind of hoped that?well you liked me too?." She sighed again as she studied the frightened eyes and she let go of her and lowered her head studying the suddenly interesting pattern on the rug.

Natalie was finding it very hard to breathe as she stared at the top of the beautiful head in front of her. She was stunned. She had forcibly remembered to breathe as she tried to get her brain back in gear. She reached out and gently lifted Kendall's chin until her eyes were once again meeting hers.

"I really like you too, I have for a long time. My friends all figured it out before I had the guts to tell them?Did someone?Did Blair??"

"No, I didn't know if you felt the same way?I just hoped like hell that you did."

Natalie swallowed and asked, "So where do we go from here?"

"Here," said Kendall as she brought Nat's lips to hers and kissed her passionately, when they parted Natalie put her arms around Kendall bringing her closer. "Could you show that to me again? I'm really a very slow learner." As Kendall kissed her deeply till Natalie's toes curled and she felt herself fall into the magic of the kiss floating off on a beautiful pink cloud of bliss.

Blair and Jo were curled up on a couch in the living room of the cabin, a warm comforter and nothing else covered them. They were both glowing and exhausted from exploring each other's bodies. They had decided to rest in front of blazing fire with beautiful music playing on the CD player that Jo had brought with them.

The gentle tones of Lionel Richie singing "Angel" enveloped them as they cuddled against each other with in the spell of the beautiful lyrics.

Blair's eyes met Jo's and she said quietly, "That's what you've always been to me. My angel, even when we were kids. When I was a kid and scared I knew I could trust you to be honest with me and help me. You always made me feel safe."

Jo smiled and kissed her cheek "Me too I started to confide in you slowly after I figured out I could trust you once I saw that I could you count on you and that you would always be there for me. Even when we disagreed it was in each other's best interest. It just took maturity to realize that." She nuzzled the soft cheek and gently lowered her lips to kiss the sweet neck.

"Are you sure you're going to be able to stand two weeks with only me?"

"Yep."

"What about our office?"

"Taken care of, I told the directors to work by committee and I put Kendall in as the chair because I trust her."

"Mmm, and you always say you have no feel for corporate structure. That is so perfect." She said kissing the forehead beneath her.

"That's 'cause I don't know a damn thing about all that, I just have a feel for who is trustworthy and I knew Kendall was very trustworthy. She won't screw you my love."

"Us."

"Us. Um Blair?Your Mother won't like that you know."

"I know she won't like us, but she accepts my decisions now. She knows I always work in the Warner best interest and since Dad died she gives me free reign.

"I'm sorry she doesn't like me, Sweetheart."

"No it not you. It's the fact I'm not following her plan for me. She now won't set me up anymore for which I am very grateful."

Jo laughed at that remembering the last guy with a wicked look in her eyes she said, "You and me both," Her hands began to explore the soft skin under the comforter.

"Um, Jo ?I thought we were going to?.Mmmm, resssst," she moaned as a hot mouth began to follow the path of the warm hands.

Jo murmured against her neck, "I feel just fine?"as she began to kiss her way under the comforter.

Blair's fingers gripped the sides of the couch her head thrown back as she groaned out the words, "Yes?you?are!!!!"

The hot mouth reached her erect breasts suckling it with a great deal of enthusasium. Blair was now wiggling under the exciting attention. Jo's strong well- shaped hands cupped Blair's sex as she switched breasts at the same time entering the apex causing Blair to scream out, "Yes Jo!!!Oh My!!!!!!" Jo kissed her way down until she reached the ambrosia pouring from her love. She lapped it up like a greedy kitten causing the blonde to scream out again, "Jo!!!!!!!!!!!!!" which caused Jo to fall over the edge calling out Blair's name in pure reaction.

Jo recovered first crawling up Blair's body she pulled the still reacting woman in her arms. They were both panting and glimmering with sweat. She kissed Blair cheeks whispering; "Now this is what I call relaxing."

Nat was wearing a huge silly grin as she came into Mrs. G's. When she saw Tootie sitting on the couch she giggled and in a sing-song voice said, "How is every little thing today, Dorothy?"

