This can only be a small tribute to all the people from all over the world, mainly the United States, who lost their lives in the tragedy on September 11th, 2001, the bravery of the firefighters, police and rescue workers. They will always be remembered. |

Brilliantly written, with unexpected turns and twists, depicting a wonderful eternal love story. Loved the ending. Great first effort. - Linda Dec 31st, 2002 |
Excellent, well written love story! The descriptions were so vivid, and you could almost feel the whipping wind, and the eternal love between the main characters. I was trilled by the unexplained turn of events, and felt a deep tug in my heart with the ending. If this is your first effort, I can hardly wait for your next story. - Kay Dec 31st, 2002 |
A good concept with well written, believable characters up until the last part. I just couldn't see where the falling in love happened and how it was so strong as transcend barriers as we know them. Needs to be fleshed out more in that respect but it is still an enjoyable read. - Kay Dec 31st, 2002 |
This is a really nice story, I enjoyed the charachter study:) - Kiki Dec 31st, 2002 |
This is even better then 'A League of Their Own.' I loved it. I would love more on this wonderful couple and fascinating period. - Anonymous Dec 31st, 2002 |
Missy gives us The Conquer in her own style and it is a joy to read. - Daydreams Dec 31st, 2002 |
Outstanding plot, charactors, so much in this story it is unbelievable and so well put together. Classic Xena at its best. If you enjoy romance, Amazons, battles, Warlords, and one cute Baby to add to the fun this is the story for you. - Daydreams Dec 31st, 2002 |
One of the first Author stories I ever read when joining the Net was a Missy Good story. A wonderful writer Missy brings warmth, love, adventure, Evil and true love into all her stories. Whether it be Classic Xena and Gabrielle to her Uber adventures Missy shines. If you read one thing this New Years Eve read this ladys work. You will not be disappointed. - Daydreams Dec 31st, 2002 |
Despite the negative comments i have read, I found this to be a wonderful, touching, and all around well written tale. No! It is not "Destiny" [which I dearly love], but it stands on its own merits. No story or author will please all folks all the time. Read this one and deceide for yourself. It is well worth the effort. The "Dragon" has woven a tale well worth reading. - Belle A. Pellegrino Dec 30th, 2002 |
Hey, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed both of your stories.. 'A Simple Matter of Trust' and 'The Lesser Evil'. They were wonderful. I loved the way you developed your characters, and especially the tenderness between Xena and Gabrielle. I also want to let you know that your use of lyrics in Lesser Evil was fantastic. And on top of that, your poetry is excellent! You're an all around wonderful bard! I really hope to see more of you. Take care and don't sprain anything while typing out your next story. :o) - Lynne Dec 30th, 2002 |
I really liked this story about Xena and Gabrielle meeting as children in the daycare. The characterizations are dead on, and it's just sweet. I'll bookmark it for when I need a quick pick-me-up. - Anonymous Dec 30th, 2002 |
From the other comments, I expected to find this story witty, but I'm afraid I didn't. Much of the "humor" consists of characters yelling at each other in situations that seem contrived even by fan fiction standards. The secondary characters are too cutesy, the bad guys are one-dimensional, and there's not much effort at realistic dialogue. Guess my sense of humor is more of the Creme Brulee type. - Anonymous Dec 30th, 2002 |
I've been a fan of this bard for a long time. In my opinion, her writing is under-valued, underestimated and not widely enough read. That should change. The Blaze is a fine piece of writing, well crafted and tended to with all of ArdentTly's skill, and her special touch. Hurrah for ArdentTly! - Taleweaver Dec 30th, 2002 |
Intereting, and an enjoyable read. - Betty Dec 30th, 2002 |
Ali is one of my favorite authors! It was great to imagine there being a female Ramses (Pharaoh)... Can't wait to read more of her work! - Katia N. Ruiz Dec 30th, 2002 |
Every once in a while, a writer finds it within themselves to write something a bit different, like a rock musician must write a song of love after many, many hard-hitting and fast-paced hits…this is what MJ Dragon had done. This is not 'Define Destiny' or like many of her other works that presents strong characters and defined archetypes…in this tale, it is the unexpected characters you cannot truly define into an Uber mold that make it special and memorable. So no, this is NOT your usual Dragonjules tale…this is BETTER! This tale shows a seasoned writer that has broken her own mold and written a sweet timeless love story that stands out against all the others you’ve come to expect from this author. Read it and you decide – but don’t expect to find all of the ingredients you have seen before…the flavoring in this is much more exotic and yet subtle. You’ll LOVE the taste!! - WebWarrior Dec 30th, 2002 |
Beautiful, just beautiful. Great story. - Jim Dec 30th, 2002 |
Just read this story for the first time. Good characterization, an good story line. I liked it. - Linda Dec 30th, 2002 |
I don't usually read uber, but something intrigued me and I'm so glad I did! Very believable, and with the 'Xena/Gabrielle' characters drawn in a way that made them fresh, while still relying on the old behaviors we've all come to know and love. Exciting, tender, and all I can is: I want more! Thanks, C. Pardee, for a great read. - r.d.elliott Dec 29th, 2002 |
You can count me as one who really enjoyed Silence of Love! Don’t pay attention to all of the negative comments, go read it for yourself and I think you’ll agree with me! - Angel M Dec 29th, 2002 |
Anticipation is 90 percent of the story. Guess I anticipated too much in this one. Sorry. - L. Pierce Dec 29th, 2002 |
Love these characters and really enjoyed their union story. Probably the best of the three so far, but I love the tenderness. - Linda Dec 29th, 2002 |
This is not your 'average' JMDragon story! It is a tale of two meant to be together meeting in improbable circumstances and lots of angst odds, which is JM's normal, but it never quite reaches her excellent writing abilities. A nice beginning that didn't quite make it. Not one of her's that I'd read again. But, that's just my opinion. - Sam Dec 29th, 2002 |
Love the characters, loved this story. Could have been a little longer, but great update on the Destiny series. - Kimberly Dec 29th, 2002 |
The author warns us that this is a multi-hanky story but sorry, I didn't shed a single tear. The ending seems rushed and written more to get the story finished than to actually 'complete' the story. - Anonymous Dec 29th, 2002 |
I was ready to kill the author for this heart wrenching story, but she saved herself. Thank you! That was wonderful - Piper Dec 28th, 2002 |

aarrrggghhhh!!!! I really want to finish this story! It was getting really interesting! Where can I fing the rest of it? Please help ! - jbamazon Dec 27th, 2002 |
I recently discovered Larisa's work and then read "Chase the Storm". I gotta tell you if you haven't already checked out Larisa's stories, run....don't walk. Almost each and every story will make you laugh and hate to see the story end. Larisa writes in such a way that you feel that you are watching the story take place on the screen. Great work... thanks Larisa! - JO Dec 27th, 2002 |
Xena is reunited with an old friend from the past, a stranger to Gabrielle, whose close ties to Xena provide a wonderful catalyst for the bard to examine her relationship with the warrior princess. The reunion leads them on a dangerous and revealing path into Xena's past. We also meet a shadowy new dark goddess whose influence has a far reaching effect on the lives of both Xena and Gabrielle. The story itself moves between humor, angst, action, betrayal, loyalty, and, above all else, friendship and love. (4 Stars) - Reviewed Dec 23, 2002 |
A sequel to 'A Simple Matter of Trust' picks up the story nearly a year later and finds both Xena and Gabrielle struggling with Gabrielle's chosen path of non-violence, with serious consequences as a result. A mysterious new presence in their lives, as well as shadowy dark forces from the past, edge Xena and Gabrielle into a desperate struggle to maintain and protect all that they hold dear, including each other. Past and present intertwine, shedding new light on a number of haunting and troubling mysteries, and placing them directly beneath the shadow of the cross in their future. This story, as did it's predecessor, moves between humor, action, drama, despair and foremost, it is a journey of love, loyalty and true friendship. (4 Stars) - Reviewed Dec 23, 2002 |

