This was an unexpected treat. A really unique Conqueror fic where it ain't Xena in the big golden chair, it's someone much, much worse! Our heroines have their work cut out for them thanks to this development. And wait till you see where Xena's been kicking her heels since she was last deposed! Pesky Amazon schemes, betrayals and disturbing prophecies all make for a fantastic highly entertaining story. And at a modest 16 chapters, it ain't short. This has always been my most fav XTC story. It's so well written so intelligent and true the the chars while twistng their situations outside the cannon. Watch out for the Ratcatcher!
