Absolutely hilarious -- one of the best pieces of Xenaverse humor I have yet seen, and a great remedy for those AFIN blues. Warning: Do not attempt to read while eating or drinking, or you may either choke or spit out your food/beverage all over your keyboard! Well done! - LadyKate Sep 30th, 2003 |
| Not for animal lovers that's for sure. - Fluffy Sep 30th, 2003 |
| I want to show this woman there is more to life then what she has had... to show her uncondtional love! Very well done FT!!!! Such a sad tale... I know the out come of this one is a very happy ending someday! - Wizzy Sep 29th, 2003 |
| This story was incredible. I've never laughed so much or cry so much. Make sure that you have a large stock of tissues nearby before you even start reading this story, cause trust me you are going to need them. Not only for the sad parts but from the tears that you will be shedding through the laughter as well. - Cheyenne Sep 29th, 2003 |
| I have read a lot of fan fics but this one and The Nearest Distant Shore held me captive from start to finish. The emotional rollercoast that this story put me through is beyond any thing I have ever experienced while reading other stories. This story took me from laughter all the way through to crying my eyes out. This is one story that I will never get tired of reading over and over again. - Anonymous Sep 29th, 2003 |
| I wanted to reach in and grab this woman. No one should be in a situation like that. No one should live like that. No one should feel that they are no better than anyone else. The character cannot change the woman. The character cannot help the woman unless she really truely and honestly wants to. So don't change to fit into some life like that. That character should be out the door and live her life and not the others. GREAT STORY!! Will always remember it! - T. Stratton Sep 28th, 2003 |
| this is a beautiful story about a deep friendship... and for me, it's not a lesbian story ! congratulations to Irish for this Uber !!! - laurence Sep 28th, 2003 |

To whoever might be concerned:
It was brought to my attention that there was a review posted for LJ Maas Rebecca's Cove at a site called Openbook supposedly written by me.
I did not write that review. I have called and e-mailed Larry at Open Book asking for it to be removed as I do not appreciate my name and address being used in this way. I also don't mess with people's jobs, a lesson others need to learn.
Secondly, I'm not nor have ever been an 'Uber' reader. I have never read any of the authors mentioned in the review and anyone who knows me knows that.
Apparently my impostor didn't. I also have no earthly idea who Cruise or Stoley are. I wouldn't even know about this, if someone hadn't pointed it out.
Having someone impersonate me is upsetting. What bothers me even more is that the so-called "victim," even before this review was posted, was sending emails implying that certain persons were after her and writing unpleasant reviews as some form of revenge. And then, lo and behold, the one with my name on it appeared.
Starting a self-righteous rally to feel important, when what is needed is more contact with reality is bad enough. What is worse is the brown-nosing followers who would probably jump off a bridge if told to do so, are gathering behind the victim in this crass toast.
One thing the "Verse" still hasn't learned is, don't follow; think for yourself, and find things out for yourself. Just because someone smiles, and talks fluently, doesn't mean they aren't flying under your bullshit detectors. Bluntly, pull your heads out of your asses and don't believe everything spoon fed to you.
Amazon and Openbook have been notified on all accounts.
When I make mistakes I own up to them, another lesson others need to learn. I have sat through numerous lies spread about me and did nothing, but this time I want people to know a bit more of what is really going on. That is, someone, not me, is playing games.
To the person who wants to pretend to be me? At least try to write like me and pick a topic that I would care about.
Sincerely bored,
The 'Real'
Amy 'Murphy'
| We waited more than one year for this story, and personally I can only say the wait was very well worth. It’s really an especial treat! The kind of story that once you read the first paragraph you can’t stop before you read the last one. And when you do, it will still be in your mind. It isn’t a forgettable story. LadyKate handled a very unique plot in a way that’s unique to her and that makes her, in my opinion, the best bard of the Xenaverse. EQUAL TO THE GODS deals with a very polemic and disturbing issue, but LadyKate is the kind of writer that can write about just anything and it will be always tasteful, elegant, intelligent, thrilling and yet, extremely honest. It’s so well written that you can easily “see” the characters in the action when you read it. Some moments of EQUAL TO THE GODS may be a little disturbing (be ready for that!) but it’s definitely a great reading. You can never foresee which path the story is going to take and you can never have an idea how it’s going to end before you get there. - Lucia Beltrao Sep 28th, 2003 |
| I enjoyed the story although I found the pages to be a bit graphics heavy. Took forever to freaking load. - KellysTigger Sep 28th, 2003 |
| I have read all the segments of this fine series and I think it gets more interesting on each outing. In this story I found myself very intriqued by Lara's journey and how Sarah's love helped and soothed her. Really well done. - June Sep 27th, 2003 |
| I thought this story was very fast paced and tense. I liked it a lot. The only thing I would have liked was a little more backround on Claire. I hope there is a sequel so we can get to know all the great characters better in this story. - Swampaa Sep 27th, 2003 |
|
God this is now one of my fave's!!! I absolutely love this bard.. I can't wait for them to write another one!! MORE PLZ!!!!!!!!! The characters are so unique and yet retain the base elemets of X&G. Simply Amazing! I don't want to give any spoilers but you would be completely mad to overlook this epic novel! - Snuff Sep 27th, 2003 |
| AWESOME PIECE OF WRITING!! Heart wrenching to know that what you said is so true for a lot of woman. May they all know that they can be true to themeselves and be who they need to be. Life is way to short and I hope your story makes someone take the steps to be who they are and not someone elses preception of a person they think they should be. - Tina Sep 27th, 2003 |
| Having not read the original book or seen the movie, I really enjoyed this story and found myself remembering clues and really getting in to it myself - norma thompson Sep 26th, 2003 |
| I fed the bards direct, saying how much I loved this story and would love to buy it if it's published. - norma thompson Sep 26th, 2003 |
| I enjoyed all 3 in the Honor series and bought the novels. My favourite author by far. I also bought Safe Harbor my fave and Loves Melody Lost. Radclyffe has a way of making you feel involved with the characters well done! - norma thompson Sep 26th, 2003 |
| Very funny !!! - Anonymous Sep 26th, 2003 |

