A truely wonderful story. You were able to walk right along with the characters.....Can't wait for the next installment! - Anonymous Jun 28th, 2003 |
This was a fascinating study of what happened behind the scenes in When Fates Collide. I loved finding out what the Empresses Xena was thinking and what she felt when she first saw and spoke with the Playwrite Gabrielle. Very well done! - Jane Jun 28th, 2003 |
I loved this story. It was the first one of Ali's that I read and it just had me coming back for more until I had read everything of Ali's that was available. Let me tell you...I was NOT disappointed. Whenever I find myself needing a good fanfic fix, I always return to Ali Vali's stories. I know that some wonderful reading will be waiting for me. I look forward to reading more of her work. And Ali, of your're rading this, I can't wait until "Play It Again Sam" retitled as "Carly's Sound" comes out in print. Just another book to add to my library of favories. Oh, and a sequel to "Play It Again Sam" sounds like a very good idea ;-) - Dal Jun 27th, 2003 |
It's a beautiful story that has me anticipating a sequel like have not done with any other story. - Dal Jun 27th, 2003 |
Hey, Califa. Don't Worry, the story is not nearly finished. what is finished is the end of part 1 of the book, the next part will be Jewl's story. And the part after that, will be other characters, so dont worry. - Katia N. Ruiz, the author Jun 27th, 2003 |
How could you not finish this story?I'm sure I'm not the only one waiting with bated breath for the conclusion. This is a cruel, cruel torment for an avid fan. Please finish this!! - califa Jun 27th, 2003 |
A great flash fiction on X&G. I like how its in first person perspective from Gabrielle, nice change. Very nice job, Lisa. Thank you. - Red Hope Jun 26th, 2003 |
One of the best stories I read. Very well written and done. - Anonymous Jun 26th, 2003 |
Arrrrgh Help! I've gotten to part 5 (the conclusion) of this super story but it cuts off after a page. Where can I find the rest?? - Stephanie Jun 25th, 2003 |
This story is one of my favs. Had me captivated from the beginning. I love her work and would highly recommend this fantastic novel to all readers. - Clare Jun 24th, 2003 |
An excellent story to read. I really enjoyed this twist on the Conqueror genre. A good job for a first time bard. I eagerly await a sequel, because there where many questions left unanswered. Good work bard. - jbamazon Jun 24th, 2003 |
I enjoyed this story immensely but then I have all of hers. The sequel All It Took Was You is even better. - Linda Jun 24th, 2003 |
Sometimes fate has to hit you between the eyes to get your attention. Garrison Dexter and Largo Coogan certainly find this to be the case in this hilarious Larisa tale. Add to that a crazy cousin complete with the voices in her head and costumes to match, and some rather unorthodox breast enhancements, and you have another winner!!! You go, Larisa!!! - Michelle Jun 23rd, 2003 |
Lynne Norris is an excellent author. I couldn't stop reading Second Chances once I started. I was captivated by the great story and the excellent style that she has. Regina and Alex's love developed slowly and when the time came for them to realize it, it was beautiful in every way. Keep on writing, Lynne, I'll be looking for more from you! - Katia N. Ruiz Jun 23rd, 2003 |
A refreshing tale with delightful twists. I really enjoyed this story and will be reading more from this author. - Meg Jun 23rd, 2003 |
This story is so HOT! - Honeybee Jun 22nd, 2003 |
I love Veba!!! This was such a sweet tale. How could anyone not fall under the spell of such a sweet soul? I can't wait to read the next story listed here. Thank you Ri I wasn't feeling well and this made me feel much better. - Roxi Jun 21st, 2003 |
Never have I laughed so hard, spewed so much pizza (till I learned not to eat while reading)... I will never take writing as seriously as I did before, that's for sure! Gabrielle searches for just the right word, and Xena is astounded to find that there are so many ways to describe one little body part. Needing a lift? Read Nipple! - Taleweaver Jun 21st, 2003 |
Simple and nice. None of those tired cliches and impossible posistions! Good job. - Full of Grace Jun 20th, 2003 |
I started this story a bit late at night & despite how tired I was from a long day, I could not stop reading R.D.'s fanfiction. Its quite different compared to the show's Bitter Suite. I definitely went through an emotional roller coaster and felt so rewarded by the end. Very nice job, R.D. Thank you again! ;) - Red Hope Jun 19th, 2003 |
I enjoyed the dog in the story, I hope nothing bad happens to him. So what happened to her ex-husband? I hope we see more of this soon. This is a new bard, isn't it? - F.Cambell Jun 19th, 2003 |
This continuation of the Merker's Outpost story is simply amazing! J A Bard creates an intense world where every action does have a consequence and lessons take on a planetary scale. That Jina Gari Zohra and Harriet Alexandra become a part of it all and rise above adversity is no surprise. I love the world that is presented, but I love even more the twist that this writer gives to the concept of having your characters evolve! I really cannot wait to see this in print, I know I'll be first in line to buy a copy. - Andy Jun 19th, 2003 |
Here is one author who doesn't understand at all the Xena/Gabrielle relationship architype and why it works--and why this doesn't. - Enterprise Jun 18th, 2003 |
I'm not saying whether my partner and I pulled this one off or not. What I am saying is that we are in fact giving serious thought to putting this obvious genius writer, (who, btw, should have her imagination bronzed), in our will. This has to be the hottest, PWP I've read in a long time. - Kaye Jun 18th, 2003 |
This is a complex, multi-layered, well stocked diarama that you simply must read! You'll be enthralled from the very start, hooked into a suspended belief that will keep you clicking through part after part. A great read! - Taleweaver Jun 18th, 2003 |
I really needed this burst of sunshine today. I'm right with Xena on this one everyone can use a bit of "Happiness" in their lives. - Robbie Jun 18th, 2003 |
Touching and mysterious with just the right amount of humor. - K. Murphy Jun 17th, 2003 |
This is classic Larisa! Funny, touching, an incredibly entertaining read and educational too!! Read it tonight you won't be sorry. Great job Larisa! - Anonymous Jun 17th, 2003 |
I've read most of R.D. Elliot's work. I really enjoyed them. Ocassionally I do get a little confused about who is doing the speaking or actions. I reckon Touches would be my favorite out of the lot since its a good twist. Overall, the fanfiction is excellent like the bard. - Red Hope Jun 17th, 2003 |
I have such a bone to pick with Ms. Larisa. Our relationship (mine and my dumbass girlfriends that is) is nearing breaking point because of your so called 'hilarious romps'. Well sure, I thought it was cute when she first jumped into bed wearing footie PJs, and I did so enjoy ripping the spiderman y-fronts off her firm smooth tan, ahem, uh, backside. I have just finished weening her off the Pez and donating all the dispensers to the neighboured kids. That's fine too. And I indulge the sippee cups she likes to drink her wine from...even when we have my folks over. When she painted herself green, we just made erotic paintings and said no more about it. However, to come home from a long day at work, stumble towards the shower and find my beloved avec hand at crotch, peeing (albeit with incredible accuracy - she does have amazing hand-eye coordination) whilst standing, is simply a step too far. Ms. Larisa, I plead with you to consider, when writing your next tale, some of your more impressionable fans..and their everloving girlfriends. Oh yeah and BTW bitchin' story, really love the 'bonding' scene. Dumbass will be thanking you for that tonight ;) - Stephanie Jun 17th, 2003 |
