I felt this story deserved an average rating. Yes, it was well-written, but it was obviously a post-FIN "fix" and that was all. There wasn't any original thought or interesting aspect to the story; it brought our beloved Xena back to life--and I suspect a little dig at Akemi was in there as well. There was a certain objectivity that was lacking the story that required for it to take a life of its own that marks a really great piece of fiction. The story felt forced, rather than flowing (if that makes sense--it probably doesn't). Of course, this is *fanfiction* and these types of stories are what fanfiction is all about. So, good job! to the writer, but it really was no more than an average piece of fiction that appealed to the fans that really hated the fact that Xena and Gabby were separated. - invidere - Apr 9th, 2002