After discovering what is causing a problem, a writer has to find the courage to make changes for, the truth "may set one free," but in this case, it didn't, and this Dragon continued on for writing not up to her normal, and falls short in many ways. But, when someone downs a writer's works, the normal thing is to read it for yourself to find out why the bad review. So, in placing a poor review of this story will only make everyone read it more. But, in my opinion, this is the poorest story she has ever written. This certainly is not a 5 star story as the scrolls has rated it. - nyoclli Dec 26th, 2002 |
It sounds pretty boring from what it tells us little about the story, especially a cripple of "you know who" BUT MY GOSH! It's totally HILARIOUS!!! A very good story to read, even though the start of the story isn't very attractive. Recommended!! - Chen Dec 26th, 2002 |
Wow! This story is wonderful!!!! The characters Terri, a teenage and Sarah, a more old sophisticated and sexy woman, have a relationship tumultuous, hot, passionate, to writer with rare talent and preciosity. Leth - Leth Dec 26th, 2002 |
This is the 2nd story I've read by this talented bard and it's a great story with just the right mix of drama, angst and love. I love a story with well written secondary characters and this author has done that and more with "Noemi." Well written and well done. - Kay Dec 26th, 2002 |
JM usually has the strongest characters in her stories and IT USUSALLY WORKS!However, this one didn't. - Milen Dec 26th, 2002 |
Great writing. Excellent story that kept my interest from begining to end, and I didn't want to put it down. - Betty Dec 26th, 2002 |
I did not find this was written in JMDragon's usual good form. It lacked punch, and her usual zip was missing. It was almost as if she was attempting to elevate her characters into real life ones, and left out any real essence in the story. I was dissappointed. - Paula Dec 26th, 2002 |
Excellent second portion. Love the unity found here. Am a new reader, so this is really great. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. - Kitty Dec 26th, 2002 |
This time JM just didn't hit the mark. Her usual excellent writing fell short on this one, and contrary to other comments, this is the worst story I have read of this fine writer. It simply doesn't have her previous quality. - Linda Dec 26th, 2002 |
This series is the best Dragonjules has written. Excellent job. - Anonymous Dec 26th, 2002 |
I've just gotten through and it's impossible to say one word. It's first, but it's good. Well, maybe it could be more erotically depictive. I wonder how talented the author is in that domene. Generally - it depends on how well you read it. Definitely one-time story, for me. Don't know what else... - adrienne Dec 26th, 2002 |
On the recommendation of a friend I read "Sweet Surrender". I can tell this is one bard with major talent (in fact if time permits today I'm dying to read more of her works) but, for me anyway, it has one glaring faux pas. This very promising story falls victim to the "Invincible Dyke Syndrome", you know the woman who can have amazingly, fantastic, sex while: sick, injured, hurt but still on the living side of death's door or still recuperating from the aforementioned senarios. I also pegged the wrong character as the "surrenderer"...but I wouldn't mind having that libido for a day. - Kay Dec 25th, 2002 |
LOVED IT! LOVED IT!..Larisa has done it again ! I thought Day Walker made me laugh, boy was I wrong! Another great story from my favorite bard,if you haven't checked out her stories yet...shame on you! they're great!..Can't wait for more new stories.(hint,hint). :) - jbamazon Dec 24th, 2002 |

I loved this! It was just what I needed for this time of year. Happy Holidays!!!! - Dorothy Dec 24th, 2002 |
I'm looking forward to the continuation of another well written romantic fiction from this collaboration of Kim and Alexa. It's as though they've stepped back from college in setting this new story. Their last work, "Lessons", was set in college. It was a powerfully emotional tale, as are Kim's solo pieces, notably, "First", and "Again", both involving older characters having dialogues with their memories. Judging from the first 2 chapters, and their past writing, "Outcome" will be a very good read. - Phantom Bard Dec 24th, 2002 |
Certainly one of the most unusual pieces I've read in a while. Chelle's story, "Alternative To Uber", works on several levels. It's an entertaining fantasy, an experiment in netfiction presentation, and a satirical commentary on the alt/uber genre. Enjoy it as you will. It's Mary Sue dragged down the rabbit-hole to find an increasingly bizarre world that somehow feels more and more comfortable. I really can't recall anything like it. - Phantom Bard Dec 24th, 2002 |
A great series. The adventures and characters of Dani and Jesse are fabulous. Rock on Alex. Can't wait to read your next offering. - Anonymous Dec 24th, 2002 |

Happily, every now an them I come across a gem. This was a great story that I must have over looked. Fantastic job. - Sarah Dec 23rd, 2002 |
I haven't finsihed reading this story yet but it is quit extraordinary. Pam Wilson moves through time and space and between reality and illusion with remarkable skill. It is best to read A Simple Matter Of Trust first since it continues Xena and Gabrielle's adventures with their friend Xan and the dark goddess Hecate. - Cheryl Ande Dec 23rd, 2002 |
This is one terrific story. Pam Wilson writes well and has an interesting way of telling a story and has the ability to create original characters that fit well into a classic Xena story. - Cheryl Ande Dec 23rd, 2002 |
I loved this romantic tale of love found and dreams realized. I really enjoyed the little tour of Hollywood and the end was wonderul. Its a great read! - Harri Dec 23rd, 2002 |

I read this story in one sitting. The characters just hooked me so that even tired I didn't put it down until I finished. For some reason I get the impression that some of the author is in the Ginny character and that may be why she was so real and natural to me. I think many of us have had to come to ourselves slowly and with a bit of subconscious prodding and Ms Hill really did capture that dilemma in Ginny. Then of course Kara too has a very real and natural emotional response to the situation and the entire story just flows and is compelling. I was especially pleased with the way the art was so beautifully described. I too can see the color in Ginny’s Lake. - jen Dec 20th, 2002 |

Princess Alexa, whose father is ailing, will soon need to sit on the throne. To prepare for that day, her parents have chosen a woman whom they deem is fit to sit by Alexas' side. What a beautiful story that reminds us just what the true meaning of Christmas is really about. A must read for the holidays. Highly recommend! - Chris L. Dec 20th, 2002 |
Different, very different! Aside from the text version being one extremely huge file, I finally completed it...and I have never felt so strange after reading a story. I wanted to scrub some rather unsettling images from my mind but keep the ones I liked. My dog said the feeling will pass. I believe him, he's never been wrong yet. ;) - Kay Dec 19th, 2002 [Fan Fiction Editor's note: The Athenaeum has been posting Chelle's story in more manageable parts. I loved this story!!!!! Larisa is one of the best uber writers out there in my opinion. I can't wait for more about Luka and Memphis(and Sprout too!) Please give us more Day Walker! - Jbamazon Dec 18th, 2002 |

I absolutely do not read Vampire stories. This story though is so wonderful that I loved every word. The charachters are sweet and funny and I loved every moment of it. I almost forgot that I was reading a vampire story I was having so much fun. Great Job Kiddo!!!!! - Ri Dec 18th, 2002 |
I stayed up reeeeal late one night reading this, and it was sooo worth it! This is a fabulous story! I don't know which I found more enchanting... Sprout or Mama. Larisa has outdone herself with this one. I loved it! Thanks for the laughs. - Taleweaver Dec 16th, 2002 |
I've read this story many times. I've always been a fan of both Bewitched and X:WP, and I thoroughly enjoy this tale every time I read it. What happens when a little witch makes a wish? I wonder if my wishes could come true like that? - Taleweaver Dec 16th, 2002 |

I can't say enough about this story. It was excelent. I found it hard to put down.It was a very good read. I'm going to read another story by the same bard.If I had to rate this story on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 10 plus.Loved it, Loved it, loved it !!!! - Lilly Dec 11th, 2002 |

Since Larisa hasn't written in a while, she has definately came out with something worth the wait. A DAMNED good story if I say so myself. One that I actually have read twice. Good job Larisa and keep up the good work!! ^_^ - Anonymous Dec 4th, 2002 |
Frizzle's Questions is a gem! It's refreshing to see a bard try something new! If you have small children, you MUST read this tale to them. It's sweet, it's a perfect bedtime story and it's high time we give our kids something new. - M.Moughbert Dec 3rd, 2002 |
Before I actually let you all know how wonderfully written this Mel and Janice story is, I would like to point out that this bard is actually KG MacGregor not KC MacGregor. This is the same KG MacGregor that gave us the fantastic Alternative Uber stories Shaken the sequal Stirred and part 3 Strained. These are some of the best written fan fiction stories on the internet bar none. I would recommend this bard for whatever story she wishes to grace our Universe with, but I hope the little name typo can get fixed so that people will know that Ms. MacGregor has other great stories for everyone to sink their teeth into. I would read the phone book if KG MacGregor was the author of it. I give this Bard and all of her incredibly well written stories a 10 star rating! - Maria Dec 3rd, 2002 [Fan Fiction Editor's note: We Apologize to KG and our visitors for the mistake with KG's name...it's been corrected.] |
Really loved this new Mel and Janice story - ALOT! KG nailed the characterizations, and there was a terrific slant to this story which I don't recall being brought up in other M/J FF. And who can fault a story with Amazons in it? KG showing her stuff quite well outside of the Uber world, and I welcome the momentary change. Great job! - Anonymous Dec 3rd, 2002 |