Fantastic! Another great one and one of my favorites. I'm still waiting to see Larisa's stories published. How can we get that accomplished? - dreamer Jun 17th, 2003 |
What a darling story. Very cute and brought a smile to me. - Anonymous Jun 17th, 2003 |
OH MY GOD!!! This story is one of the best I've read in a long time. I had to stop myself from laughing out loud several times. The peeing standing up thing was so funny. I tryed it and it actually works and it's fun!!! Recommend that all women who hate squatting at least try it. Instructions at the end of story. Enjoy. - Anonymous Jun 16th, 2003 |
This story is sweet! I loved it. - Bug Jun 16th, 2003 |
Robin Hood has long been a cultural favorite, but Power has given Robin a new face and a new life in this story. It's multi-layered, it's easy to read and it's highly enjoyable. I hope Power gives us more soon. - Taleweaver Jun 16th, 2003 |
Changed Lake is an amazing story, rooted in truth and garnished with gritty determination. The main character is made of strong stuff indeed, but she doesn't hide her heart of gold. So far, there's even something for the dog lovers, as well as the budgie enthusiasts! I can't wait to see how this story will take shape!. - Taleweaver Jun 16th, 2003 |
I think that this story would rank among Patty's best works. It's the story of devotion, loyalty and love that can truly achieve miraculous things. It is the story of all that is good about one small corner of the 'Verse, and it's just the story to lift your spirits after a long, hard day. - Taleweaver Jun 16th, 2003 |
With the amount of stories, Larisa has written at this point, one might be tempted to say: GET A LIFE! However, I prefer to say: Please don't EVER get a life. Please! Blue Calm is not the first Larisa I've read, and it will certainly not be the last, either. It it simply too funny to describe, it has to be experienced. You laugh, you cry... and then you laugh some more. I want a Mama and two idiots of my very own. Larisa = Quality. Keep it up! - Wolvie-DK Jun 16th, 2003 |
Loved it. I'm fast becoming a big fan of Teagen2! - Bug Jun 16th, 2003 |
A very cool story! I thought it was great and I would love to read more. - Bug Jun 16th, 2003 |
A wonderful tale of the magic of love and life with a touch of reality, the story of Carly and Poppy only enhancing the story of Julia and Poppy by giving a wonderful insight into how Poppy becomes the woman she is. I can only hope for a sequel. - N.E.T Jun 15th, 2003 |
This story was different than what I've read of hers. It weaves a tale of mystery and intreague. Definately will keep you wondering. You could see the link between Allyson and Morgan right away. And you knew there was something fishy about Allyson's survant. Truly a great tale. I loved it. :) Thanks for sharing. :) - Caden Jun 14th, 2003 |
A unique courtroom comedy that takes place in Illusia just after the end of XWP. With Ares as judge, Callisto as prosecutor, and all the usual suspects as witnesses, the reader is taken on a journey to attempt to unearth the moral of our girls' story. - Maddie Jun 13th, 2003 |
This is a first time story that takes place within the world of the famous Unicorn Tapestries. A sexy, romantic fairy tale, and a very unusual format for a story. - Maddie Jun 13th, 2003 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] What can I say about this story that will bring you all over to read it. I could say that is it one of the best out there...or I could say that it was Awesome....well how about I say that it was both. This story has heart and you can feel the connection between the two right from the get go. The feeling of not wanting to get hurt again yet unable to stop herself Allyson gives her heart again for one night. Morgan is so lost until she find Allyson that she is willing to give up all she knows. Love is the strongest thing and makes you do things that you wouldn't normaly do. I say live life and love as much as you can...especially with your soulmate!!!!! Wizzy you ROCK and I LOVED IT!! - T. Stratton Jun 13th, 2003 |
Every now and then you run across a story that plays like a movie reel in your mind while reading..this one did it for me. I simply love the story line and the development of characters in such a short story(hint)was very well done. I kept wishing that it would go on and on... Anyway you must read this story by Alex the Cat. Butch/Femme stories are really a turn on and this does the genre justice. Enjoy and please keep this author inspired!! - Anonymous Jun 12th, 2003 |
Not only does she have great taste in music but, she writes too! This romantic story is very well written and it was a lovely treat for this very warm afternoon. Keep up the good work and write-on! - nlw Jun 12th, 2003 |
J.W. Heart does it again! This entire series is a favorite simply because the author doesn't lose sight of her characters. Trace, Shannon, Dawg & company remain true to form and continue along a great storyline, providing genuine laughs (of the out loud and snorting variety) along the way. The only problem I see is that this is the end of the series. =) - Kaye Jun 11th, 2003 |
This was a great piece. I loved it! Great pace for a short story. Well worth the time to read. - Alex Tryst Jun 11th, 2003 |
An excellent piece of sci-fi writing from a very promising writer. I would dearly love to see more from this bard! The story of Nyx and Billie is the best XWP Uber Sci-Fi story I have read to date. I hope that we'll get to see this story published! - Five Two Jun 10th, 2003 |
This was a fabulous third edition to the series! I absolutely loved it! I especially enjoyed the addition of children to the mix. That was something new for Alex's books, and she did a wonderful job with capturing them accurately. There was also a new twist to her usual girl meets girl story line, which I will not divulge so it can be a surprise to readers, but I will say it truly makes Jamie a more believable character. The contrast between her physicality and her "real" personality is wonderful. As for Sarah, she was a great, strong woman. It was nice to see women who know what they want and go for it. A great book! A must read for fans of her work, and if you've never read Alex's stuff before, you should read this series. It's some of her best! - Anonymous Jun 10th, 2003 |
This bard has me hooked. Love in Gray Shadows is a story that takes us into a world that is being brought into the lime light more and more every day of our lives. I admire this bard's courage to write about this subject. Read it. It will stay with you. - Sally Jun 9th, 2003 |
This story is a true sci-fi piece of art. Sarah does a wonderful job of weaving you into a time of the future where human kind is not so human anymore. The characters are intense and complex. This story is just like potato chips once you start you can't stop. - Anonymous Jun 9th, 2003 |
Another sweet romatic tale from one of my favorite bards. I really love the Artistic flare in this one and the feeling that they were not only fated to be together but so were their families. A wonderful love story. - AJ Jun 7th, 2003 |
