This is a classic story that comes from the very early days when Xena Fan fiction was producing some of the most outstanding stories, vignettes, pros and poems about the sexually romantic love between Xena and Gabrielle. This is a very tender and passionate narrative that reads like pros and is something you want to save for the depiction of the devotion and attraction that Xena has for Gabrielle. I know the story is intentionally written so the reader doesn't know, for sure, whose thought these are. I chose Xena. I think Gabrielle, early on, wasn't in touch with her feelings the way Xena was. UPDATE: I re read this story and apologize as it is quite clear it is Xena. So sorry. Must've been thinking of another story. But I do have to add after re reading it - that while I love this story and I love the eroticism and intense yearning depicted, I don't see Xena as quite this overly sentimental - Passionate and lusty?