this story is an emotional rollercoaster. having lost a parent, i know what kinds of grief you go through to want to really live again. bauden captures levels that are so real, they brought tears to my eyes on a few occastions. to have lost so much, it takes a lot to love again. this story definitely touched a chord deeply inside of me. it goes through many twists and turns at the climax of ths story and will leave you satisfied in the end. highly recommended!!! - huge fan fic fan Dec 2nd, 2002 |
This is an amazing Mel and Janice story, filled with intrigue, espionage and blossoming love. All this and in a very original setting too! Normally I don't care for Mel and Janice stories, they have to be exceptional to keep my interest past the first two pages. But Archaeobard caught me and I'm very firmly hooked on this story. It is more than a must read. It is both entertaining and well crafted. If you read nothing else this week, read The Humanity. - Taleweaver Dec 2nd, 2002 |
What a fascinating story. Anne Azel did a wonderful job with writing about a very sensitive problem. the pain, love, and struggles are written in such a raw way that you will 'feel' them and wish you could reach out and help them. A definite heart gripper well worth the read!!! - avid reader Dec 2nd, 2002 |
Nice start...but then it just ended. Is there more or is this it? - 2Track Dec 1st, 2002 |
Full of wit as well as angst, with a particularly superb portrayal of “Psycho Barbie” as uninvited therapist chillingly adept at plumbing the darkest recesses of her subject’s soul. - IseQween Dec 1st, 2002 |
When is the second part going to be added? - Anonymous Dec 1st, 2002 |
What a wonderful story! It's a well written story full of joy and passion along with some heartache and angst set in the American West just after the Cival War. I'd recommend you keep a box of tissues handy for some parts. - Gabsfan Nov 30th, 2002 |
A mature, quietly satisfying exploration of two people sharing the best of themselves in small but infinitely precious ways. - IseQween Nov 29th, 2002 |
A wonderfully short, sweet X&G story that exquisitely blends the awkward innocence of a “first time” romance with the confident touches of mature love. - IseQween Nov 29th, 2002 |
One of the first stories I read back in 1997, this little gem captures the essence of our heroes with grace, poignance and sensitivity that withstand the tests of time and what "really" happened on TV. - IseQween Nov 29th, 2002 |
This a fitting sequel to A Thousand Shades of Feeling. Morrigan is kidnapped and Merlin must get her back, but she's out of her element here. Lots of suspense! - GenBRD Nov 29th, 2002 |
I really luvved this story. I'd like to see more of this bard's writing. You should read it! - Chey Hummel Nov 29th, 2002 |
Oh my! What a story. It's been a while since I was so drawn into a story. I'd recomend this to anyone and everyone. - J_Dierdre Nov 28th, 2002 |
There is intrigue here, and devotion, and dedication. This story is full of friendship, and trust with just a twist of darkness. I think this is a fine story, and I certainly hope we see more of this writer in the near future. Well done Taleweaver! - Allerd Yates Nov 28th, 2002 |
I disagree with lisa's comment - the story is very well written and has a unique take on the relationship. It is not how i view xe and gab, but it is a good and thought provoking short story. - GraceH Nov 28th, 2002 |
I loved this story! The story had me going from happy to sad to wishing there had a been a spew alert warning, and it never skipped a beat. This one is a classic and I hope to see more from Tigress. - im4xena Nov 28th, 2002 |
This is a great little story. It will make you smile, and maybe even think a little bit. Xena and Gabby are still helping out in the 20th century. - Anonymous Nov 28th, 2002 |
great story - Anonymous Nov 27th, 2002 |
More! Now THIS is talent! - Morag Nov 25th, 2002 |
I love this story!!! I'm dying to read more. Please say part 4 will be out soon! Thank you for keeping me and other readers captivated by the depth of your writing. Keep it up :) - Althea Nov 24th, 2002 |
I usually don't read fan fiction stories set in modern times but this story was fantastic, I couldn't stop reading it. I hope the authors write more stories. This story was captivating. - Sarah Nov 24th, 2002 |
Good story. I hope there are more chapters. Is it going to be continued? - Sarah Nov 24th, 2002 |
Excellent, wonderful loved this story the first time I read it and every time since. Great story and romance keeps you reading until the end and leave you wanting more. Highly recommended read NOW. - Daydreams Nov 23rd, 2002 |

First read this story a few days ago. It is very well written with a great story. Wonderful charactors and interesting aliens. Well worth taking a look at and spending time reading. - Daydreams Nov 23rd, 2002 |
This is a touching story of two woman with two completely different life styles that meet and learn that love transends even the most difficult of situations. - JM Dragon's Comment |
I have read this particular story about 12 times, and it never ceases to hold my interest. This is probably my very favorite fan fic of all time, and I hope everyone out there reads it and enjoys as much as I have! - Anonymous Nov 19th, 2002 |
Oh I really loved this story. I thought it was wonderful how the whole thing was independent but still part of the whole general story line for the series. Well done!! - Annie Nov 19th, 2002 |
WOW! This is a great piece of just what Aliki goes through emotionally with the jobs that she has taken. (forensics & police work) When she describes what 'a plane is down' means to her, you 'feel all that she does'. This story is so well written you feel like you know everyone and want to comfort them all. The reactions from the kids and supporting characters is right on. It is a fast paced ride down the rode of emotional breakdown and the struggle/pain that it wraps around each person, and the fight to return. After reading this, my respect for all involved in fire and law enforcement has increased ten fold! A MUST READ!! - Chris L. Nov 19th, 2002 |
I love two things about this author's writing style. First, her updates are posted within a reasonable time span. Second, her characters are believable which is a big plus in my book and third, she's talented as hell. Okay, that was three reasons but the last needed to be said. Great story!! - Kay Nov 17th, 2002 |
What a nailbiter!! This story is even better than the first! (Three Days) The beginning put me on edge and was heartbreaking, but the ending was the perfect balm. I had tears by the time I was done reading this. I've read all of S. Lee's work and I think this is the best yet. - JL Nov 17th, 2002 |
I don't often take the time to post comments, but this was a wonderful story and the author should be encouraged to continue sharing her talents. "Until Soon" is a great story, one of very few that I've finished and immediately anticipated reading again. - TM Nov 17th, 2002 |
A page turner, can't wait to see how it develops Katia Ruiz is a fantastic writer. Although she's just started to get her stuff posted, she captures the reader with interesting and complex characters. Look forward to more work from this bard. - Anonymous Nov 17th, 2002 |
OMG! I just got so choked up over this one! It affected me on a maternal level, as well as a reader. This is a great story! I would have liked to have seen an episode like this. Tell everyone you know to read this one, you won't be disappointed! - Taleweaver Nov 16th, 2002 |
I loved this. The comment about Argo at the end almost made me cry. Excellent story. - Mog Nov 16th, 2002 |
I always knew that Gabby's legendary appetite would get her into more trouble than we saw. This is a scream, you MUST read it! - Morag Nov 15th, 2002 |
How often have you wished you knew what was going through Xena's head? Zuke gives us a peek into what the warrior princess might be thinking, and it's every bit as good as any of Zuke's other work! Short, intriguing and very interesting. If I'm going to take a journey into "what-if" land, I want Zuke to be my guide! - Morag Nov 15th, 2002 |
Frizzle is too cute to ignore. Frizzle's Questions is just what my daughter does on her most talkative days. It's a story with an "awwwwwwwwww!" factor. Cute, kid-friendly and very entertaining! - Morag Nov 15th, 2002 |
This was a story that made you laugh and cry! It's an excellent story about finding innocence in the one you love. - Jenni Nov 15th, 2002 |
This was an excellent story. I couldn't stop. Awesome! - Jen Nov 15th, 2002 |

A wannabe storyteller interested
in Gabrielle and Xena meets someone who teaches him that the line dividing
dream from reality can be as tough as it is thin. (Xippy Award)

Fills the gap in the episode “WHO’S GURKHAN?” between the time Xena collapses after her stint in the dungeon and when she says at the palace pool that Gabrielle can have her vengeance. |
|
Captures that pivotal moment in “HEART OF DARKNESS” when Xena sensuously entices Gabrielle and Lucifer to experience the sinful pleasures of hell. |

