This can only be a small tribute to all the people from all over the world, mainly the United States, who lost their lives in the tragedy on September 11th, 2001, the bravery of the firefighters, police and rescue workers. They will always be remembered. |

Brilliantly written, with unexpected turns and twists, depicting a wonderful eternal love story. Loved the ending. Great first effort. - Linda Dec 31st, 2002
Excellent, well written love story! The descriptions were so vivid, and you could almost feel the whipping wind, and the eternal love between the main characters. I was trilled by the unexplained turn of events, and felt a deep tug in my heart with the ending. If this is your first effort, I can hardly wait for your next story. - Kay Dec 31st, 2002
A good concept with well written, believable characters up until the last part. I just couldn't see where the falling in love happened and how it was so strong as transcend barriers as we know them. Needs to be fleshed out more in that respect but it is still an enjoyable read. - Kay Dec 31st, 2002
This is a really nice story, I enjoyed the charachter study:) - Kiki Dec 31st, 2002
This is even better then 'A League of Their Own.' I loved it. I would love more on this wonderful couple and fascinating period. - Anonymous Dec 31st, 2002
Missy gives us The Conquer in her own style and it is a joy to read. - Daydreams Dec 31st, 2002
Outstanding plot, charactors, so much in this story it is unbelievable and so well put together. Classic Xena at its best. If you enjoy romance, Amazons, battles, Warlords, and one cute Baby to add to the fun this is the story for you. - Daydreams Dec 31st, 2002

One of the first Author stories I ever read when joining the Net was a Missy Good story. A wonderful writer Missy brings warmth, love, adventure, Evil and true love into all her stories. Whether it be Classic Xena and Gabrielle to her Uber adventures Missy shines. If you read one thing this New Years Eve read this ladys work. You will not be disappointed. - Daydreams Dec 31st, 2002 |
Despite the negative comments i have read, I found this to be a wonderful, touching, and all around well written tale. No! It is not "Destiny" [which I dearly love], but it stands on its own merits. No story or author will please all folks all the time. Read this one and deceide for yourself. It is well worth the effort. The "Dragon" has woven a tale well worth reading. - Belle A. Pellegrino Dec 30th, 2002
Hey, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed both of your stories.. 'A Simple Matter of Trust' and 'The Lesser Evil'. They were wonderful. I loved the way you developed your characters, and especially the tenderness between Xena and Gabrielle. I also want to let you know that your use of lyrics in Lesser Evil was fantastic. And on top of that, your poetry is excellent! You're an all around wonderful bard! I really hope to see more of you. Take care and don't sprain anything while typing out your next story. :o) - Lynne Dec 30th, 2002
I really liked this story about Xena and Gabrielle meeting as children in the daycare. The characterizations are dead on, and it's just sweet. I'll bookmark it for when I need a quick pick-me-up. - Anonymous Dec 30th, 2002
From the other comments, I expected to find this story witty, but I'm afraid I didn't. Much of the "humor" consists of characters yelling at each other in situations that seem contrived even by fan fiction standards. The secondary characters are too cutesy, the bad guys are one-dimensional, and there's not much effort at realistic dialogue. Guess my sense of humor is more of the Creme Brulee type. - Anonymous Dec 30th, 2002
I've been a fan of this bard for a long time. In my opinion, her writing is under-valued, underestimated and not widely enough read. That should change. The Blaze is a fine piece of writing, well crafted and tended to with all of ArdentTly's skill, and her special touch. Hurrah for ArdentTly! - Taleweaver Dec 30th, 2002
Intereting, and an enjoyable read. - Betty Dec 30th, 2002
Ali is one of my favorite authors! It was great to imagine there being a female Ramses (Pharaoh)... Can't wait to read more of her work! - Katia N. Ruiz Dec 30th, 2002
Every once in a while, a writer finds it within themselves to write something a bit different, like a rock musician must write a song of love after many, many hard-hitting and fast-paced hits…this is what MJ Dragon had done. This is not 'Define Destiny' or like many of her other works that presents strong characters and defined archetypes…in this tale, it is the unexpected characters you cannot truly define into an Uber mold that make it special and memorable. So no, this is NOT your usual Dragonjules tale…this is BETTER! This tale shows a seasoned writer that has broken her own mold and written a sweet timeless love story that stands out against all the others you’ve come to expect from this author. Read it and you decide – but don’t expect to find all of the ingredients you have seen before…the flavoring in this is much more exotic and yet subtle. You’ll LOVE the taste!! - WebWarrior Dec 30th, 2002
Beautiful, just beautiful. Great story. - Jim Dec 30th, 2002
Just read this story for the first time. Good characterization, an good story line. I liked it. - Linda Dec 30th, 2002
I don't usually read uber, but something intrigued me and I'm so glad I did! Very believable, and with the 'Xena/Gabrielle' characters drawn in a way that made them fresh, while still relying on the old behaviors we've all come to know and love. Exciting, tender, and all I can is: I want more! Thanks, C. Pardee, for a great read. - r.d.elliott Dec 29th, 2002
You can count me as one who really enjoyed Silence of Love! Don’t pay attention to all of the negative comments, go read it for yourself and I think you’ll agree with me! - Angel M Dec 29th, 2002
Anticipation is 90 percent of the story. Guess I anticipated too much in this one. Sorry. - L. Pierce Dec 29th, 2002
Love these characters and really enjoyed their union story. Probably the best of the three so far, but I love the tenderness. - Linda Dec 29th, 2002
This is not your 'average' JMDragon story! It is a tale of two meant to be together meeting in improbable circumstances and lots of angst odds, which is JM's normal, but it never quite reaches her excellent writing abilities. A nice beginning that didn't quite make it. Not one of her's that I'd read again. But, that's just my opinion. - Sam Dec 29th, 2002
Love the characters, loved this story. Could have been a little longer, but great update on the Destiny series. - Kimberly Dec 29th, 2002
The author warns us that this is a multi-hanky story but sorry, I didn't shed a single tear. The ending seems rushed and written more to get the story finished than to actually 'complete' the story. - Anonymous Dec 29th, 2002
I was ready to kill the author for this heart wrenching story, but she saved herself. Thank you! That was wonderful - Piper Dec 28th, 2002