LadyKate handles the characters and their relationships pertaining to each other with respect and care. You definitely have to an open mind about all of the relationships involved here and mature enough to understand the issues that are depicted in this story. It's not for the weak of heart, that is for certain. - Jenn Sep 26th, 2003 |
| I really enjoyed reading the phone call and am very glad you wrote this one. It was very good and hope to read more on it soon. - Debbie Dee Sep 25th, 2003 |
| This was a very good story but very sad. I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you for writing it and hope to read more of your good work. - Debbie Dee Sep 25th, 2003 |
| Just finished reading this story. It is really good and well written. I can feel the emotions that went into the writing of this as I read it. Very good Tina. I liked it. - Debbie Dee Sep 25th, 2003 |
| This story made me cry as I read it. The circumstances could have been mine. Thank you for writing this story even with all the pain. - Christine Sep 25th, 2003 |
|
Debbie, I could feel the heart pain and anquish that has gone into writing on this topic. I believe as wives and mothers, all of us have at one time or another had similiar thoughts. Thank you for sharing this with us. Well written. - Nancy Sep 25th, 2003 |
| Debbie Dee....what can I say. It's not often that we get to see the flip side of a wife and mothers ordeal. It made me sad to think that a woman could spend her whole life...girding someone else up and at the end of the day...feel like it hasn't been worth it. Being a spouse isn't easy in the best situation, but what you have here....made me more appreciative of my own mother...and for that I thank you. You did such an awesome job of writing this DD...GREAT JOB!! ....really - ne-ne Sep 25th, 2003 |
| I was hoping to see more and here it is. Very interesting dynamic. - Anonymous Sep 25th, 2003 |
| A buddy of mine sent me this story saying it was a nice take on the what happened at the end of season three. What I didn't expect was how much it would touch my heart. A very sweet story. - Aggie Sep 25th, 2003 |
| I was hoping to see more and here it is. Very interesting dynamic. - Anonymous Sep 25th, 2003 |
| There was magic in this author's finger tips as she wove this totally delightful, bewitchingly enchanting, and thoroughly entertaining romantic fictional tale. This is an awesome story, people! This story is a MUST READ! Then you'll be able to see for yourself just what I'm talking about. I have never, ever been disappointed in in this author's ability to write a most superb story. And she has done so again with this one, "Play It Again Sam". Thank you Ali Vali for making yesterday evening's reading event an unforgettable one for me. - MjM Sep 25th, 2003 |
| this story plus chase the storm are my faves always lots of laughs with larisas stories am still waiting for a combination of her stories to be published whats wrong with the publishers not to latch on to these? - norma thompson Sep 24th, 2003 |
|
Wow, how brilliantly disturbing! What a great read! Taleweaver gets dark, but in a well written short story. Someone's partner is late, but what will we find as we come along for the ride? A shocking finish. Well worth the read. - Denise Sep 24th, 2003 |
| Nice to read a good love store without having sex as part of the plot. Would recommend to anyone who wants to read a sweet story. - Rachel Sep 24th, 2003 |
| Would like to see more of these characters to see what might have come out of the relationship. Written in an entertaining way. - Rachel Sep 24th, 2003 |
|
I wanted to hate this, but I found myself laughing so that blew that right out of the water. Brilliantly done. LOL - Sarah Sep 24th, 2003 |
| Perfect. Short, simple and perfect. - Emi Sep 24th, 2003 |