This is about the cutest story I've ever read! Very different from this author's other stories but no less entertaining. - Kaye Jun 7th, 2003 |
Who knew finding the right apartment could change your whole life? For Sam, finding a renter like Mike, who is willing not only to pay first and last month's rent, as well as her security deposit in advance, but also help with the repairs Sam needs to do on the last apartment, was a dream come true. As they get to know one another, Sam begins to wonder what other dreams Mike might make come true. You'll have to read to find out, and believe me, it's well worth your time!!! |
Wow! S. Anne Gardner has done it again. A story that sucks you in and never lets you go even after you have finished reading it. This bard dares to take the reader into a world hardly spoken of but that exits. Once again she gives us, the readers everything we wanted in a story. - Monti Jun 7th, 2003 |
Yet another fine story from a bard who just seems to get better and better as each tale unfolds. Love in photographs was my favourite story, until this little gem came along. Alex Tryst has certainly a talented way with words, love the way she develops a plot, throws some rather unexpected twists and turns to the reader, never mind the, will they, won't they in her stories. A fine piece of work, very skilled in its attempt to portray the southern accent, that I am glad to say works well. Cannot wait to read her new story, just posted - Stick to the Script. A Must Read. - Del Jun 6th, 2003 |
Great story from a very talented bard, who if you check out her site is also a very talented artist it seems, definitely an author to watch out for - check it out - http://surf.to/Mindwalker78 - Del Jun 6th, 2003 |
This is the most charming tale I've read yet! I felt as if I was watching an episode of our favorite show. This is a must read for anyone who wants to see a glimpse into the lives of our two favorite women. - Arati Jun 6th, 2003 |
The Charani Award for excellence for June 2003 has been presented to Daughter of Egypt (117 pages), by Shadowriter. This is a riveting story that intertwines Ancient Egyptian mythology of immortality with the turn of the 20th century. I felt myself transported back in time and actually living the story as a spectator. This is an excellent and entertaining piece of work!”
Jessica A. Michallet
A tale that has the passion of a PWP and yet an interesting innocense to it. I enjoyed it a lot! - Five Two Jun 6th, 2003 |
I've read this story twice and loved it both times. Indigal does a terrific job of developing her characters and the story. I most liked the way the two women built a friendship before starting a romantic relationship - far more believable than love/lust at first sight. I hope the author writes more stories in the very near future. - LTA Jun 5th, 2003 |
I read this story some time ago on another web site. I highly recommend taking the time to read it. Once I began, I was hooked and could not put it down until I had all the twists figured out. Ms. Brownell tells an excellent story of love, survival, mystery, family, and forgiveness. You will certainly not be disapointed by this entertaining and well-written piece. - S. Lee Jun 4th, 2003 |
Incommunicado ….This is a “must read” tale. The timing of this story couldn’t be more perfect with today’s news centering on serial killers, forensics and justice. The talents of J. P. Mercer and Nancy M. Hill drew me deep inside the story amidst the danger of the treacherous Sonora Desert, illegal immigrants being smuggled over the Mexican border and the mysterious murders of young women. The two main characters are exciting women. One, an attractive, feisty forensic pathologist and the other, a beautiful but formidable defense attorney that are brought together in less than attractive circumstances. Yep! Intrigue, sex and murder…. and .enough angst to keep me on the edge of my seat….My Thanks to the writers. - Agatha Tutko Jun 3rd, 2003 |
i'm practically in LOVE with nutty Sweetpea! WANT MORE! MORE! MORE! HILARIOUS tale, one of Larisa's brightest gems. :) - katrina Jun 2nd, 2003 |
Frizzle is so real to my kids, they often ask what Frizzle is doing now. We hope there is a new Frizzle story soon. Frizzle is a young dragon that seems to have adventures just like real kids. Including asking why the sky is blue! Do you have kids? You MUST read them this story! - K. Gibson Jun 2nd, 2003 |
This is a short sequel to "Careful What You Wish," tying up some emotional loose ends. - Anonymous Jun 2nd, 2003 |
Well DD I love what you wrote! I look forward to more. You grab the reader attention right off the bat. You keep the reader wanting more. So you better get your butt in gear and get more posted! - T. Stratton Jun 1st, 2003 |
This has been a pleasure not only to read while in the makings but seein' it actually posted here as well! DD continues to amaze me on how this story unfolds! I look forward to more DD! you so ROC! - Wizzy Jun 1st, 2003 |
No topic is more important. The courage and justice of the story are remarkable. I feel more sustained and confidence in Gardner's handling of these painfully difficult issues. S. Anne Gardner's story is terrific. - Bloomsaul May 31st, 2003 |
It is a tonic to experience a major work commited to the topic of love. There is wisdom in Ms. Gardner's writing. Highest rating. - Bloomsaul May 31st, 2003 |
I just finished reading this book by S. Anne Gardner and I find it a deeply learned, highly intelligent, and beautifully written book. - Linda Grey May 30th, 2003 |
I understand why this story has stayed in the top 25 list for so many weeks. It is skillfully written. It is superb. A must read. - Chattanooga May 30th, 2003 |
It is hard to imagine how the many aspects of love and pain are so much a like. We find so much of both throughout this story. It felt good to know a bond as strong as Tory and Danni had endured all because of their love and passion for one another. Very well written. Suprising many times over. - Chattanooga May 30th, 2003 |
I was almost not going to add my comments because I figured there were so many who already spoke up, but then I decided to go ahead and throw in my praise for this work. Never have I read such a detailed account of a mythology which is still alive today. I always knew that the Xena show had a positive affect on me, but I never realized how important the show is not only to the American culture, but to the Chinese as well. Bravo, Ms. Michallet, this is a fine piece of research and I hope you get an A+ for it. I know it's the grade that I would give it if it was within my power to do so! - Jay May 30th, 2003 |
I got very interested in this story. How are these two ever going to end up together? Is there more to this story? - Paticakes May 30th, 2003 |
So far, this is my favorite story by S. Anne Gardner. I still have a few more to read. Thanks. - Paticakes May 30th, 2003 |
I have been reading this bards works and believe this is my favorite. It is so pasionate. Every thing they went through and still their love brought them back to each other. I rate it a 10. - Sally May 30th, 2003 |
I had to read it. There are lots of surprises in this story. I thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. This story is written with lots of surprises. - Sally May 30th, 2003 |
I like this quiet story. Xena observing how much her best freind had changed and grown up. Its a very sweet and loving tribute from the Warrior's heart and you don't have to read it on Thanksgiving. - Jane May 30th, 2003 |
