I really like this story, although it has violence in it, it's not too graphic.The two characters Anpo and Ketlin are really cute together.There are detailed descriptions but they are not annoying but really informative. - lectra - Jul 30th, 2004 This is a really well written story. Some novels I just want to read my favorite parts and then skim over the rest, but not this one. As each passage goes by and I feel the loss in that I'm nearer to the end of the characters' journeys. This novel is truly an excellent original fictional work, in the sense that the author created the characters herself and not rely on the reader's expectation of what the uber X & G would be like. Every character is a clean slate when they were first described so you would not know what to expect and how they would react given a situation. Masterfully written story that pulls you into the colorful and enriched world of the Lakota, and in it you'd find a beautiful love story that transends gender and culture. Highly recommended!
