I too have read this story 2 times. The second time took me longer, there was more to look at, look for. It is a riveting romantic drama, chock full of dirty politics in the race to win, and behind the scene's of running a campaign. Ms. O'Connor's loyalty and honor to country, the citizens of the State of Texas, and family only endear her to the voter's, until her past is brought to light unfavorably. This story proves that the means don't justify the end. It is a fast read in that you won't be able to put it down. It'll keep you glued to the page. And it screams: sequel. And KatsÆ dating ideas should be part of a manual; canÆt miss type of thing (not to mention yummy). Kat, Beth, and family are very real. Spew alert in a certain conversation between Kat and Beth, and then with both daughters. Hysterical, cute, adorable. I love these characters. From the beginning in THREE DAYS, the vision of Kat in black, long black leather coat, black Stetson and all those special songs, made me want LOVE HAS NO PRIDE instantly. So, to fully get the feel for the wonderful ending of this amazing ride of a series, you must read the journey that got them here. Gut wrenching.