I started this story yesterday and finished it today. I got angry, I cried and I was so happy with how it ended. Love conquers all. - Sally May 29th, 2003 |
Wow! I read this all in one sitting. It is better than great. - Sally May 29th, 2003 |
Great story. Where can I found more of it? - Sally May 29th, 2003 |
Right away I have to say that Tess and Dana are sorry friends. Everytime I read an Uber story, Uber X and G always have the sorriest friends. I hate that so much. But anyway, I liked this story a bunch. Very good job. - Anonymous May 29th, 2003 |
Love in Photographs is and excellent read. I highly resommend it to those looking for a good read. Once you start, you won't want to put it down...even if it's 4 o'clock in the morning and you're bleary eyed and running on caffine... |
S. Anne Gardner combines suspense with romance. Wonderful story. - Anonymous May 29th, 2003 |
I'm not sure if it's a loading problem or if the end of the story finished with, "Her body shuddered and her fingers entwined in my dark locks." I can't imagine that that is the end of this short story. What I did read was wonderful and would like to finish it if I didn't get the entire story. - Mo May 29th, 2003 |
I read the comments before reading this story. They are all true. This Bard wrote a stunning love story. Read it. Once you start it you can't put it down. - Chattanooga May 28th, 2003 |
intense. Coolly thrilling. - Anonymous May 28th, 2003 |
A tidal wave of emotional storms, hot and cold constantly ticking away. Humanity's continuous and sometimes futile battle against nature makes this one of the most powerful novels. - Tildus May 28th, 2003 |
This bird sweeps the reader along at a breathless pace.Rate it highly and recommend it to all. - jeanette May 28th, 2003 |
Jammed with the tensions of imminent disaster. The whole thing unfolds with the timing of a quartz watch. - popadopalous May 28th, 2003 |
This is a rebuttal of Anonymous' feedback on the story. It looks as though there is a formatting problem with this story. I've read many stories by this bard and starting a new paragraph between a character's dialogue has never been an issue. If you read the stories on her website you'll see the difference. - Anonymous May 28th, 2003 |
wow ... what can I say ... The way L. Crystal Michallet develops the roots of Wuxia from the confucius and buddhist eras, traveling to the Chinese revolution and linking to Xena and modern movies is a strike of pure genius... I recommend that all Xena Fans do watch Brigitte Lin in the Bride with white hair to see how the persona of Xena was developed... - Aalavih May 28th, 2003 |
This story gives us the beginning of a love finally accepted between our two favorite warriors. Xena Warrior Princess and Gabriell The Bard. I have read this story more than once and was very happy to see it made the top 25 here at The Athenaeum. Good going Lisa. - Anonymous May 28th, 2003 |
I recommend this story to everyone who has had to go through the ups and downs that falling in love and trying to hold on to a woman who has a past brings. - Jesse May 28th, 2003 |
Great read. I could feel the struggle Raisa's love for Carolyn. I found myself actually praying that every thing would work for these two. Love the story. I recommend it and rate it your highest rating. Very well written. - Sqadie2000 May 28th, 2003 |
Once I started on this story I could not put it down. S. Anne Gardner has written a best seller. - Jane May 28th, 2003 |
I read this story here at work. We did not have ice. I had to ask for an extended lunch it was that hot of a story. If we still have the "Ice Awards" this one and For the Love of a Woman deserve one.Is there more of it. - Jane May 28th, 2003 |
I just had to read this story after everything I heard about it. All good. I know this is one of the best mystery stories written by a writer. By the way, I plan on reading all this authors stories. - Jane May 28th, 2003 |
Crystal is not only a talented bard, but she's a scholar as well! This thesis is a must read for any Xena fan who wants to better understand our favorite show. - Arati  May 28th, 2003 |
What a pleasure it was to learn the roots of where my favorite show came from! - Anonymous May 27th, 2003 |
Power of Two is very well written. Lisa S. always puts so much heart and soul into her stories which makes us keep coming back for more. One of her best and a must read. - Monti May 27th, 2003 |
Always start a new paragraph when a different character is speaking. I must admit that got a little annoying after a while. Other than that it was a good story. - Anonymous May 27th, 2003 |
I love this story. It is so real. - Monti May 27th, 2003 |
Two different world's collide on a night that will change the lives of two souls brought together out of a love that is stronger than the two of them. Their need for each other will bring about many dangerous decisions that affect those whom they love. Can't get enough of this one. - Betty Boop May 27th, 2003 |
The definitive story of love and how it over comes all obstacles. Beautifully written. Hats off to S. Anne Gardner - Monti May 27th, 2003 |
A compelling, memorable story, effectively told. A must read. Definitly all stars should be given. - Monti May 27th, 2003 |
WOW! What can I say that will do this story justice? I was drawn into this story and the characters, it kept me up until 2:30 this morning when I had to get up for work at 9. I simply couldn't stop reading, it was worth the lack of sleep I tell you. This was the first story I've read by S. Anne Gardner and it won't be the last. Great story, had me in tears at the end. "Compensation" is by far one of the best stories I have ever read! - Melissa May 27th, 2003 |
Powerful X & G story. Just like the title it is wonderful. - Anonymous May 27th, 2003 |
This is one of the best Conqueror Stories Series out there. A MUST READ! - Veronica May 27th, 2003 |
I think that this was a pretty decent story but in some parts it was rushed. I don't think that we saw enough of the time Julia and Poppy spent together as their relationship and feelings grew and I think that that should have been one of the most important parts in the story. We saw plenty of Carly and Poppy in the story sharing moments, but I feel it would have made Julia and Poppy's relationship something more unique in the end if we could have seen more special moments between the two. Also, I think that Julia and Poppy could have been any two women. The only thing that seemed to distinguish them as Xena and Gabrielle was there looks. Not many of the same traits or mannerisms could be seen. But, overall it was still a nice story and I enjoyed it. - Anonymous May 27th, 2003 |
Heart WRENCHING story, wonderful descriptions of both love and anguish. Dripping with emotions, something Cheaza is great at. I loved it! - katrina May 26th, 2003 |

It is great to read about Xena & Gabby as teenagers...This was a awesome story and I can not wait to read more... Robyn - Robyn MacDonald May 26th, 2003 |
The fiery pen of S. Anne Gardner sizzles once again in this steamy novel of romance. Ms. Gardner is at her provocative best as she titillates readers with her justly famous erotic prose. The best of her best to date. Thank you Ms. Gardner - Papadopoulos May 26th, 2003 |
One of the world's hottest pens. This story is passionate, romantic, and fast paced. The sex is hot and the anticipation will have you at the edge of your seat. This is not to be missed - kgreen May 26th, 2003 |