|
Gabrielle returns to Japa, where both she and Xena face uncertain consequences of the love and honor that melded their legendary partnership in defense of the greater good. The third in a post-series arc, it follows “The Ghost of A Smile” and “A Fly in The Ointment.” |
|
This journey begins innocently enough with Xena and Gabrielle trying to relax and solve a mystery, but ends up leading them to discover more than they wanted to know about the meaning of justice, sacrifice and friendship. |
|
A brief encounter between two young people that may have helped shaped the destinies of a warrior and bard whose partnership changed the world. |
|
Pits Ares against Aphrodite in a heated debate provoked by Xena's actions in “A FRIEND IN NEED.” |
|
(Xippy Award) Gabrielle reminisces about some key scenes we didn't see in the final episode of “Xena: Warrior Princess.” The companion piece to "What Stories Are For Too," which is from Xena's perspective. |
|
Gabrielle’s wry “inside view” of what it was really like traveling with a pregnant Warrior Princess. |
|
Gabrielle finds mixed results and an old enemy when she seeks help from the Amazons in dealing with a Warrior Princess who seems to be living her past and future in unexpected ways. |
|
Xena and Gabrielle must confront a “what if” scenario spun between the end of the episode “WHEN FATES COLLIDE” and the beginning of “DEBT I.” |
This was a great story. I enjoyed every word! - TC Nov 14th, 2002 |
I really loved this story it has two shows I really like alot. Mash and Xena. It was also an interesting idea to have a Doctor observing a healer like Xena:) - Renee T Nov 13th, 2002 |
9/11 was a terrible day for all of us... including Xena. And boy is she bent. This is a must read, IMO. Pearl Heart did a great job picking the characters minds and finding their true reactions to such a horrible occurance. - Tigress Nov 13th, 2002 |
Oh, I loved this story. It was neat how it was set up so you didn't know what was happening right away. Its so sweet and loving. I just thought it was great! - Jane Nov 12th, 2002 |
Clearly a novice effort, unexceptional and unbelievable plot, Drastic need of better editing, original plot next time around. May improve with more experience. Keep trying. - Disappointed Nov 12th, 2002 |
Hilarious! - Adam Nov 12th, 2002 |
I actually laughed out loud at work reading this one - never a good thing to do! Excellent fiction. :) - Adam Nov 12th, 2002 |
This was one of the funniest fictions I've read in a LONG while. Fantastic. - Adam Nov 12th, 2002 |
Hi! I've read your story "Blind Date". It's great! Just great! I laughed like crazy while reading it! I guess we have a similar sense of humor. Thank u very much for ur writing! Best regards. - Angel Nov 12th, 2002 |
How would Xena feel about the events of 9/11? Especially when the God of War comes knocking on her door. An excellent, heartfelt story. Must read! - Anonymous Nov 11th, 2002 |
It is really hard to find a Mel and Janice story that is really good, but we have one here! Tigress kept Mel and Jan true to their spirit from the short time we had gotten to know them in "The Xena Scrolls". This is a must read for all Mel and Jan fans. - Pearl Heart Nov 11th, 2002 |
I really loved this story! I couldn't think of a better way to bring closure to a character. A must read! - Pearl Heart Nov 11th, 2002 |
This story was different than what I'm used to from Larisa. But, it was still just as good as any she's ever written! It was very good... can't wait for part two! - Amanda Windeler Nov 10th, 2002 |
This was the very first story I ever read by Larisa... This story was what got me hooked. The imagery in everything she writes shows here in this story. I fell in total love with Larisa's writtings, because of this story. I read it in only an hour and a half... and could not believe what I was reading! I wanted more, and right away! Larisa rocks! - Amanda Windeler Nov 10th, 2002 |
I fell in love with this story! It is funny, trivial.. all of Larisa packed into the normal style of her writting. Her description of the band was exceptional! What an imagination this woman has! She can write about anything or anybody. - Amanda Windeler Nov 10th, 2002 |
I loved this story, short and delightfully funny!! - Lari Nov 10th, 2002 |
I really enjoyed this story emotionally powerful. Well done - norma thompson Nov 9th, 2002 |
Um . . . wow. I, uh . . . wow. - Deanna Nov 9th, 2002 |
Larisa struck gold here. I think it was most definitely one of her best stories. I laughed the entire time, and the characters are wonderful. A must-read if you like a good plot and lots of laughs. - Larkin Nov 8th, 2002 |
Do not pass this one up. It's very well written and quite hysterical. I couldn't keep from laughing while reading this one. - ShyBard Nov 8th, 2002 |
I loved the humor in this story, especially the interaction with Yancy and her Aunt. Larisa has got to be nuts! - Dancer Nov 6th, 2002 |
An amusing story that requires a bit of imagination from the reader. - Julie Nov 4th, 2002 |
Autolycus was a great character and this piece of FF certainly does him justice, IMO. It was a quick read that had me wishing it was longer. - Anonymous Nov 3rd, 2002 |
I love Mel and Jan stories. I think this may be the best one I've had the pleasure of reading. It's a must see! - Anonymous Nov 3rd, 2002 |
This story illustrates that love takes many forms. They are all equally beautiful. - Randi Nov 3rd, 2002 |
This was wonderful conclusions to a sweet and very fascinating series. I love to see how Hil has grown and changed it is truly interesting to observe what a positive future might exist. - Jane Nov 3rd, 2002 |
I loved this romantic tale. How can you help loving two people as innocent in their love as Hil and Anna. It was just what I needed tonight a bit of sweet romance before I turned in, Thank you. - Jane Nov 2nd, 2002 |
Ok, I definately like it. The plot is a good one and the characters have great personalities. I have read other stories by each of these writers and while I enjoyed them individually, I absolutely love them together [hint, hint]. - jayekaren Nov 1st, 2002 |
In the spirit of halloween I clicked on this story because it was supposed to be a vampire tale. It was fabulous. In a world where bad vampire stories abound, it was a real pleasure to find one that was well written. It had enough horror and violence to make it believable, but nothing gratuitous. I'll be looking for this story next year about this time. - Melanie Nov 1st, 2002 |
Here's a story that made me feel sympathy, pain, fear and elation all in the span of 46 pages. I can't believe I haven't read this before now. I'm going back to read all her other stories! - TJC Nov 1st, 2002 |
Is there anything this Bard can't write about? I loved this first time story about Sam and Janet! - Dancer Oct 31st, 2002 |
Sci-Fi!!! My favorite genre and so far, this is a great story. I thought the Timeline was a terrific idea and really gave a good background for what's happening. As good as any Star Trek I've read. More, please. - firedragon209 Oct 31st, 2002 |
This was sooo interesting I love how we got to see their personal lives and learn so much more about Lara and Sarah. I thought the mystery was really neat. I knew nothing about Easter Island, I learned alot! - Emma Oct 31st, 2002 |
I'm really enjoying this little series of vignettes. - Anonymous Oct 31st, 2002 |
This was sooo interesting. I love how we got to see their personal lives and learn so much more about Lara and Sarah. I thought the mystery was really neat. I knew nothing about Easter Island, I learned alot! - Emma Oct 29th, 2002 |
This was sooo sexy, I loved it. I really enjoyed having Ares in the story and as usual the girls relationship is sooooo beautiful. - Emma Oct 28th, 2002 |
An absolute fabulous work of art, and yes, I mean art. The way Ms. Ruiz described the events in this story is amazing. She gave in-depth detail of the surroundings, giving the reader a clear picture, almost as if one was watching a movie. Once I started reading the story, I couldn’t stop. In some parts, I was on the edge of my chair, chewing my nails. The best story I have read in a very long time. - Anonymous Oct 27th, 2002 |
She is one great writer, maybe the best around - Anonymous Oct 27th, 2002 |
This story is brilliant, hillarious and even better than 'story of me' which I honestly didn't think possible! - Anonymous Oct 27th, 2002 |
Read it. Please. At the very least it will make you grin. I love the characters and I can't wait to see more. It's not finished but the author might decide to continue it if she get enough fb. So go. Shoo! Read it. Reply to it. And you'll make me very happy. Also check out her other finished story "And I Saw Her". Definitely good stuff. You'll thank me later. - Kelsey Oct 26th, 2002 |
Have you ever read something that makes you just want to sit down and talk to the author for a bit? Just to see if they are as extraordinary as their writing? No? Then go read this and I promise you will want to do just that. Verity writes with a passion and a sense of realism that is lacking in many writers works today. It's honest, painful, and possibly offensive to some people but I say read it anyway. I promise you won't be sorry. It is a truly special story. I can't wait to see more from this author. - Jessie Oct 26th, 2002 |
This so sweet, I love both Bewitch and Xena, this story captures both so well. I loved the end. - Jean Oct 26th, 2002 |
This was one of the funniest stories i have read in quite a while i laughed so hard - Anonymous Oct 26th, 2002 |
By far one of the best Mel and Jan stories out there. Yeah, it's gen, but don't let that deter you! YOu have to read this story! It's got one of those "it could have happened this way" feel to it. Nice work Tig! - Xenafan911 Oct 26th, 2002 |
I always did love Auto and this is just the absolute best tribute to a very fun character. I can't say much more because it would spoil it! But, this is an excellent FF and well worth your time to read! So, what are you waiting for?? - Xenafan911 Oct 26th, 2002 |
I love Frizzle!! He's so dang cute! I just want to go give him a hug! More Frizzle stories please!!!!!!!! - Xenafan911 Oct 26th, 2002 |
Very cute story indeed! It captures X&G as I imagine they would be as children. Clever story and very imaginative. Another must read! - Xenafan911 Oct 26th, 2002 |
One of Taleweaver's best stories. It may be short, but it is sooooo full of angst that you just jump right in and start tearing up. She says so much in such a few words that you can almost "see" what she is writing. |
What an incredibly clever story! I only wish it was longer! Really did well to get into the "mind" of the bard. Excellent! - xenafan911 Oct 26th, 2002 |
I read this story a long time ago, and it's still very sweet. This was the one that got me hooked on HerBard's writing. She's talented, she's funny and her characters are more than believable! They're great, they're nearly human and they stay with you for a long time after you've read the story. Don't miss this one! - taleweaver Oct 26th, 2002 |
Is it different from her other work? Yes. Doesn't matter - this is a really nice change for Larisa, and one that demonstrates her range very well. I really enjoyed Capon Savage and disagree with the comments that say it is not among her better work. - Anonymous Oct 25th, 2002 |
I started this story by mistake, I actually thought it was a story by a different author. But once I started reading this story I didn't want to stop. I thought it was great! A very suspenseful story, but the author didn't try to draw it out like some I've read. It was very cleanly written. I even wrote the author to tell her and she wrote back, a very funny and polite note. She's working on a new story and I for one can't wait to read it. - Tina Oct 24th, 2002 |
OMG! What an absolutely amazing story! A cop and a lawyer meet in an elevator...both attracted to each other, but neither one willing to take the first step. But when Moocher (you just have to love this woman!) steps in on behalf of her friend Maggie, OMG! the sparks really fly! Anne is smitten instantly and these two are off on a most incredible adventure of discovery, love, life...But make sure you have the tissues ready! There are tons of spew alerts, but for every spew there is a tear-jerker h/c scene not too far behind! Zuke provides a brilliant balance of real life ups and down, human dialogue and characters you just can't get enough of!!!! Is there really a sequel? Is this published yet? Please, this needs to be a real book! - Ann Oct 24th, 2002 |
Better than most of her other works. A light, funny story to get your mood up. - K.C Oct 24th, 2002 |
Dinos, reptiles and nasty attitudes! Are Xena and Gabrielle going to be on the dinner menu? Not if their new friends can help it! This is a fun story with action enough for any of Xenafan911's fans! Short, action-packed and a very good read! - ScatteredBard Oct 24th, 2002 |
Taleweaver has done it again! Why isn't this writer more popular? Xena and Gabrielle must have been children some time. This is what might have happened. I think you should read this one to the kids, and then read it again for the "awwwwwww" factor! - ScatteredBard Oct 24th, 2002 |
This is sooooo chilling! It's the story of power, intrigue and a bleak future. But there is hope. You have to read this most amazing story to find it though. You MUST read this! - ScatteredBard Oct 24th, 2002 |
A refreshing change from your regular kind of story - I really enjoyed it! - Tania2 Oct 24th, 2002 |
It's not really lesbian fiction. It's more of a "what-if" story. what if Xena and Gabrielle had met as young children? Characters from the past gather in a sweet tale of what might have happened. - Anonymous Oct 23rd, 2002 |
Wow! Who knew love haunted the hills? But indeed it does, as these two friends discovered. Go read it, but be prepared to say "Awwwww" - Anonymous Oct 23rd, 2002 |
I'm a huge fan of Zuke's, and the "Dear Booger Letters" are a laugh! Short, sweet, sometimes filled with bitterness (and vomit). "Dear Booger Letters" are the answer to what a lesbian does on vacation. A must-read! - Taleweaver Oct 23rd, 2002 |
"Curve" is a great story about two women that meet, resist love, then plunge in with both feet. They have their ups and downs, tread through great conflict, and nearly part company. The ending is satisfying, the story is entertaining and beyond measure. I hear there MIGHT be a sequel too! Zuke is a gifted, under-heralded writer of great scope. You won't be disappointed with any of her works! - Taleweaver Oct 23rd, 2002 |
This is an awesome story! THIS is how the X:WP series should have ended! Gabrielle goes on a do-or-die quest to return Xena to the land of the living, with some help from Hercules, Eve and Virgil. Not to mention Ares and Aphrodite. Xenafan911 should poke her muse. I hope she writes more very soon! - Taleweaver Oct 23rd, 2002 |
:) good story - hh Oct 22nd, 2002 |
Oh My, This is soooo different from all Ri's other stories. I loved it! I'm a huge Xena and Lara Croft fan. I love this crossover because it makes so much sense and I adore the relationship between Lara and Sarah. - Emma Oct 22nd, 2002 |
This was sooooo funny. A great retelling of a classic screw ball comedy. I just love the scene in the room when all hell brakes loose especially how someone makes her entrence. - Emma Oct 22nd, 2002 |
See the following link to read the comments. Be advised the comments contain spoilers to the story. Read Comments - Kamouraskan Oct 22nd, 2002 |
Even though that one is a little sad at the end, it's such a great reading! Ladykate has always really good ideas for her stories and she has that very special way of telling them that once you read the first paragraph you just don't want to stop before you get to the end. Second Chances is no exception. It's intelligent, moving (without being mushy) and very well told. I wait eagerly for her new stories. - Lucia Beltrao Oct 21st, 2002 |
I really loved this magical tale of love, literally. Seeing it thru Pru's eyes made it come to life I really enjoyed it. - Emma Oct 21st, 2002 |
For your first story, not bad at all! Way to go! :) - Amy Murphy Oct 20th, 2002 |
it really sounded like an interesting story but the way it is layed out everything runs together and it is extremely hard to follow - Anonymous Oct 20th, 2002 |
What a wonderful story! I have enjoyed every story Ali Vali has posted on the net. If you haven't read "Play It Again, Sam", you don't know what you're missing. I hope that it is posted on this website soon for those of you who haven't read it. This is truly a gifted storyteller and I've never been disappointed with this authors' work. If I could give it a 10 star rating, I would. - Maria Oct 19th, 2002 [Fan Fiction Editors' note: By reader request we've found and indexed Play It Again, Sam as well as 4 other stories from Ali Vali. This was fabulous! I was so fascinated I couldn't put it down. I cried my eyes out at the end. It was touching subtle ending for a wonderful romatic series. - Dee Oct 18th, 2002 |
This was sweet but I am not sure I really liked it as much as the first two. - Anonymous Oct 18th, 2002 |