Tootie looked at her friend in astonishment.

"Dorothy?"

"That is your name isn't it?"

"Yes, but you have yet to use it. What happened to you?"

"What makes you think anything happened to me?" She asked with a smile looking like the cat that ate the canary.

"Nat!"

"Sit."

Nat lead her back to the couch and sat down with her. Then Nat finally gushed, "Kendall likes me! She kissed me! She?thinks I'm special. Me! She says she's in love with me. I don't know what to do. I basically floated out of the office. I don't know how I got home. We decided it was only ok to tell you and Jo and Blair. Of course Mrs. Garret but that's it. We're going to keep it private. She is going to come over after dinner to help with all the final preparations for the wedding. I?I?." Suddenly overwhelmed she bursted into tears onto her friend's shoulder. Tootie embraced her friend and patted her head gently as she said quietly.

"I am so happy for you. Why are you crying? I thought you were happy."

Nat pulled back and looked up into the compassionate brown eyes and shrugged helplessly. "I don't know?I'm ?happy?." She burst into tears again.

"I hate to see when you're depressed, this place would be flooded!" said Tootie teasing her old friend shaking her head. She continued to hold her trying to comfort her confused friend.

Mrs. G., Tootie, and Nat all sat around the kitchen table preparing the final touches for their friend's ceremony.

Jo was to bring Blair home the next day and they wanted everything to be perfect.

The knock at the door made Nat jump straight to the ceiling, she giggled and ran to open it.

Kendall stood there with a single red rose and sweet smile for her.

"Hi."

"Hi," said Nat blushing.

"For you," said Kendall handing her the rose then coming into the house. As soon as the door closed Kendall engulfed her in a bear hug bringing her very close. She whispered in her ear, "I missed you."

"I missed you too," replied Nat into the warm neck she was kissing. Kendall pulled back smiling into Nat's eyes and then brought her soft lips to her own kissing her passionately.

Mrs. G. and Tootie walked in on the kiss Nat had told Mrs. G. about them when she came back for the final touches on Blair and Jo's ceremony. Mrs. G. had been checking the hall where the ceremony was to take place. Mrs. G was more then pleased by Nat's news, her young friend was happy and in love and that's all that was important to her.

"Eh-hem!" interrupted the older woman with a huge smile.

The two women pulled out of the embrace and smiled at their friends sheepishly.

"Hello, Mrs. Garrett," said Kendall very quietly.

"Hi Kendall. Welcome to our little family."

Nat's face beamed with pride at what her friend had just said. And Kendall blushed beet red replying quietly, "Thank you very much. I really appreciate that."

"What exactly are you appreciating? You're a very welcome addition. Please come all the way in and sit down."

The two girls were arm in arm as they walked to the couch and sat across from Tootie and Mrs. G.

Kendall looked right into Mrs. G's eyes as she said, "I appreciate that you accept this. Us, that you are being so kind about it. It's not the norm and I really am very grateful to you for it."

"Well I am pretty open minded, Kendall. I watched these girls grow up into the fine young women they are. All I want is for them to be happy. You are making our Nat very happy. She hasn't been for a long time though she's learned to hide it very well. You are a sweet lady. Jo and Blair both like and trust you. That says a lot to me because I trust their judgment. I think you are an excellent addition to our little family. Don't you Tootie?"

Tootie nodded and smiled brightly. She looked at her oldest and dearest friend who was blushing deeply. She smiled affectionately at her and said, "I think Nat finally realizes she's a very special woman. Thanks to you Kendall. I'm really grateful to you for that. All I ever heard was how no one would ever love her?"

"Tootie!" Nat screeched embarrassed. Kendall laughed and pulled her close kissing her on the nose.

Tootie giggled and rolled her eyes, "What? Like it's a big secret? Really! I am very happy you found each other. Now my friends how about putting some effort at finding my special someone? I'm all alone here. I could use a little help finding my guy wherever the hell he's hiding. I'm going to be an old maid?"

