I really liked this story. especially nightshade, she was that gentle tortured soul i always love to read about. Thankyou for a wonderful tale. - anonymous - Oct-20-2006 I don't read alot of uber stuff but this grabbed me and sucked me right in. Nice work J. - Mayhem Incarnate - Oct-29-2006 I just found this author (loved Eagles Reach) and wanted to read more of this wonderful bards stories. Dark Elf grabbed me and didn't let me go. Great, fast-paced, action adventure fantasy story. On to the sequel now. Highly recommended. - Anonymous - Dec-10-2010 It's good read, but the end is quite rushed. I would have liked it if the chemistry between the characters had been build up slowlier. The characters and the setting are really great, but as I said, it seems rushed... - Guilty Writer - Sep-03-2012 I love fantasy, mix it with uber and I'm dancing on a cloud. - Wheezie - Oct-28-2012 ***SPOILER ALERT*** I can't say enough about this story. I love the different physical/cultural dynamics and I am going to sound like a geek here but the evolution of a species is extremely interesting especially when there is some truth to it. For example: J. Falconer dark elf species have different types of eyes one in particular happened to be blue. According to Duke Health, light color eyes, like the color blue, are light sensitive and in some cases cause photophobia which is difficulty seeing in bright light or blindness in light. But I don't want to say to much so I'll leave you hanging as to why that is an important fact. I adore how this author wrote about the characters emotions developing not only romantically but morally. I don't think I'm doing this story justice just know that it was a great read and I look forward to reading the 2nd installment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - Katie of Ohio - Feb-28-2013 Good story. It would have been better if you acknowledged R.A. Salvatore for his 'drow' world. - soopi - Apr-28-2018 |