An enthralling moving account of an unspeakable crime that changed the life of a child. The child is now a woman who is out for Compensation. But what about the love of her life who will be affected by her actions? One could be driven mad. This is the real thing...a terrific story that will keep you up until two in the morning. - kgreen May 26th, 2003 |
Stunning, haunting, powerfully compelling... An intricate and revelatory chronicle of one of the most baffling love stories. - kgreen May 26th, 2003 |
Thoroughly engrossing. A marvelous love story that takes us through turmulous years in a wild land ruled by a powerful woman who finds love in a woman leaving her land. What to do? Read it. - kgreen May 26th, 2003 |
I love your story... great job!!! - Warrior*d May 26th, 2003 |
Totally absorbing. It reads like a fantastic mystery, but the horror is that in the end it is real. Kuddos to S. Anne Gardner. Number one Bard - Kittygreen May 26th, 2003 |
It is nice to know what went on during this time in Xena and Gabby's life. - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
Lisa is a very talented writer. This is a great. - Betty Boop May 26th, 2003 |
Short and sweet. Cool. - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
Totally absorbing. It is a great read. - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
S. Anne Gardner tears at the heart strings in the beginning of this story and then brings it to a firecracker blowout with all the in between and the end. A must read. - Betty Boop May 26th, 2003 |
For the Love of a Woman to me is the best story S. Anne Gardner has written. Of course Seduction of Laura has given it quite a run and then theres Til There Was You. I have many favorites by this author because of her writing style. S. Anne Gardner keeps us involved and we feel as if we are part of the story. Wonderful writing. - Monti May 26th, 2003 |
My heart is very much in this story. I am galvanized by the ability Ms. Gardner has to bring out deep feelings out of her characters that must be dealt with before their love can have the freedom it seeks. Bravo S. Anne Gardner - Betty Boop May 26th, 2003 |
Written by the Queen of twisted. I reread this story again for the upteenth time since S. Anne Gardner wrote it and want to tell all of you to read it. - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
I recommend this story to everyone. It is a true uber of Xena. Or at least I think so. Of course it has a bit more to it. A Knight in shining armor and a Lady in distress. Great read. I am waiting for more of it. - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
This is a fantastic story! I want more of it. I feel for these two and wonder how are they ever going to have a happily ever after in their future? - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
Dark but captivating. This is one of the first stories I read by S. Anne Gardner. I have read it many times over and never tire of it. It has many surprises in it. For those of you who love the twist and turns in a story, this is a must read. - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
I would love to read the story howerever the background makes it nearly impossible to do so. :( - Anonymous May 26th, 2003 |
This is a lovely mature romantic tale. I would love to read more stories from the author.E - E May 26th, 2003 |
I shrieked and oinked and howled with laughter!!! TERRIFIC story, was my first of Larisa's and i'm hooked now, totally. it's amazing how she can make you LOVE this LOVE, it's so UPROARINGLY, HILARIOUSLY ROMANTIC. Larisa, you're a genius! - katrina May 25th, 2003 |
This was a fantastic story. It was very well written and it had me until the very end. The characterization was great. I have to say though, I couldn't stand Paige. I think she was a bit of a lousy friend. Sort of reminded me of the phrase 'misery loves company' at times. Once again though, great story. - Anonymous May 25th, 2003 |
Loved this story although it was sort of angsty (except for the happy ending, sort of). A definite must read! - Anonymous May 25th, 2003 |
Compensation is a story that truly does not have a beginning or an end. It is about a love that has always been there between two people who are so much a part of each other that it carries them throughout the years. S. Anne Gardner takes us through the love, loss, hate, rebuilding and moving on of these two. Believe me when I say this "This is one of S. Anne Gardners best stories.' A must read. - Monti May 25th, 2003 |
I really haven't read a fanfiction in a few years & have been trying to find a good read. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed IseQween's story. It was a nice roller coaster of laughs, upsets, tricks, and wit. Also IseQween's writing style was a little different versus many other's I've read so that was rather refreshing. This is seriously a good story and I highly recommend it to anybody, its a lot of... fun. - Red Hope May 23rd, 2003 |
Great story, short but has a lot going for it - and yes we need more - please, pretty please. Check out her own web site for more of this excellent bards very enjoyable work. - Anonymous May 23rd, 2003 |
Awesome, another excellent story by a master bard. Once again Alex Tryst takes the reader on an exciting journey of love and heartache, never giving us a moment of peace, always pushing our perceptions to the limit - an unexpected ending, but so clever in its creative endeavour - woo, what a read. Be prepared to use a box of hankies - loved it. Cannot wait for her next story. - Anonymous May 23rd, 2003 |
This was the first story I read by Alex Tryst, woo what a read. Love the twists and turns Alex weaves throughout all her stories - yep you guessed it since reading this one have read all her works, each and every one written in her very readable, entertaining style. Cannot wait for the next one. - Anonymous May 23rd, 2003 |
Awesome read, was brill first time around and now the third re-read I find it even better - well done. I cannot wait for a sequel, please can we have one? - val May 23rd, 2003 |
WOW! Anne S. Gardner strikes again with another superb story. The gist of this one is very simple. It's about love. This story will grab you and hold you close to where you feel it the most...in your heart. This wonderful episode will take the two main characters on some tough roller coaster rides...traversing some rugged peaks and valleys to reach the ultimate outcome of having love prevail. And that's what it's all about...the story of a love that wins after all. Another well written story from this exceptionally gifted writer. Well done, bard...and thank you. - //E May 23rd, 2003 |
Very nice,sweet story. - Sara May 21st, 2003 |

I Love It....great job!!! - Warrior*d May 21st, 2003 |
ok, I could not let this comment someone posted slide by.. (I found myself irritated at the characters' immaturity in Steel Free Fall). [Click on Wizzy's name above to see the previous comments] who ever you are, please email me and let me explain the back ground of this story and you will understand! I wrote Steel Free Fall at the age of 16...at that age who is not immature? I was...please read every stories disclaimer carefully I always give a little back ground on how the story came about.. I love the feed back Ive gotten, helps me to make corrections on the last part of these ladies lives! So please keep them coming, good or bad! PS.I am glad you did like FFF tho! and the next bit is even better from the feed back Ive gotten on it so far! - Wizzy May 20th, 2003 |