aarrrggghhhh!!!! I really want to finish this story! It was getting really interesting! Where can I fing the rest of it? Please help ! - jbamazon Dec 27th, 2002
I recently discovered Larisa's work and then read "Chase the Storm". I gotta tell you if you haven't already checked out Larisa's stories, run....don't walk. Almost each and every story will make you laugh and hate to see the story end. Larisa writes in such a way that you feel that you are watching the story take place on the screen. Great work... thanks Larisa! - JO Dec 27th, 2002
Xena is reunited with an old friend from the past, a stranger to Gabrielle, whose close ties to Xena provide a wonderful catalyst for the bard to examine her relationship with the warrior princess. The reunion leads them on a dangerous and revealing path into Xena's past. We also meet a shadowy new dark goddess whose influence has a far reaching effect on the lives of both Xena and Gabrielle. The story itself moves between humor, angst, action, betrayal, loyalty, and, above all else, friendship and love. (4 Stars) - Reviewed Dec 23, 2002
A sequel to 'A Simple Matter of Trust' picks up the story nearly a year later and finds both Xena and Gabrielle struggling with Gabrielle's chosen path of non-violence, with serious consequences as a result. A mysterious new presence in their lives, as well as shadowy dark forces from the past, edge Xena and Gabrielle into a desperate struggle to maintain and protect all that they hold dear, including each other. Past and present intertwine, shedding new light on a number of haunting and troubling mysteries, and placing them directly beneath the shadow of the cross in their future. This story, as did it's predecessor, moves between humor, action, drama, despair and foremost, it is a journey of love, loyalty and true friendship. (4 Stars) - Reviewed Dec 23, 2002