Mrs. G smiled at the beautiful young woman and said, "Some old maid!"

They all broke up even Tootie after struggling for a few minutes not to.

"One thing at a time. We have to finalize the wedding first and then we'll all try and find you your mate. I'm sure we will find someone out there for you who can still chew his own food you poor old thing."

Blair had packed all their stuff and Jo had set about cleaning the cabin and loading the suitcases into the car. They would be going home after breakfast that morning, Blair felt absolutely wonderful. She was very relaxed and happy and it was all because of the dark haired beauty that just came back into the cabin. She shed her coat and dropped exhausted on the deep comfortable couch sighing and throwing the pillow over her pretty face.

"Tired?"

"A little," admitted the stubborn brunette.

"I made you some hot cocoa."

"Thanks Love," said Jo who reached up and accepted the hot mug off the tray that Blair was holding.

Blair sat on the arm of the chair running her fingers through the soft dark hair. "Did I remember to say thank you?"

"Yes," Jo replied smiling up into the sparkling brown eyes that she loved so very much.

"Good," she said looking deeply into the beautiful blue eyes and said quietly, "Your right we did need this little break."

"Gee, Sometimes I am right, Huh?" replied Jo with a huge grin as she sipped her drink.

Blair took the cup and sat it down on the end table next to her. She then leaned down until she was on top of the other woman. "Yes you can be right from time to time," she mumbled as she began to kiss the dark woman along her jaw line.

Jo gulped a few times as she muttered, "Um Blair, I thought we were getting ready to go home?"

"Don't worry we will," she replied as she nibbled the delicate ear between her teeth. Her nimble hands unbuttoning the black and red work shirt the other woman was wearing, "We may be a bit delayed though?"

Jo's head went back against the pillows as the warm mouth made contact with the skin between her breasts, "But?"

"Shhh, Stop resisting my love?"

"But?"

"So we will be a bit later, no one will mind?."

Everything was set up for the wedding all that was missing was the bridal couple. Mrs. Garret paced in front of the back door knowing that when they came home that was where they would enter.

Come on Jo, Hurry or our perfectly timed wedding will fall apart, So get here all ready, She thought as she leaned against the door looking out the small window.

An hour later the Lexus sped into its place in Mrs. G's garage when Jo was at the older woman's home. She and Blair still had their spaces because they were over so often to visit their beloved friend.

"Why were you speeding Jo? And if you're in such a hurry why aren't we going home instead of Mrs. G's?" asked Blair completely mystified, by her mates agitated state.

"I promised Mrs. G. something. Come on Love, your going to help me explain why I'm so late," Jo said grabbing Blair's hand as she led her into the familiar house.

As they entered the house Mrs. G grabbed both their hands and pulled up the back stairs.

"Hey! Where are you two pulling me? Mrs. Garrett??? What's?"

Just as they turned the corner she almost fainted. Luckily for her, her beloved was right behind her arms ready to catch her just in case. Those arms gently went around her waste as a loving voice whispered, "Happy Wedding Day, Darling."

In front of Blair in the bedroom that she and Jo usually shared was everything to make Blair the perfect bride. Everything she ever dreamed was present in the room. She stuttered, "But..I..Um.."

"It wasn't me Blair, I just followed Jo's instructions." said the older woman with tears in her eyes.

Blair turned within Jo's arms and looked into the sparkling blue eyes asking, "This was your idea?"

Jo nodded and blushed as she gently brushed some hair behind Blair's ear, "Yes, because I love you so much."

"Oh Jo?"

"So let's get ready for our special day. Mrs. G. I'm giving you very temporary custody of my beloved while I go get ready myself," Said Jo with slight bow. She gave Blair a heart felt kiss and brushed her cheek with her own before she left. Then she went into one of the other rooms to transform herself into one half of the bridal party saying, "Get moving Warner" over her shoulder as she left.

She had a cocky expression on her face as she left the startled blonde closing the door she squealed with delight. She must have been stunned to let me get away with that crack, Jo thought to herself as she went to shower and change for her special surprise.