I never would have even thought of putting a Uber Xena and Gabrielle with Agatha Christie's hero. But it works they work really well with Hercule and it is a damn good mystery I did not guess who the murderer was and I didn't see how they would get the killer either. A well done Uber and Murder Mystery. - Tonie May 20th, 2003 |
Larisa has done it once again! I have one word for this story..HYSTERICAL!! I was laughing throughout the whole thing it's just too funny! Everyone needs to read this one! WTG Larisa! - Melissa May 19th, 2003 |
Oh man This is one of the funniest stories I ever read. - Mouse May 19th, 2003 |
[Fan Fiction Editor's Note: This story is completed. A bad link between parts has been corrected.] Argh!!!! It has happened again! I start reading a good story that is supposed to be complete(according to listing)and end up with a ..to be continued..just as I was getting pulled into story. Can we say Bummer?..Is this story completed anyplace else? I would love to finish reading it. Please help if possible. Thanx. - elfcat253 May 19th, 2003 |
Great sequel. I found myself irritated at the characters' immaturity in Steel Free Fall. However, it all makes sense when you read this sequel. In Free Falling Fate the characters' experience emotional growth and are able to connect more deeply. Looking forward to the next story of this trilogy. - Anonymous May 19th, 2003 |
Absolutely hilarious!!! And, soooo very Larisa!!! The Village may be short on pages, but is definitely long on laughs, so, if you need a bunch of giggles, in short order, this is the perfect story for you to read...right now!!! |
MULLIGAN and its sequel are fantastic. KG's stories are crisp, clean and fun to read! "Aces!" - I.M. May 18th, 2003 |
A stunning centerpiece for a trilogy of emotion and passion. - K.L.S. May 17th, 2003 |
Perfecto. I'm speechless...you got me this time, buddy. - Autumn's Roommate May 17th, 2003 |
Me gusta mucho. - D. Nightshade May 17th, 2003 |
An awesome story set in the the high financial world of an oil magnate...the power, greed, drama, lust, love, and all the accoutements thereof thrown into a wonderfully well written novella. This one is definitely worth reading. It captured my interest from the first paragraph and I couldn't put it down until 'The End'. Oh, don't get me wrong...this fictional interlude is totally riveting and will definitely hold your interest as it did mine. When you reach the final sentence...you'll find yourself with a huge smile on your face and experiencing the comforting feeling of absolute satisfaction. Anne S. Gardner...this is one extremely talented bard! - //EAW May 17th, 2003 |
With this story, Anne separates herself from the rest of the bards. She reaches far and above the rest. I have never read a story like this before. It is unique and brilliantly woven. Her sense of detail to an imaginary world is fascinating. Her creativity blows my mind and her ability to effectively express what her vastly creative mind has created is awe-inspiring. Run, do not walk to read this story. - S. Lee May 17th, 2003 |
This series is amazing. I have finally read all of Anne's work. Her writing is so unusual, with great depth. I love how she gives you a complete sense of her characters and the environments in which they live. The way she connects her characters in this series, relating them to the warrior and the bard is so complex and simply brilliant. Anne is definitely one of my favorite writers. I highly recommend anything she writes. - S. Lee May 17th, 2003 |
I have watched this story from begining to the end... It kept me begging for more each time I got a sneak peak and after reading it in its final posting.. IT STILL ROC'S!!the big T has out done her self this time around.Hope everyone enjoys this one as much as the "NutHut" (FoF list) has! Way to go my sweet Princess! - Stud May 16th, 2003 |
I must say that this story is one of her best. I loved it so much I have it bookmarked. - Anonymous May 16th, 2003 |
I really understood that girl and I wish I had some come and sweep me off my feet like that. Very sweet. - Sandi May 16th, 2003 |
This story is absolutely passionate. I love all of her stories. A must read. - Ptcruza May 15th, 2003 |
I loved it, very funny and couldn't leave before i finished - palaker2000 May 15th, 2003 |
Oh gods, Larisa! Too freakin funny!!! Had me laughin the whole way through. Nice work! - ShyBard May 14th, 2003 |
This is by far the best piece of fanfic I have ever read! I almost didnt read it because its so long, but you really get into the story and dont want it to end. Much praise to the writer for an excellent story! - Anonymous May 14th, 2003 |
OWWWWW, Larisa, how could you? You got us good with this one!! LOL - Anonymous May 14th, 2003 |
A very cleverly structured complement to Delirium Tremens (it really is a lexicon, but works perfectly as a story). Ironic, sad, witty, oddly hopeful. Vivian Darkbloom (love that borrowed anagrammatic nom-de-plume) can WRITE. - Anonymous  May 13th, 2003 |
Correction to previous rating: This is a complement to Narcileptic's Guide. Still excellent and clever. - Anonymous  May 13th, 2003 |
Amazingly affecting. A rarefied world subtly evoked. Both the Xena avatar and the Gabrielle avatar run against type in crucial ways that enhance their vulnerability and thus emotional appeal. - Anonymous  May 13th, 2003 |
Another wonderfully unique Larisa original...filled with romance, drama, and outrageous humor. Ahhh...a feel good sensation achieved with this truly delightful and sensually delectable read. Well done, bard. Two thumbs up! ~Ag~ - ~Ag~ May 13th, 2003 |
I've enjoyed reading GS Binkley's series on Lacy & Gage previously. I'm happy to note that her new story is just as engaging. The tip to XWP fanfic and readership is hilarious. Tremendously enjoyable and I look forward to the sequel. E - E May 13th, 2003 |
Well, Larisa has done it, again!!! Blue Calm kept me in constant giggle mode, with a few happy tears thrown in along the way. Ripples and Furball, the idiots, are hilarious, and watching Mama try to control her brood kept me in stitches. And I have to say, either Larisa has lived the most diverse life ever on this planet, or she has the best imagination around, because she can write about any subject, as though she's an old hand at it. Kudos, Larisa, and thanks again for sharing you're marvelous talent with us!!! I do have to say, though, I missed the goat in this one!!! |
A surfer, a writer, a couple of idiots and ... you'll have to read the rest. It's Larisa at her best. The laughs don't stop. - Anonymous May 12th, 2003 |
Writing Infinite Loop has been one of the best experiences of my life. Part of what has made the experience so phenomenal was posting the novel online and hearing from so many people who have gotten to read it either on my website or on one of the other websites that have hosted the story. Having the opportunity to experience all the wonderful readers and feedback the online fiction world has to offer has truly been an encouraging, enlightening, and thoroughly pleasant experience.
I was very pleased to have gotten contacted recently by Power of One Publishing regarding their interest in publishing Infinite Loop. I am very excited to report that I've since signed a contract with them. Unfortunately, one aspect of the agreement between Power of One and myself was that the web version of Infinite Loop be taken offline.