I have never been one for reading long stories especially when they are not finished. With that said, I am so glad I made an exception to this rule for Fate. Fate is an amazing story with a well developed plot line and three dimensional characters. I can honestly say, unlike most of the longer stories I have read, this one has never had a dull moment. This story is a very entertaining mixture of intrigue, humor and action. Nice job D E Salsbury, keep up the good work. - Summer Sep 24th, 2003 |
|
I have to admit this was brilliant and totally hysterical. I was cackling so much my lover asked if I was planning to lay a dozen eggs soon. LOL Just wonderful being able to laugh. MORE PLEASE! :) - Carol Sep 24th, 2003 |
| Amy (I hope that's not your real name... It will make it too easy for them to find you & serve you court papers), THANK YOU! One question... Did Joe LoDuca do your musical arrangements? BRILLIANT!!! P.S. Don't worry I'll contribute to your defense fund. - Full of Grace Sep 23rd, 2003 |
| This made me laugh so hard I pissed my pants! Where do I send the cleaning bill? Please don't keep us waiting too long for the next part! - Kaye's Boi Sep 23rd, 2003 |

I was originally going to write about "Tango" and ask... is that all? But then I saw the story "Starbird", and happily read that one too. I've always been a big sci-fi fan, so I really enjoyed the story. But now I ask... is that all? I was unable to contact these author to ask this questions because the email address listed is no longer valid. I hope the author reads this or someone that knows the author reads this and passes along my praise for the story, and my hope that we will be graced with another sequel. I for one would be a very willing reader. - Rosa Sep 23rd, 2003 |
| Heart crushing, philosophical, an entry in a personnel journal? Honest in it's simplicity. Daring and courageous in this authors style. Shadylady has once again found her way in to my heart with small words. I see myself and the events of my life reflected so clearly in her stories. Letting Go by Shadylady is a story to feel EMPATHY with. - SammyLee Sep 23rd, 2003 |
| OH GOD! Good thing you have a spew warning here! LOL! When is the next part? - paws Sep 23rd, 2003 |

It is rare that I would ever read something that made me speechless. But mere words could not express the sorrow I felt nor show the true irony of this story...In order to live we have to move on but I have to thank Shadylady for taking a moment to express a hurt that many have experienced, but few have a chance to meditate upon. Thank you Shadylady...this was more than a great story.....it was and will remain...a true work of art. - a-non Sep 22nd, 2003 |
| I too have fallen into this cateory of loving and having to let go. Shadylady has captured the heartbreak in a remarkable way while at the same time still holding hope out as a beacon. - Anonomous Sep 22nd, 2003 |
| Wow. Just Wow. Will there be more? - Anonymous Sep 22nd, 2003 |

The laughter we have shared over this is one is beyond words, I pull this up when its been a bad day. I think WW said it best... we are certifiable! Frizzle is an adorable young dragon, and I truly hope his series is continued. Finally, a short story I can read to my daughter that won't take forever to get through! We both enjoyed this one! - Mary M.E Sep 20th, 2003 |
| I felt my heartstrings tugged with this brief look at little Xena and Gabrielle. How cute! I wonder though, are there any more like this? - Mary M.E Sep 20th, 2003 |
| Darkness Behind the Desk is a most unique story that will challenge your faith in your government and society. It will make you think about where we have gone, how far man has come and how far we COULD go. This story is short, but very entertaining, and most definitely worth a read. - Mary M.E Sep 20th, 2003 |
| This is a very interesting tale. I would like to see more from this writer to see how the relationship turns out. - Sue Sep 20th, 2003 |
| I don't know which Xena I loved more before the Chakram was united or after. It was a well done story that really took an honest look at Xena in this episode and what made her the warrior we love. - andi Sep 19th, 2003 |