*** **** **** ***

Jo was pacing at the bottom of the stairs. The limo they had ordered had arrived already and she knew she had only a half hour to get to the ceremony. She knew they were about to break a few traditions, but she also knew that Blair was going to love what she had planned.

She was wearing a white Armani Tux that Tootie helped her pick out. A blue tie and cumberbun highlighted it. She made sure that each of them had all the traditional stuff as well as her own slant on the ceremony. Her only aim was to please the woman upstairs. She wore a red rose in her button hole her hair was pulled up into a French twist by Tootie, and she wore some borrowed blue sapphire earrings from Mrs. G. Kendall and Nat were waiting at the hall to supervise that end now all she needed was her bride.

At the top of the stairs flanked by Tootie and Mrs. G. was the woman she loved and she had to catch her breath as she looked into the tear-filled brown eyes. She was dressed in a beautiful white wedding dress that swept all the way to the floor. It had puffy sleeves and cinched waist. She looked like a princess. Her hair was pulled up into a diamond tiara the veil was attached to the top making her look like she was floating in white.

"Blair you look so beautiful you break my heart," said Jo in a breathless voice.

"So do you you're stunning. Who picked that out its wonderful?"

Jo smiled and shook her head pointing to a blushing Tootie, "Our theatrical friend did."

Blair walked down the stairs and kissed Jo on the cheek. Then she said to Tootie, "You did a great job Tootie, she looks wonderful. Thank you."

Jo kissed Blair on the nose and said, "We did this for you, Sweetheart."

Blair blushed and walked toward the door where the chauffeur waited for them. She stopped and looked into twinkling blue eyes and whispered, "Um we're not suppose to see each other before the ceremony."

"We've made a few changes to tradition; we are making our own new traditions. First change is that we go together and we walk down the aisle together."

"Oh, you know I like that idea. It makes more sense to me. Isn't any one going to stand up for us though?"

"Yes, but they will go first, and then we will enter together at the end. Don't worry it will be beautiful I'll give you the whole low down on the way."

*** *** *** *** ***

The hall was filled with family and friends. The only people missing were Blair's mother and Mrs. G's son Raymond. Raymond couldn't make it cause of an emergency, and Mrs. G. just couldn't convince Monica Warner to come. She loved Blair and liked Jo, but she couldn't bring herself to accepting this. It didn't surprise either of them when Mrs. G told them. It made Blair a little sad, but she knew that sooner or later she would accept it or not be in her daughter's life. She knew that her mother couldn't stand that thought either.

So Jo's parents went first followed by Mrs. Garrett. They took their seats in front and waited for the rest of the party to enter. Tootie and Nat came next and stood at each side of the podium. Kendall came in a side door and stepped on to the podium she was an ordained minister and was going to do the ceremony for her friends.

Then the bridal couple walked down the aisle slowly they glowed they looked so beautiful. They looked up at Kendall with huge smiles on their faces that she returned.

"We are all gathered in these family surroundings filled with love and hope as we bond these two beloved members of our family in love. They are here to be joined together in love and understanding. God blesses this love as does this company since it is founded in love that the Creator invented. Jo?"

Jo turned toward her beloved and said, "Blair, I think I fell in love with you during one of our many verbal fights. There was such a spark and fire in your eyes that it lit my soul and hooked me through that bond of love and fire. I will love and protect you until the day I die. You're my soulmate and I am so lucky you came into my life." She then placed the beautiful white gold ring on the small finger and kissed the back of her hand.

Blair's brown eyes were filled with tears as they met Jo's sparkling blue ones. "I wasn't expecting this. I have nothing planned to say. I guess I will just say what's in my heart I love you so much that I can hardly express it. You are my soulmate and I want to cherish you and grow old with you." She said quietly as she placed the ring that Tootie handed her on Jo's long elegant finger kissing the back of the hand and brining it against her cheek.

They both turned to Kendall who had tears going down her cheeks as she said, "I now pronounce you happily joined"

The crowd cheered and Jo pulled Blair into a passionate kiss.

The End?