After discovering what is causing a problem, a writer has to find the courage to make changes for, the truth "may set one free," but in this case, it didn't, and this Dragon continued on for writing not up to her normal, and falls short in many ways. But, when someone downs a writer's works, the normal thing is to read it for yourself to find out why the bad review. So, in placing a poor review of this story will only make everyone read it more. But, in my opinion, this is the poorest story she has ever written. This certainly is not a 5 star story as the scrolls has rated it. - nyoclli Dec 26th, 2002
It sounds pretty boring from what it tells us little about the story, especially a cripple of "you know who" BUT MY GOSH! It's totally HILARIOUS!!! A very good story to read, even though the start of the story isn't very attractive. Recommended!! - Chen Dec 26th, 2002
|
Wow! This story is wonderful!!!! The characters Terri, a teenage and Sarah, a more old sophisticated and sexy woman, have a relationship tumultuous, hot, passionate, to writer with rare talent and preciosity. Leth - Leth Dec 26th, 2002 |
This is the 2nd story I've read by this talented bard and it's a great story with just the right mix of drama, angst and love. I love a story with well written secondary characters and this author has done that and more with "Noemi." Well written and well done. - Kay Dec 26th, 2002
JM usually has the strongest characters in her stories and IT USUSALLY WORKS!However, this one didn't. - Milen Dec 26th, 2002
Great writing. Excellent story that kept my interest from begining to end, and I didn't want to put it down. - Betty Dec 26th, 2002
I did not find this was written in JMDragon's usual good form. It lacked punch, and her usual zip was missing. It was almost as if she was attempting to elevate her characters into real life ones, and left out any real essence in the story. I was dissappointed. - Paula Dec 26th, 2002
Excellent second portion. Love the unity found here. Am a new reader, so this is really great. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. - Kitty Dec 26th, 2002
This time JM just didn't hit the mark. Her usual excellent writing fell short on this one, and contrary to other comments, this is the worst story I have read of this fine writer. It simply doesn't have her previous quality. - Linda Dec 26th, 2002
This series is the best Dragonjules has written. Excellent job. - Anonymous Dec 26th, 2002
I've just gotten through and it's impossible to say one word. It's first, but it's good. Well, maybe it could be more erotically depictive. I wonder how talented the author is in that domene. Generally - it depends on how well you read it. Definitely one-time story, for me. Don't know what else... - adrienne Dec 26th, 2002
On the recommendation of a friend I read "Sweet Surrender". I can tell this is one bard with major talent (in fact if time permits today I'm dying to read more of her works) but, for me anyway, it has one glaring faux pas. This very promising story falls victim to the "Invincible Dyke Syndrome", you know the woman who can have amazingly, fantastic, sex while: sick, injured, hurt but still on the living side of death's door or still recuperating from the aforementioned senarios. I also pegged the wrong character as the "surrenderer"...but I wouldn't mind having that libido for a day. - Kay Dec 25th, 2002
LOVED IT! LOVED IT!..Larisa has done it again ! I thought Day Walker made me laugh, boy was I wrong! Another great story from my favorite bard,if you haven't checked out her stories yet...shame on you! they're great!..Can't wait for more new stories.(hint,hint). :) - jbamazon Dec 24th, 2002

I loved this! It was just what I needed for this time of year. Happy Holidays!!!! - Dorothy Dec 24th, 2002
I'm looking forward to the continuation of another well written romantic fiction from this collaboration of Kim and Alexa. It's as though they've stepped back from college in setting this new story. Their last work, "Lessons", was set in college. It was a powerfully emotional tale, as are Kim's solo pieces, notably, "First", and "Again", both involving older characters having dialogues with their memories. Judging from the first 2 chapters, and their past writing, "Outcome" will be a very good read. - Phantom Bard Dec 24th, 2002
Certainly one of the most unusual pieces I've read in a while. Chelle's story, "Alternative To Uber", works on several levels. It's an entertaining fantasy, an experiment in netfiction presentation, and a satirical commentary on the alt/uber genre. Enjoy it as you will. It's Mary Sue dragged down the rabbit-hole to find an increasingly bizarre world that somehow feels more and more comfortable. I really can't recall anything like it. - Phantom Bard Dec 24th, 2002

