Reader Recommendations:

This was a very well written story that is quite moving in a quiet subtle way. It's penetrating without being in your face sentimental. It would've made a wonderful episode to following up on Xena's relationship with her son, more personal than the hard hitting episode 'Maternal Instincts' that re-introduces Solan to Xena a few years after 'Orphan of War'. That episode created the Rift. This story is much more satisfying, more intimate and very sensitively written. - kazy - Oct-20-2012

Teaser:  This tale has Gabrielle travelling to Corinth to enter a bard's contest. She quickly becomes involved with two people struggling to make their life in the hard world of the city. This is a wonderfully written story. Not to be missed!