I loved this story sooo much. I thought it was wonderful how a whole world was opened up in this really romantic futeristic love story. - Anonymous Oct 16th, 2002 |
I loved this!!!! Great idea Lara Croft and Sarah Covington are wonderful to watch. I love to read how they seemed to just grow into a great team. Wonderful story!!! - Rocky Oct 16th, 2002 |
I just finished this, I think the whole thing is a cutee. Well done. - Pip Oct 16th, 2002 |
I just finished reading this really sweet story and I am looking forward to the next part. I think of the idea of the dream becoming reality was really well written:) - Anonymous Oct 16th, 2002 |
Just want to comment on Murder by Association. MBA is an excellent mystery novel set in NC's city of Wilmington. Det. Johnnie Green is battling against time trying to find a serial killer targetting lesbian prostitutes. When the killer strikes close to home, she has to work double time. MBA keeps you at the edge of your seat and you'll be wondering what is going to happen next in every chapter! I say read it, read it, read it!! - Katia N. Ruiz Oct 15th, 2002 |
This is one exciting ride. I look forward to more stories from this wonderfully talented writer. Take the time to enjoy this faced paced, intricately woven story. You wont be sorry. - Maria Oct 15th, 2002 |
Just wanted to give a comment on my favorite story, Noemi. Folks this is a wonderful story about two women coming together through adversity. One realizing that she can love again, and the other realizing that she is worthy to be loved. I have read the story 'numerous', ok over 20 times and I love it more each time I read it. You should read this story, and be sure to let Katia know what you think. - Tonya Coley  Oct 15th, 2002 |
I really enjoyed this piece of fan fiction. You can relate to the characters and their relationship. I would like to see this story continued but if is not, it is still a very good read. - Anonymous Oct 14th, 2002 |
I really loved the plot of the story, the characters, the mystery and the surprise ending!!! I started reading it with the intention of reading a couple of chapters. Couldn't put it down. - MaxxPepper Oct 14th, 2002 |
Heart's series is charming! You don't want to miss these. Outstanding!!! - MaxxPepper Oct 14th, 2002 |
We readers slowly learn the hearts and minds of the people in this story, even as they are learning and growing themselves. The story line is humorous, mysterious and entertaining, but provides a deeper understanding that people change and mature as does their love for one another. Good Read - MaxxPepper Oct 14th, 2002 |
What a charming love story. The characters are so natural and the love between them is so real! I enjoy S.Lee's sense of humor and playfulness. It's a fun, sweet, pleasurable read! Can't wait for the 2nd part of the trilogy. - A Fanfic Uber Fanatic Oct 14th, 2002 |
This is one of the funniest stories that Ri's ever written. I had to go out and rent the original and you know what I like Ri's version better because the robbery makes more sense then in film. I have to admit I love the relationship between the two leads and the way she wove the orginal concept into a whole new story, I can't wait to read the second part Million Dollar Baby! - Pip Oct 14th, 2002 |
Two reasons to read this story:1)Larisa wrote it! and 2)It's a Larisa story with animals in it!!! - JB Oct 12th, 2002 |
After reading her stories, I believe this author writes for the sheer joy of it--and it shows. I know it's a good story when I laugh aloud and my dog does that head to the side thing. ;) My advice to any interested parties is to read the full series for unlaboring, totally enjoyable, reading. To the author: you can't hear it but my hands are clapping. Well done! - Kay Oct 12th, 2002 |
The 3rd and concluding installment to this story killed it for me. It was a promising story up until then; a sequel to a favorite of mine, "First Look" & "Hindsight". Don't shoot me, I do enjoy this bard's work but Joyce and Christina's progeny deserved a better finish than this. Seemed a little forced like the author just wanted to finish the story quick. - Kay Oct 12th, 2002 |
I don't know why the ring trilogy always left me feeling I needed more but it did. They just showed it on Oxygen and I was looking around the site and found this story of Ri's. I liked it because it was a real ending in fact I was able to go to bed once I read it. Thanks Ri:) - Lee Oct 11th, 2002 |
Very sweet and very funny. These characters are adorable and so very romantic. I wish I had a partner like Kat. - Anonymous Oct 10th, 2002 |