Revolution by Kim Pritekel and Alexa Hoffman is a major wow! It's a lovely, sweet, tender, humorous, LONG first time novel. I couldn't put it down. I was so impressed with the strong use of first person. It's rare to read a well written 1st person uber...I loved it. The characters are well developed and the authors allow them to evolve into a partnership, rather than using the instant attraction, love at first sight motif. There were some minor editing glitches and errors, but overall, it's a fabulous read. If I were Lunacy (which I'm not) I'd give this my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION! Run, do not walk, do not sleep, until you've read this one. - PT Martin Sep 18th, 2003 |
| It's a real gift when a bard can a)stay on track, b)develop sincere characterizations without the story turning into a thesaurus garbage dump, c)write a sequel just as good as the first part, which incidentally is a complete story by itself and d)come up with bizarre titles so original and witty that actually fit the tale. Kudos to this fine writer! - Kaye Sep 18th, 2003 |
| Ladykate has once again woven a heartwrenching tale involving the grand trio. In all honesty, I had a really hard time reading this so be warned for a some serious emotional rollercoaster. It is a well-written piece and certainly makes you think of tripartite relationships and all it could mean. I have my reservations about the characters as portrayed here but if you're mature enough to handle some hard issues, this could be a challenging read. A thoughtful treatise. - E Sep 18th, 2003 |
| After this quick peak into the demented minds of both writers, I will never look at the tedious job of shopping for clothes/food the same way. Thanks to both of you for bringing laughter & joy into my life with this story! - Deranged ButterCup Sep 17th, 2003 |
| This story is quite moving and I would recommend it to anyone who occasionally takes the time to reflect on their life. My friend I know you exposed yourself totally with this piece and I am proud of you. - Jazz Sep 17th, 2003 |
| This story touched me very deeply. Thank you for submitting this to a public forum. - A nony mouse Sep 17th, 2003 |

I just finished this...2 parts 2 differnt authors....one story!!! AMAZING!!!! Great Job T! I mean really...I recommend both stories to anyone, but especially anyone who knows what it's like to have a best friend and lover rolled into one. It's rare but it happens. Thanks T - ne-ne Sep 17th, 2003 |
| My thanks to my good friend Wizzy for allowing me to participate in this fun story. She is right that much of it is based on true fact but we will leave that up to you, to decide what is or isn't real. Ever since joining this web group, life has been unreal in a busy real world. Thanks for helping keep my sanity and my laughter, this is for all our friends and acquaintances who may need a good laugh. - Shadylady Sep 17th, 2003 |
| Something I Said is now complete and I have followed this very different story from the start. There is angst, foul words that not only are appropriately written in the story, but at times, hysterically funny. You will both laugh & cry and want to cheer these characters on thru their rough times. The grandpa is a hoot and his cat is---ooh, can't say much & not give away too much. Give yourself a treat & read this sweet, funny & enlightening romance. - O.Ger Sep 17th, 2003 |
| Haven't we all been insecure when we are faced with new love. Shadylady has captured the doubt and indecision all of us have felt at one time or another. What a refreshing love story. - enchantress Sep 17th, 2003 |
| My God, I thought I was sitting at this woman's bedside as she passed from life. Shadylady writes with a percision that draws you totally into the drama unfolding before your eyes. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of real life up close and personal. - enchantress Sep 17th, 2003 |

Improbable Protector and its 2 sequels is simply a wonderful trilogy with great characters, romance, mystery & suspense written with much care & attention to development of plot & characters you will just love. Story moves around in places,& time with a realistic patience given to following characters progression into a warm, deep relationship. I have read many of JDragons stories and could not just pick one to recommend. But IP 1,2,& 3 is something I will read again & love it just as much as the first time. - O.Ger Sep 16th, 2003 |
| I have been a KG MacGregor fan since the Shaken/Stirred series and I have got to say her stories just keep getting better and better!!! Getting it Right is fabulous!!! The romantic tension KG builds keeps you on the edge of your seat and the chemistry between Paula and Wynne is positively electric!!! Well worth the read and then some!!! Great job, KG!!! - Michelle Sep 16th, 2003 |
| I'd like to recommend Felioness' "The Amphipolis Expedition" and "For the Love of Gaia" ... 2 wonderfully written sci-fi stories by one of my favorite bards. - Anonymous Sep 16th, 2003 |