A great series. The adventures and characters of Dani and Jesse are fabulous. Rock on Alex. Can't wait to read your next offering. - Anonymous Dec 24th, 2002 |

I haven't finsihed reading this story yet but it is quit extraordinary. Pam Wilson moves through time and space and between reality and illusion with remarkable skill. It is best to read A Simple Matter Of Trust first since it continues Xena and Gabrielle's adventures with their friend Xan and the dark goddess Hecate. - Cheryl Ande Dec 23rd, 2002
This is one terrific story. Pam Wilson writes well and has an interesting way of telling a story and has the ability to create original characters that fit well into a classic Xena story. - Cheryl Ande Dec 23rd, 2002
I loved this romantic tale of love found and dreams realized. I really enjoyed the little tour of Hollywood and the end was wonderul. Its a great read! - Harri Dec 23rd, 2002

I read this story in one sitting. The characters just hooked me so that even tired I didn't put it down until I finished. For some reason I get the impression that some of the author is in the Ginny character and that may be why she was so real and natural to me. I think many of us have had to come to ourselves slowly and with a bit of subconscious prodding and Ms Hill really did capture that dilemma in Ginny. Then of course Kara too has a very real and natural emotional response to the situation and the entire story just flows and is compelling. I was especially pleased with the way the art was so beautifully described. I too can see the color in Ginny’s Lake. - jen Dec 20th, 2002

Different, very different! Aside from the text version being one extremely huge file, I finally completed it...and I have never felt so strange after reading a story. I wanted to scrub some rather unsettling images from my mind but keep the ones I liked. My dog said the feeling will pass. I believe him, he's never been wrong yet. ;) - Kay Dec 19th, 2002 [Fan Fiction Editor's note: The Athenaeum has been posting Chelle's story in more manageable parts. Like many readers we don't like large file sizes either!] |
I loved this story!!!!! Larisa is one of the best uber writers out there in my opinion. I can't wait for more about Luka and Memphis(and Sprout too!) Please give us more Day Walker! - Jbamazon Dec 18th, 2002
This soooo cute and I really needed it after a really bad week. Thank you:) - Ri Dec 18th, 2002
I absolutely do not read Vampire stories. This story though is so wonderful that I loved every word. The charachters are sweet and funny and I loved every moment of it. I almost forgot that I was reading a vampire story I was having so much fun. Great Job Kiddo!!!!! - Ri Dec 18th, 2002
I stayed up reeeeal late one night reading this, and it was sooo worth it! This is a fabulous story! I don't know which I found more enchanting... Sprout or Mama. Larisa has outdone herself with this one. I loved it! Thanks for the laughs. - Taleweaver Dec 16th, 2002
I've read this story many times. I've always been a fan of both Bewitched and X:WP, and I thoroughly enjoy this tale every time I read it. What happens when a little witch makes a wish? I wonder if my wishes could come true like that? - Taleweaver Dec 16th, 2002

I can't say enough about this story. It was excelent. I found it hard to put down.It was a very good read. I'm going to read another story by the same bard.If I had to rate this story on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 10 plus.Loved it, Loved it, loved it !!!! - Lilly Dec 11th, 2002 |

The author has a wonderful grasp on the basics of forensic science, psychology, as well as plot development and most importantly matters of the heart. These stories are a wonderful mix of mystery, suspense, and romance. I loved it and hope that other's will check it out. - Kel Dec 6th, 2002 |

Since Larisa hasn't written in a while, she has definately came out with something worth the wait. A DAMNED good story if I say so myself. One that I actually have read twice. The characters are so funny and every bit as perverted as the ones in her other stories. Good reading and recommend it to anyone who needs a good laugh. Good job Larisa and keep up the good work!! ^_^ - Anonymous Dec 4th, 2002