Good Evening; I am the owner/moderator of a yahoo group called the Canadian Uber Addicts that discusses all the ubers, all the time. (And no, you don't need to be a Canadian to join...you just need to know one <s>) With good manners in place and in mind, we don't devote ourselves to one bard, but to all the brilliant bards the uberverse has to offer. We 'discuss & cuss' what works and doesn't, our favourite characters and our favourite bards, new and old. We also have several "bards in residence" as we want to give writers of all levels of experience a place to practice their craft and dialogue with theirs fans ~ especially those who may not yet have their own group or spend alot of time answering FAQ's to a myriad of fans. (Anything that saves them time to write works for us <vbg>) Our group page is here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Canadian_Uber_Addicts/ and folks can subscribe by sending an email to: Canadian_Uber_Addicts-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Best, Debra |
I really loved this story it was one of those that I just kept reading and lost track of time. I started it because I wanted to see how they would meet again and just kept reading as the relationship built. Great Job! - Lee Oct 9th, 2002 |
In this alternate timeline story, Xena is a warlord on the rise. She runs into this blonde chick to whom she is unusually attracted, and they spend some time getting to know each other. Will Xena change her wicked ways for the many pleasures of love? Read it and find out for yourself! - Anonymous Oct 9th, 2002 |
This story addresses what might have happened if Xena hadn't fought back against Cortese, but been enslaved by him instead. Meanwhile, Gabrielle has been married off to a real jerk, who thinks giving her a big butch slave girl might improve the situation. It does, but not for him. - Anonymous Oct 9th, 2002 |
It's ten years after the events of "The Debt" and Xena and Borias are still in Chin with Lao Ma, enjoying a spiritual and somewhat decadent life style. Enter the blonde slave girl. Romance, adventure, and revenge plans ensue. - Anonymous Oct 9th, 2002 |
I haven't read a story by this author that I haven't liked. Crescent Wrench is no exception. It was great. I can't wait for the next story to be posted. - Rowan Oct 8th, 2002 |
I thought I would mention to all my fellow readers that Blue Oblivion has a sequel. It's called 'A Rose in Blue.' A terrific continuation of Blue Oblivion, that deserves to be read and enjoyed by all. There's no link to it yet on the Atheneum but they have been busy lately... :) - darkenedkarma Oct 8th, 2002
[Fan Fiction Editors' note: We've just indexed 'A Rose in Blue', as well as several other works of J.P.'s Enjoy!] |
This was such a sweet, romantic story. What a whirlwind romance!! The characters made my heart smile and I enjoyed reading a story that was angst free. - S. Kay Oct 8th, 2002 |
A well written story with action, humor and love! - Piper Oct 7th, 2002 |
This author has written a really fine story here. The central characters will capture your heart. Read and enjoy...I did. - LW Oct 6th, 2002 |
Larisa has found the formula that works everytime...I love her stories! Please keep them coming!!!! - LW Oct 5th, 2002 |
I really like see the girls relating with the great Hercule Poirot. It was a really good original mystery too and to see the obvious descents of Xena and Gabrielle working with the great to detective to solve it was a BLAST!!! - Anonymous Oct 5th, 2002 |
I loved this story. It was a lovely, uplifting, romantic story with just enough cuteness to be wonderful. This is one of my favorite bards! - Sandy Oct 4th, 2002 |
After wobbling a little with her last couple of stories, Larissa is back! "The Ice Princess" is well written, no lags or jags, just the author at her best. I loved the pez dispenser; it brought back childhood memories and a hankering for one of those solid, pure sugar treats that made me wired and able to run faster than anyone else. ;) Thanks and all that jazz to the author for an all-around good read. - Kay Oct 3rd, 2002 |
This was a good in between filler for what happened in India. I always liked Between the lines and wondered how the girls felt about what the future lives was like. - PiP Oct 3rd, 2002 |
The very first time I read this story, I was blown away. This is a story that will have you reading it over and over again. I should know, I read it four times!!! - Anonymous Oct 2nd, 2002 |
Short, sweet and definitely different! - X X Sep 29th, 2002 |
Wow! Yikes! and Hubba Hubba! The sexual tension alone is enough. (But there's more, I promise.) - SharonC Sep 29th, 2002 |
If you like the Dar and Kerry series by Melissa Good, then you will love the Season Series also! You can't help but laugh, love and cry right along with Robbie and Janet. The children Ryan and Reb' are just as endearing and fun to read about. A MUST READ & HIGHLY RECOMMEND! - Chrissie Sep 29th, 2002 |
Mavis's Brass Ring is impressive! The romance simply sizzles off the pages as sensual CC & a sexy, spunky Jamie meet again after a disastrous youthful relationship. You don't want to miss this one. The writer introduces us to a cast of characters who immediately win our hearts. Her writing is excellent and fast paced. The plot unfolds with subtle twists and turns that will keep you intrigued. - X X Sep 29th, 2002 |
Zee brings to the table compelling characters and an eye for the way in which terrible experiences shape one's life. A thrill ride of emotions--tears, laughter, loneliness, joy, a dash of craziness and a heap of romance. There is a large secondary cast of characters who round out the story, including Sammy & Nikki..who I'm still trying to figure out. - X X Sep 28th, 2002 |
Larisa has written a love story that transcends time. This one gently captures your heart, then holds you spellbound. Well done, bard. - ~M~ Sep 28th, 2002 |
Wonderful sequal to Time Flies and In a Grain of Sand. I think we got to know the girls even better and I love the setting of Easter Island. I actually learned some things and I hope this is not the end of the fun series. - Lee Sep 28th, 2002 |
this was such a lovely romantic story. I love how sweet the charachters are and I couldn't wait to find out how the story ended. It was such fun ending I hope Ri writes more of it - Pip Sep 27th, 2002 |
I hope the author doesn't hate the words cute and delightful, because she's gonna get that a lot. All 4 of her short stories were well...delightful! - deejay Sep 27th, 2002 |
All I can say is, "Wow!"This story kept me riveted and up a little past my bedtime trying to finish it. A unique heroine and an interesting mystery make this one great read. The conclusion is a total surprise and definitely not anticipated. A very good twist from the norm. - X X Sep 27th, 2002 |
I absolutely loved 'Lessons'. As a recent college graduate, I could totally appreciate the setting and situations of the characters. It has a different feel to it than most other fan fics and it is refreshing and addictive. I was very impatient during updates :). - Michelle Sep 27th, 2002 |
What a super fun, fast, feel-good, read!! I didn't want it to end. - Joan Sep 27th, 2002 |
What a treat it is to find a story, begin reading, then break out laughing deep from the gut not once, but repeatedly. Cooking on High is a perfect dessert of a story -- tart, tangy, and with just enough froth to be irresistible. - L Sep 27th, 2002 |
Just finished reading and I really enjoyed it...hilarious! Touching, too! - L Sep 27th, 2002 |
Just finished reading and I really enjoyed it...hilarious! Touching, too! - L Sep 27th, 2002 |
Well done! I really love the way this story is told. The charachters have so many dimensions that you feel like you know them and they are real. I really loved it. - Anonymous Sep 27th, 2002 |
I loved it. Brilliantly paced, characters that live, breathe and sweat. But why isn't there a "Do not read at Work" warning on it? It needs one badly! I'm really looking forward to reading more from this bard! - Tania2 Sep 27th, 2002 |
I am a big fan of Kim, and this is a good fic, but it is not their best work. There are times it is confused and for moments the history is something slow. The best in the writer is the drama, and I recommend a lot "FIRST" and "AGAIN", in that order. Excellent histories. - Atalanta Sep 26th, 2002 |
This is one of those stories that I've read over and over again. It's well written, with rich and colorful characters. I loved it. - darkenedkarma Sep 26th, 2002 |
Wow! I was totally engrossed in this one & disappointed there wasn't more! - darksoul Sep 26th, 2002 |
Nice things come in small packages! :) - anon Sep 26th, 2002 |
I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this story: The plot is well written and the characters very believable. I will look forward to a sequal with great anticipation. - L Sep 25th, 2002 |
I love everything written by this author but the Seasons Series is my favorite. MUST READ - jadedone Sep 25th, 2002 |
OMG!!very very good <eg> - Engel1 Sep 25th, 2002 |
A lot of action and excitiment, fast-paced, great plot, the characters are believable and story is full of danger, intrique and suspense. Excellent read. - Engel1 Sep 25th, 2002 |
A beautiful combination of humor and romance! - darksoul Sep 25th, 2002 |