I have read each and every story T.Stratton as ever written and they just keep getting better and better all the time. This story is great and I recommend it highly for everyone to read. Then go and read the rest of her stories. I know you will love them as much as I do. Please keep writing these great stories for us to read. - Debbie Dee Sep 16th, 2003 |

| I really didn't know what to expect when I started to read this story I wthought maybe it was her explaining The Guantet to Gabrielle. Instead it was story of discovery for the Warrior. I was enchanted by it. Excellent! - Shane Sep 15th, 2003 |
| Special moments with a beloved friend that you know will pass is a most delicate gift. Thank you For writting it...I know me and my Past beloved friend would have loved it. Just a month ago I lost somone... He had a long and painful death but he never gave up his smile. I will keep that with me and now I have a beautiful story to come back to now and then and relieve the loneliest steps I have ever taken in my life. The walk out of the room and out in the endless corridors of his hospital room, now when he had walked out the door of life. Treasure your friends, you only have them on borrowed time. - SammyLee Sep 15th, 2003 |
| Wonderful uber, TT. I certainly enjoyed it and the story had an excellent plot. Thank you very much! - Red Hope Sep 15th, 2003 |
| What do people think about the new title? I'd like to know. Thank you all in advance. :) - Katia N. Ruiz, The Tyger Sep 15th, 2003 |
| What can I say #1. This is an excellent follow-up to My Best Friend. It definitely portrays Shannon's point of view about the relationship. You are a great friend and I am very proud that you chose to write the sequel to my story. - Shadylady Sep 15th, 2003 |
| This is a wonderful series, I just love how Dakota allowed love into her life and both she and her beloved blossumed because of it. I must say the end was a bit startling but I really enjoyed all of it. - Anne Sep 15th, 2003 |

| I always asked the same questions that Xena did, I think that Ri did a good job of explaining what happened to Gabrielle. It was such a beautifully done story I think I cried through out but it was a good cry. - Faith Sep 14th, 2003 |
| Love Jamie and Casey. DD you did a great job on bring these two alive for us all. The way you had all the excitment and energy was awesome. A well written story and hope you do more!! - T. Stratton Sep 13th, 2003 |
| My God!! This has got to be one of the best if not the best story out in the Xenaverse today. The writing is incredible and the author is a marvelous storyteller. Her meticulous character development is nothing less than genius. She definitely has a knack for bringing the characters to life. I can not wait for it to be finished and published so I can read it over and over. This has definitely become my favorite story. I highly recommend this story to all. - NR Sep 13th, 2003 |
| This peice of work was outstanding, heart wrenching. I cried when I read it. You can feel the love from the first letter to the very last. Sisters have a bond that cannot be broken. Thank you Shadylady for this story. You have a way with bringing out the deep emotions and making you feel into the depts of your soul! - T. Stratton Sep 13th, 2003 |
| I enjoyed this bard's first story LA Metropolitan so was happy to see a companion piece. Wow! This one was even better. In A Heartbeat is a wonderful love story. The characters are funny, compelling and presented in a well balanced manner. Once you start reading you won't want to stop! Great story and a thoroughly entertaining read. Hope to see more of these ladies. - Beth Sep 13th, 2003 |

| DO NOT MISS this story and the others that follow it, the story of Ryan & Jamie, their families and friends is one of the best I've read . This story grabs your attention from the very first paragraph and doesn't stop. S X Meagher storytelling has away of making you feel that your right there. The main characters and others in the story are very realistic. These stories will make you laugh and cry at times, I've read the stories "A" thru "M" can't wait for the rest. :) - JB Sep 11th, 2003 |

If any reader of Mayt's stories has wondered what she would do with the Conqueror genre, the answer is My Lord. Mayt's Conqueror is a woman who rules with a sharp mind and a sharp sword. Her justice is not "easy to watch" neither is it "grievous." A young slave enters her household and slowly earns her regard. A relationship develops between the two women as the Conqueror's realm is challenged by internal and foreign forces. Their, at times, unexpected terms of engagement, both spoken and unspoken, mark what becomes a fragile and enigmatic bond. 176 pp. Published in three parts. - Author Sep 11th, 2003 |

Whoa!!! Hey y'all...read this one. You're gonna love it! It's a wonderfully entertaining story...with some tissue time thrown in for good measure. This is one very talented writer who certainly has honed her craft. I have never been disappointed in anything of hers that I've read. And this is good. - amg Sep 11th, 2003 |