I want to thank all of the wonderful people who read my story and took the time to let me know what you thought; you all made the online experience a truly fantastic one. I hope those of you who enjoyed the story will keep an eye out for its publication - hopefully by Fall/Winter 2003.
I plan to continue posting short fiction online, and I hope everyone will keep reading.
Sincerely,
Meghan O'Brien
I gotta to tell you I loved the original movie but I thought this was different. The story flowed in a new direction and covered issues the original never did. I also really like that Jackie has such an interesting charachter. Its wonderful to watch her discover herself as we do. Thanks - Jean May 12th, 2003 |
So Taleweaver has given us an underground world, with a literate creature, an ugly and cannibalistic mob and an adventure I can't get enough of. So where's the appeal you ask? In it's uniqueness and originality. Where's the rest, bard? - Wayne T. Oates May 9th, 2003 |
Kill Tarie...I never liked her. Perhaps a nice upper respiratory infection or a truck runs over her toe and she gets gangrene and succumbs to infection. Or a serial killer...ooo ooo yes, a serial killer. Or you can write me into the story and I'll beat her with my pointy stick! The condescending little twit needs to go bye bye! hate ya buddy!lol! Ive read the 3rd part an its a bummer Tarie dont get it then either! - I HATE TARIE FAN! May 9th, 2003 |
OKAY YOU JUST HAVE TO RUN AND READ THIS STORY!! It is one of the best out there. It grabs ahold of you and doesn't let go. You won't care either....when you are done you will beg for more and beg you must. Wizzy has a great sense of what her characters are going through. You can see everything in your mind as she paints a vivd picture with her words..MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE!! - T. Stratton May 9th, 2003 |
ANY CHANCE OF A SEQUEL??? - Anonymous May 8th, 2003 |
It made me want to bring all my troubles to the beach for that kind of help. - Laura May 8th, 2003 |
Intense, satisfying and leaves you wanting to read more of this bard's work. - NET May 7th, 2003 |
Poor Xena we get an idea how the Warrior's mind works and that she is human. Its such a sweet loving look at the Warrior and the Bard. - Harri May 7th, 2003 |
Why haven't any of Larisa's stories been published? I would love to have an anthology of her stories! I'd be the first in line to buy any of her books. The only problem would be trying to select just which stories to publish. Thanks, Larisa, for all the laughs and many hours of enjoyment you have given us. - Anonymous May 6th, 2003 |

The story of Kori Eaton and Skylar Whitney. An unusual meeting turns into an unforgettable night. A recently singled Kori, has been "living" at the Shopaholics Department store when one night, she finds out she is not alone in the store. A soon to be unhappily married Skylar, loses track of time (in the ladies room) to discover she was locked in the building with this stranger till morning. The events of the night would change both women forever. This tale was fun-loving and creative in nature, but most of all it had loads of that romantic stuff I crave. I would happily recommend this story. - Di Bauden May 6th, 2003 |
Amazing. This story has me totally taken in. I could not put it down until I had savored each and every page. Now all I can say is that I am still hungry, when will the next part be online so I may devour it? In all honesty this story is truly amazing. I give it 10 stars and recommend it to everyone. - Jazz May 6th, 2003 |
Wonderful, just wonderful. Waiting for the next part to be posted. - A. Nonny Mouse May 6th, 2003 |
Incredible story. Absolutely loved it. It just keeps getting better and better with each new one you show us. :) Gotta love those sexy surfers. ;-) Keep up the excellent writing! I do have one question however.... Where can I get a copy of that poster??? *drool* - Caden May 6th, 2003 |
I just finished afraid of the dark and it was excellant, I am now going to read the rest of this authors works. the only thing wrong with this story is that it needed to be longer, much, much longer. enjoy - peggy May 5th, 2003 |
This story, like its predecessor, is great! The charm of the piece comes from the fact that the characters sound just like they would in real life! Goodness the accent affectations and off-the-wall grammar just scream Southern, y'all! ;-) They are ALL insane, and you just can't wait to see what they do next! Keep them coming up with new antics Larisa, and thanks for the tears from laughter! - Anastacia13 May 5th, 2003 |
This story grips you from the very beginning and won't let you go, leading you through twists and turns at a breakneck speed until it finally returns you to a safe, happy place. But for how long? Keep up the good work, Wizzer. I'm looking forward to another one. - K. Murphy May 5th, 2003 |
I think the idea for the story was really good, but it needed some grammatical work big time. There were tons of run on sentences and the words 'I seen...' were used throughout instead of 'I saw...'. I don't mean to sound rude, but it made the characters sound dumb. Also, many times you couldn't tell where one scene ended and another began. Some sort of page break would have been very helpful. Again, it was a good idea for a story, but all the grammer problems made it a bad read. - Anonymous May 5th, 2003 |
I enjoyed this story very very much, the only thing that it needed was some sort of page break when the perspectives changed, other than that I liked it a bunch. :) - Anonymous May 4th, 2003 |
Can a story be too short? I really enjoyed reading the Warriors thoughts on her bard and would like more please? - Anonymous May 2nd, 2003 |
Hesed & Agape are excellent pieces of writings. Both were so well written and entertaining. Thanks go out to Mayt for writing them and to Anonymous for recommending them. - I.M. May 2nd, 2003 |
Love's Melody Lost by Radclyffe is just as enchanting as its main characters. Radclyffe is known for her artistic talents in both creating marvelous environments to re-live by her story telling, as she is known for the truly beautiful way that with love and care she enchants you with her words. This story of love and passion for music and gardens as well as passion for one another, is truly a gift to the readers. Thank you, Radclyffe for you talents! As always, one will not be disappointed by reading a story composed by this author! - Sammy Lee May 1st, 2003 |
Ok, so I am slightly biased, but I truly love this story. The characters are well written and the plot is fun (and at times just plain funny!) Its a charming and entertaining story and I highly recomend it! - Trin Apr 30th, 2003 |
I love how the sequal was done. A beautiful mixture of love and mistrust. The emotions are so thick at times that it leaves you hooked til the very end. Wonderful story. Cannot wait to read more. - Caden Apr 29th, 2003 |
I thought the story was one of the best I have read. Mayt's depiction of an adult Gabrielle was realistic and poignant. Years of traveling with Xena showed her strength and compassion, as well as an understanding of life. Mayt's depiction of Xena is the one I like the most of my readings as strong, intuitive wise and wonderful. With a strong sense of herself that guides her and keep her focus. She loves Gabrielle but doesn't allow her to control her. So often authors write Xena and Gabrielle as wondering travelers that are absorbed with each other. Mayt writes them as two people who has recognized each other strengths and weaknesses and learned from them. They are separated, yet they are one. They each have grown with an awakeness. Gabrielle has gained such wisdom from her association from Xena, she is a beautiful woman and no longer the little girl. Mayt's story is the first I read that showed the two as true soul mates. I can't wait to read another one of Mayt's stories. - Anonymous Apr 29th, 2003 |
THIS IS ONE THE BEST STORIES I'VE READ. ONE WORD "AWESOME"!!!!! - JB Apr 28th, 2003 |
After a long hiatus - I spent several weeks in basic training and several more getting settled in my technical school (Air Force) - I had been rather side-tracked by Real Life until a friend happened to hint at me that I should check on the Athenaeum, that my stories were back on the Top-25 again... I thought that was pretty unlikely, seeing as I haven't posted anything in a long while, and what with my being gone and all... But, lo and behold, I typed in the familiar address and she was right! I found Taken and Spin the Bottle to be on the list, with more warm-and-fuzzy-ego-boosting messages than I could have ever imagined. That sort of a sight is just what I needed to get past my writer's block... *big grin*
I was just hoping for a chance to find a way to all-call a thank you, if you will, to all the readers out there. Not only those that read our works, but write the authors about them, tell their friends, and then leave wonderful reviews on the Athenaeum. Sometimes that's all a bard needs to brighten their day.