Very, very funny! I read this after I finished Rapture and it was such a different kind of story. I can't believe it was from the same author. I loved it. I'm still laughing! - Kelly Sep 24th, 2002 |
This was a very original story! I don't think I've ever come across one quite like it before. After reading it, I do wonder and worry about the author. I did read the disclaimer, but still I wonder. Even if the author is a heretic I'll read it again, just because it was an original interpretation of a very old idea. - Kelly Sep 24th, 2002 |
This was a charming story. What a whirlwind romance!- SuzyQ Sep 24th, 2002 |
This story has it all. Humour, angst, sci-fi, mystery, and a dose of reality! Very few authors can mix all this and come up with a non stop page turner till the end... Anne has done a fanatastic job. A MUST READ! - Reader Sep 24th, 2002 |
This is one great romantic tale with the classic overtures of what an Uber is all about! Wonderful! - Solari5 Sep 23rd, 2002 |
Wonderful short story but it will melt your keyboard, I warn you. - Lauren Sep 23rd, 2002 |
Watching Jamie and CC spar is a delight, adding spice to a novel already hot enough to boil water. - Kat Sep 23rd, 2002 |
I have just stumbled on Mavis's work and have spent much of the past few hours reading this entire series. I'd just like to say...thank you,for a brilliantly witty and sizzling hot series. - Kat Sep 23rd, 2002 |
Not one of the better works by the writer. Shaky and rough, guess even the good writers have bad days. - Lari Sep 23rd, 2002 |
I LOVE HOW THIS STORY BEGINS AND CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE REST! - Anonymous Sep 22nd, 2002 |
I have read and liked most of Larisa's work but Capon's Savage is the first time I have felt compelled to write and say how much I loved reading a story. - russell dodd Sep 21st, 2002 |
Whoa! You'll need to sit in a bucket of ice while thinking of Antartica after reading this one. Just enough BDSM to make it interesting and quickstart your libido! ;) - Kay Sep 21st, 2002 |
short and sweet. - maddie Sep 20th, 2002 |
If you want a good history, this is for you. Excellent, one of the best I have ever read, really.I would recommed it to everybody. - Atalanta Sep 19th, 2002 |
Fab.. when's the rest available to read? - Anonymous Sep 19th, 2002 |
You are such a wonderful writer and write such interesting characters I thoroughly enjoyed this mixture of thriller, romance, and comedy. A definite recommended read. - Carla Sep 19th, 2002 |
This author has style!!! Don't let the negative comments fool you - this one is funny and romantic. Don't expect it to be like Body Parts though! Hey, would I lie? - One 'lil Amazon Sep 18th, 2002 |
Another well written story by DE Salsbury. Written in the fashion of her story Fate, which continues the interest in this story right from the beginning. The anticipation, whats going to happen next. You have yourself in a time period of a King, Queen, and Knights. Ah! A tournament, to fight to be Champion to the Queen? What? Wait how can this be? Why? Full of surprises! By the second chapter you understand the whys and whats. It doesn't stop there, you find yourself in a life situation that we can relate to, full of excitment, and love found. Keeps your interest going and in a fact you could imagine an on going story in the lives of Gwen and Alex. A very heart warming story that you will want to keep reading. Advised reading? YES! - (A Fan) Kathy Sep 18th, 2002 |
I really loved this story, Larisa knows what a romantic I am and she weaved an enchanting tale. I think the charachters are wonderful and they all have a great deal of depth even the smaller charachters are intersting and full of life. I think its a terrific story! - Ri Sep 17th, 2002 |
I really really enjoyed this story! Long may the authors writing partnership last! - GG Sep 17th, 2002 |
Though BDSM is not my cup of tea, I found this a very well written story. I found the shortness of the story increased the impact, enhancing the overall power of the narrative. Would love to see more from this author. - Chuchi Sep 17th, 2002 |
I've read each and every story that this bard has given us. I believe 'Afraid of the Dark' is her best work yet. It was actually hard to choose a favorite. I encourage anyone who wants a great read to pick any of this bards work, I guarantee you'll love it. - raven_heart Sep 17th, 2002 |
Irrestible!! Well written, chillingly effective plot, fresh and endearing heroines...remarkably satisfying. And HOT!!! HOT!! HOT!!! HOT!!! - L Sep 17th, 2002 |
Sherri does an excellant job meshing the Warrior Princess with Lara Croft. She's brought back my interest of the ancient ruins of far away lands and Easter Island with her stories.- Larisa Sep 17th, 2002 |
Sherri does an excellant job meshing the Warrior Princess with Lara Croft. She's brought back my interest of the ancient ruins of far away lands and Easter Island with her stories. - Larisa Sep 17th, 2002 |
Larisa 's earlier work has more substance and depth. She is writing stories to quickly and they are lacking because of it. - anonymous Sep 16th, 2002 |
Anne's writing just gets better & better. It's no wonder that all her novels have been published. - Avid reader Sep 16th, 2002 |
Waiting for the story to be continued! - Anonymous Sep 16th, 2002 |
I loved this story, Larisa writes stories that make you think on a deeper level. And the dialogue between characters had me laughing quite often. - Sharon Sep 15th, 2002 |
I really loved this wild cross over story with Lara Croft and Xena. It is so interesting to see how much of Xena is in Lara and surprisingly how much of Lara is in Xena. - Anonymous Sep 15th, 2002 |
This is fresh and well-written, a great combination! She draws us in from the opening lines, building suspense with humor and a good sense of dialogue. I can easily picture 'normal' people talking and feeling this way. I read this one, then went back and read it again. - k.j. Sep 15th, 2002 |
A very sweet story that goes off in the complete opposite direction of the one you expect it to. Made me smile. But I wanna know what happens next. Sequel please. - Mich Sep 14th, 2002 |
Get out the ice bucket, yer gonna need it! This story is HOT, HOT, HOT, with a sweet romantic undercurrent that makes you absolutely fall in love with the characters. I want a sequel! - Mich Sep 14th, 2002 |
Good story, although not as strong as the first in the series, and a whole lot more gruesome. - Mich Sep 14th, 2002 |
Xepher? Guess those "X" names are kinda hard to come by, huh? |
My favorite in the series. I'm really enjoying the characters of Xepher and Brian, the cool new supporting characters and I LOVE what they named the dog. Good plot, wrapped up nicely and less gore! A new favorite. - Mich Sep 14th, 2002 |
Not one of Larisa's better stories. The characters and dialogue seem kind of familiar, and the bad guys are pretty stereotypical. A couple of funny lines, though. - k.j. Sep 14th, 2002 |
This is one romantic story Larisa wrote. Almost had me in tears. - Anonymous Sep 14th, 2002 |
This is one romantic story Larisa wrote. Almost had me in tears. - Anonymous Sep 14th, 2002 |
I love how Larisa weaves history in and out of this story so easily! It's somewhat of a change, kinda mystic and romantic, which shows the versatility of this bard. I highly recommend this deeper-thinking tale that will charm and enchant all readers! - Anastacia13 Sep 13th, 2002 |
Her writing and characters are so very realistic that you don't just read Anne's stories...you live them!! You should start with the "Seasons series" as you meet Alberta Pateas towards the end. What's even better is you get to read about Robbie and Janet in the "Murder series" also. It's great how she weaves all her characters in and out of each story. - Chris L. Sep 13th, 2002 |
Normally I love Larisa's work. She has a great sense of humour, but this one was very off. Needs to be re edited to remove the beta reader's comments and re thought as a whole, to many gaps and lags. - Riah Sep 12th, 2002 |
Who hasn't read this story 1, 2, 10 times???? Makes one long for the Amazon Ice Company to be back in service!!! - Kay Sep 12th, 2002 |
This story is absolutely great. The interaction between the characters is reminiscent of Tracy and Hepburn. Fast paced action. A must read. - RG Sep 11th, 2002 |
I'm surprised that the prequel to Stirred has not been posted here yet because if you read Shaken by KGMacGregor, then you were pleasantly surprised to see the return of Lily and Anna. [Shaken has now been added to our Index.] I was pulled into the story immediately and if you haven't read Shaken yet, please, run, don't walk to the story and you will really savor the quality of Stirred much more than if you read it as a stand alone. I loved both stories and I highly recommend them to everyone who is a fan of top quality, well written engrossingly charming stories. How lucky we are that these wonderfully talented writers grace us with their gifts. Thank you for sharing that gift with all of us. - Maria Sep 10th, 2002 |
In the best tradition of SciFi and in tribute to the father of all robots...a wonderful tale of love! - Anastacia13 Sep 10th, 2002 |
This is more than I ever wanted to know about chicken processing plants since the infamous X-Files episode. But the laughs keep coming! A GREAT read! - Anastacia13 Sep 10th, 2002 |
You'll need an ice bath after this story, it's pacing and content are great! - Anonymous Sep 9th, 2002 |
