Let it be know that the black Knight and the Lady was and is one of the greatest Sagas I have had the fortune of reading her on the net. I would so love for there to be yet a another chapter or a sequel to this Saga, I?m now only moments after reading the final words on the story, So I miss the characters as if the story tock place just beside me I miss their presence and their beautiful love for one another. Please let there be more of these stories. - Keegan Connor - Jan 15th, 2003 i am surprised that there are not many reviews for this piece of literature! this story will surely make your heart sore!! highly recommended! - lunar - Feb-11-2008 And they say chivalry is dead. Improbable Protector and its 2 sequels is simply a wonderful trilogy with great characters, romance, mystery & suspense written with much care & attention to development of plot & characters you will just love. Story moves around in places,& time with a realistic patience given to following characters progression into a warm, deep relationship. I have read many of JDragons stories and could not just pick one to recommend. But IP 1,2,& 3 is something I will read again & love it just as much as the first time. - O.Ger - Sep 16th, 2003 |

Reader Recommendations:
What a wonderful story. JMDragon has really blended angst/love/hurt into a highly realistic tale. I highly recommend this to all who believe that love sometimes needs to be fought for and worth the fight. - Chris L. - Dec 9th, 2002 Once again JMDragon has created truly memorable characters. I was hooked from the onset and can't wait to read how it all gets resolved. JM is truly a craftswoman when it comes to creating and maintaining angst. Her written words are pure joy to read. I always look forward to the new adventures she takes me on. - Kay - Dec 11th, 2002 This is not your 'average' JMDragon story! It is a tale of two meant to be together meeting in improbable circumstances and lots of angst odds, which is JM's normal, but it never quite reaches her excellent writing abilities. A nice beginning that didn't quite make it. Not one of her's that I'd read again. But, that's just my opinion. - Sam - Dec 29th, 2002 You can count me as one who really enjoyed Silence of Love! Don?t pay attention to all of the negative comments, go read it for yourself and I think you?ll agree with me! - Angel M - Dec 29th, 2002 I read it, then because of all the negative comments, I re-read it. I have read all her stories several times and have always enjoyed them. However, something wasn't working in the story. I didn't enjoy this one so much as the others. - Linda - Dec 30th, 2002 Every once in a while, a writer finds it within themselves to write something a bit different, like a rock musician must write a song of love after many, many hard-hitting and fast-paced hits?this is what MJ Dragon had done. This is not 'Define Destiny' or like many of her other works that presents strong characters and defined archetypes?in this tale, it is the unexpected characters you cannot truly define into an Uber mold that make it special and memorable. So no, this is NOT your usual Dragonjules tale?this is BETTER! This tale shows a seasoned writer that has broken her own mold and written a sweet timeless love story that stands out against all the others you?ve come to expect from this author. Read it and you decide ? but don?t expect to find all of the ingredients you have seen before?the flavoring in this is much more exotic and yet subtle. You?ll LOVE the taste!! - WebWarrior - Dec 30th, 2002 It was different, and it was subtle, and worth the read. JM's attempt is worth noting, unfortunately, you aren't satisfied with the effort. - Webster - Dec 30th, 2002 Despite the negative comments i have read, I found this to be a wonderful, touching, and all around well written tale. No! It is not "Destiny" [which I dearly love], but it stands on its own merits. No story or author will please all folks all the time. Read this one and deceide for yourself. It is well worth the effort. The "Dragon" has woven a tale well worth reading. - Belle A. Pellegrino - Dec 30th, 2002 After seeing all the comments on this story, I had to take a look. This is the first of Dragonjuls' stories that I've read, and so I can't compare it to her previous work, pro or con. On its own, Silence of Love is an entertaining uber romance which struck me as more Janice and Mel, than Xena and Gabrielle. I found the text in need of some editing to ease readability, (commas, and sentence breaks), and I didn't find the intro or character list necessary. Beyond this, Silence of Love follows the uber formula of 1)characters with a dark pasts, 2)meeting fortuitously, 3)developing mutual feelings of love in denial, and repressing their expression, 4)a rift, 5)a reapproachment after soulsearching, 6)a climactic catalyst leading to their declarations of love, and 7)the happy resolution. It's competently written, engaging, and has a satisfying conclusion. I found its most uncharacteristic features to be 1)it's somewhat longer than the most popular stories, 2)its male characters are protrayed more positively than is usual in uber. It seems fair to say that for JMDragon, in this story, loving women doesn't reflect its corollary, hating men. That alone makes it refreshing. I think Silence of Love is worth a read. Its not a simple story, emotionally; overall, not a comfortable, funny, heartwarming romance. I suspect that any sense of discontinuity the reader feels may be linked to the method of posting chapters rather than a finished work. Nevertheless, spend a little time reading Silence of Love, then go back to something less challenging if you don't like it. - Phantom Bard - Jan 1st, 2003 JM?s portrayal of the emotional growth that allows people to create intimacy in full view of their failings and vulnerabilities is superb. She has such a knack with her cannily drawn characters.... angst overflowing?..sexually charged... and emotionally wrenching?they are definitely human, but filled with empathy with a decided weave. As I haven?t read any of her writings this past year, I can definitely say this story shows a huge expansion and great development of her writing skills ? some of the best writing she's done and a whole new side to her considerable talent. This is one of the most satisfying, heart tugging chronicle I've read in quite a while, and I?d give it a solid gold five stars any day of the week. - B.S. Raven - Feb 19th, 2003 interesting, thoughtful, different, I liked it and thought is a good read, it is very much a new (and not unappealing) approach by a very talented author. - dt - Oct 25th, 2003 |

Lovely beginning to what promises to be, a very entertaining story. Strong characters are emerging, and I want to know much more about them. A fantasy and a mystery rolled into one. Waiting patiently for more. - Kay - Sep-19-2006 JM Dragon's stories are never the same old same old and this one is no different. I love the characters and can't wait to find out where that book takes them. I have a feeling that all is not as it seems to be. More please. - a reader in missouri - Sep-20-2006 Awesome! It was my good fortune to read the rough draft of this story and now as I read the edited version the word that comes to mind is WOW!! JM has managed to weave a fantasy/warrior tale into a wonderfully well written imaginative story with strong, well developed characters. This story is unbelievable - I promise you won't be disappointed. Thanks JM for sharing your talent. eo - Erin O'Rielly - Oct-19-2006 If you want to read something a little more challenging than a single story arc, try this. It might make the brain cells ache with some of the names-regardless you'll find it totally engrossing. A mix of ancient and modern with the odd twist this bard is noted for. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. - ConquerorX - Nov-05-2006 This story is absolutely great, loved it and couldn't stop reading. Thanks for sharing this! - Anonymous - Jan-20-2007 |