You can hear the nice soft music play as these two meet and see the electricity flow between these two as they get to know and trust one another. I give this story a five star rating. It's one of the best reads I've read in a very long time. I recommend this to anyone and everyone. - Righty Sep 9th, 2002 |
LOL! I love this story! Bet everyone wishes they could have that dream. Must read! - Amy Murphy Sep 8th, 2002 |
Marion did a great job in putting The Bitter Suite in perspective. Very good read. - Amy Murphy Sep 8th, 2002 |
Down right awesome story. When Fates Colldie but better! Way to go! - Amy Murphy Sep 8th, 2002 |
This is an adorably cute fun story! Must read! - Amy Murphy Sep 8th, 2002 |
I find this story to be exceptional as far as plot and in-depth development in not only the characters, but the major situations in the story. I certainly felt as if the writer was able to create very real situations that draw the reader in-- and her dialog is done very well, although sometimes it isn't clear who says what. She really could use a beta reader to tidy up, help with sentence structure. Also, the author might consider responding to readers who email her, since feedback and response is equally appreciated. - Anonymous Sep 8th, 2002 |
Holly, Hot MAMA! THUD!!!! - Amy Murphy Sep 8th, 2002 |
Great story! Made me go awwwwww. - Amy Murphy Sep 8th, 2002 |
This series by Missy Good is the best there is! Don´t miss. - Piper Sep 8th, 2002 [Part 1 of this series is A Warrior By Any Other Name] |
This story is simply, well spectacular, I recommend this and any other story on the web from this bard.Simply put this story touched me. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed...... :-) - Ange Jain Sep 7th, 2002 |
In this Sequel of Obsesson we see the return and development of the first part characters all wrapped up in a compeling storyline filled with several moments of suspense as well as action. It is without a doubt one of the best stories I have read that touch the vampire genre. It kept me hooked till the end of it. My congrats to the author. - Ravenpaladin Sep 6th, 2002 |
Oh yea great story..uhm excuse me gotta go take a bath! Thank the Gods for writers with great imaginations, Warriors and Queens! (sigh) - Solari Jul 15th, 2002 |
This is by far one of the most incredible pieces I've ever read. I must applaude you for giving readers a beautiful escape in Xena fan fiction. Surely, others like me wish to read more by the author. - Melyssa Apr 10th, 2002 |
This is one of my all time favorite stories. I've read it atleast ten times. French and Fry are hilarious. This stories contain suspence, drama, and is just plain funny. Read it!!! - FLEE May 10th, 2002 |
Beautifully written, this story broke my heart..Kudos to the writer! - Solari Jun 10th, 2002 |
Great halloween story, though not much of a ff piece, save for a bit of character look-a-likeage. Still, I recommend it for a good ghost story. - Roo Jun 4th, 2002 |
Genuinely endearing characters, funny dialogue and an incredibly sweet romance. And fish. Lots of 'em. Read it! - Anonymous Jun 19th, 2002 |
This is by far the cutest funniest story ever!! I love the way comedy is intertwined with the erotic writing I was really getting into the sex parts and wham up came a comical piece I started laughing out loud not once but several times!! - Solari Jun 7th, 2002 |
One of the best stories I've ever read. Simply beautiful. - Anonymous Apr 29th, 2002 Excellent story. I found it to be very touching. The characters will touch your heart immediately and the reader will find herself submerged into their lives. - Anonymous Jun 5th, 2002 This is one of the best stories I have ever read !! I was captivated from the first chapter !! I would recommed it to everybody!! - AJ Aug 28th, 2002 |
This story made me hum--pure sex and a plot too! I found it to be well done and it certainly captivated my attention! More, please! :) - Anonymous May 24th, 2002 |
Even though I don't read uber stories, this is the best one i have ever read. This is truly a great story. I could picture everything in my head so clearly. It was truly wonderful and I recommend that any one coming across this story should read it. - Alise May 22nd, 2002 |
Smitty is one of my favorite authors. This is a person who was born with the gift to tell a story. She is so incredibly gifted, that I forget I am a reader. Her words become the truth, a reality. The Amazons of Dahomey was a fantastic follow up to The Charioteer. EMPOWERING.... - SHANE May 23rd, 2002 |
thoroughly enjoyed Buried Prejudices and the rest of your stories. I don't know why I've never read them before, but each new story is like a fine wine - to be savored. - Judy Jun 13th, 2002 As with all of Larisa's stories, she grabs your undivided attention at the onset and you find you can't stop until the last sentence has been read. All her stories contain the standard beginning, middle, and end...but in between, they're packed with enough action and romance to make your reading a delighful pleasure. - ~M~ Jun 17th, 2002 |
Until soon is one of the best stories I have read. I am an avid fanfic reader, looking for new and complete works. This was a "true find" for sure. I hope to see more from Indigal. - Fan Aug 13th, 2002 I loved this story! It had wonderful characters, good depth and the two main characters were very likeable from the start. A "must read" for anyone. - Reader Aug 13th, 2002 Wonderful story from a first time author. Great characters and very real life plot. A must read, just a warning, once you begin you will have a hard time stopping! - Anonymous Aug 14th, 2002 What a fabulous love story. Just the right mixture of humour and heartache to make Andi and CJ come alive in the world of fanfiction. Diffently a must read. - tap Aug 14th, 2002 I will definitely be telling my friends about this one. It is a great story! The characters are just so real. Andi and CJ have great chemistry together and are a pleasure to read about. - Carolyn Aug 14th, 2002 Great story!!! Positively feel in love with Andi & CJ. - L Aug 15th, 2002 Until Soon is very well written, a very sweet and believable story about two women who overcome their fear and insecurities to be together. - Sandy Aug 15th, 2002 If I could recommend just one story out there in fanfic land, Until Soon would be it. It's wonderful to stumble upon a new story and become wrapped up in it from beginning to end. It's just beyond wonderful to find out the author of the story is new. I have read hundreds of fanfic stories and this story by far is on the top of my most favorites list. I will continue to look for many more from this talented author. So run, don't walk, do not pass go, and do not collect 200 dollars, to Until Soon by Indigal. You will not be disappointed. - Trish Aug 16th, 2002 As I said to the author, "From the very beginning, I had to know the ending". It was well-written with great characters, and just the right amount of all the things in a great story - lotta lovin', little bit of angst, and one character you love to hate. I can't wait for more from this wonderful author. - ~gail Aug 18th, 2002 I loved this story....hope to see more from this author in the future... - Anonymous Aug 26th, 2002 I really enjoyed this tale, I cant wait for the Bard to post more of her work .Im recommending it to all of my friends ... :-) - AJ Aug 27th, 2002 |
If you like murder mysteries, try this one. The pace/writing style makes it a quick & easy read. It captures your attention & never lets go. - BonnieD |
I love this story as I do any written by Anne -- she has a way of writing that is a pure pleasure to read. - Linda |
This is both one of the toughest and one of the sweetest stories I have ever read. It's a time travel adventure with certainly some action, but is first and foremost a story about love for which no sacrifice is too great, and that's the best kind of sci-fi. You really get to care about the characters and by the end, the tears will flow. - Theodore Williams |
The author has found my funny bone and I just keep coming back for more. - A Larisa Fan |
This is one of the best stories I have read. I love the way the author writes. Anyone who enjoyed reading "A TWIST OF FATE" should read her other stories. - Lucia Beltrao |
Personally I rate this 5 stars! As my two orbs arc, searching feveriousely for the next words and feelings to appear, I felt the Moonwarrior draw myself into this sensious and heartwarming illusion. As this is my first read of Moonwarrior, I find my self compelled to share with you my joy. Simply, I found myself captured and embrased by Moonwarriors heart and the way she shared all those intimate details of love, so breathtaking, so vivid, so alive with emotional content. Put no embargo on this read, capture the script of life's most precious cargo. Enhancement of detailed emotions are beset upon this parchment of soul. I wish I could have quailed this more potiently, however, I find this a most sensious and compelling read. I find this short story as potiently alive as I do (the long)Cerberus' Challenge by Fiction. Moonwarriors envolvment is certainly alive with actions and words combined that compliment a totality of vibrational awarement. - feathermystic |
I loved how quickly this story moved. To say that it was heartbreaking in places is an understatement. Underneath the darkness though there's light, I really like that about this piece. - rowan999 |