I couldn't have asked for anything more... Thank you to the readers, thank you to the staff at the Athenaeum for giving us such an amazing site where we can post our works, and thank you to everyone for your support.
Love and respect,
C. E .Gray
P.S.: Oh yes, all you who were hinting for a sequel... I am and have been working on it, trust me... For more than just Taken... *cough-cough wink-wink* As soon as I can get past all the technical difficulties that seemed to have reared their ugly heads, I promise I'll be back on track and posting again as quickly as my little fingers can type. I have much to catch up on! *grin*
I almost laughed myself to tears, I don't know how this author does it but it's amazing! Go read!! - Jinx Apr 27th, 2003 |
I swear this one of the funniest storys I have read to date!! - Jinx Apr 27th, 2003 |
So much more than "just a love story", Connecting Hearts is a brilliantly written tale. It has a little bit of everything from humor to angst and friendship to passion. Cephalgia and MJ expertly wove a tale of a budding love affair that could overcome not only great distances but also personal tragedy. If you are looking for a story that will make you laugh, make you cry, then pick you back up again then Connecting Hearts should be at the top of your list. - Kel Apr 27th, 2003 |
What an outstanding storyteller Mayt is. Natural Causes was a real roller coaster of emotion, beautifully written. - Anonymous Apr 27th, 2003 |
I absolutely loved this story. It was a more than worthy follow-up too "Natural Causes". - Anonymous Apr 27th, 2003 |
Keep coming back time and again to reread this one! Strong and passionate. Kept me up WAY past my bedtime! Found myself sucked into reading everything this woman has done! You ROC T!!! - Wizzy Apr 26th, 2003 |
Excellent story! It's one of my favorites. - Lori Apr 25th, 2003 |
Very well written story. Interesting point of veiw, will definatly read more by this writer - Anna Apr 25th, 2003 |
What is it that prompts a bard to come up with a story as unique as this one? I can see the heavy hand of Jules Verne here, but with the light hearted stroke of Xena and Gabrielle. I've never read anything by this author before, I did so this once based on a friend's recommendation. I think this is an enchanting tale that has to be read to be appreciated. If you read this, you won't be wasting your time, you'll be enriching your day. Read it! - S. Trappe Apr 25th, 2003 |
Hmm. I thought this was a pretty strange story. It was very okay, but it could have been so much better. I think it rather diminished the strength that we know to be in Xena and Gabrielle's relationship. I know it's just a story, but the "we're only dating" thing was kind of silly and the fact that Xena was ready to get it on with so many others didn't make Gabrielle seem special at all. I think that maybe more detail about what they were feeling and just more detail with the scenes in general could have helped. I don't think it really captured Xena and Gabrielle at all. I could picture them physically, but that was about it. It could have easily been any two characters chosen out of the blue. - Anonymous Apr 24th, 2003 |
I can't wait for the next chapter! Taleweaver needs to hurry up and show us another glimpse of this incredible underground world, and who is Nob? Highly original, but I'm impatient for the next installment! This is unlike any Xena and Gabrielle tale you've read before! - Vickie Fleming Apr 24th, 2003 |
Wicked cool story, check it out if you crave characters with originality and comic pranks and banter. Has the feel of something Larisa might write and well...who doesn't like Larisa? - Stephanie Apr 24th, 2003 |
i really enjoy all the stories and which to thank all the authors for enjoyable stories. Tas the return was a great story i hope you write a sequel soon. thank you again for a great story. sincerely - jojo Apr 23rd, 2003 |
I really loved this. I loved to see how love throws this pulled together woman completly off. It was truly magical(sorry about that I couldn't resist) - Toni Apr 23rd, 2003 |
So nice I read it twice... - Anonymous English Major Apr 22nd, 2003 |
My only disappointment with this story is the length of time between updates. By the time a new chapter comes out, I have to go back and read from the beginning to catch up. But each time I do, I fall in love with this tale all over again. It is original, it is challenging, it is entertaining and unlike anything else in the 'Verse so far. You simply MUST read this! - H. I was blown away by this story. The world and characters this bard has created are magnificiant. This is a must read story! It has everything..love,action,humour and alot of magic..Loved it!Keep up the good work Tas! - elfcat253 Apr 22nd, 2003 |
This was very well done because you can see Veba grow but she didn't get a miracle cure and speak like she wanted right away. Ri even had a part where she went backwards. Also it was nice to watch how much of a family the three women became in this next part. I love it. Thank you. - Monti Apr 22nd, 2003 |
I remember reading The Return a few months ago...I loved it then and loved it even more the |
I just finished reading all 5 parts and I found it to be excellent. I loved it from begining to end . Easy to read and very good all around. I wish I could give it a higher rateing than the list here calls for !!!! - Lilly Apr 20th, 2003 |
I have found this story not only entertaining but also exciting. I feel the characters are 3 dimensional, each having a very unique personality. I anxiously await more and would recommend this story to anyone who loves good writing and a well-spun tale. - Windsong Apr 20th, 2003 |
This was great idea! I tried to imagine what they did after they left in that taxi and couldn't. Never thought of them living in such an unusual way. Great job!!!! - Yvette Apr 20th, 2003 |
Kay is correct in one aspect. The story is not finished, a continuation is in the works as I type. Real life does tend to interfere in all things. It is regretful however that one installment of what could be an expanding series ruins all installments for her. Hopefully with the additional chapter and a more less rushed ending, Kay can revive her "it" and enjoy the characters again. - BCBard Apr 19th, 2003 |
This is the first Alt Fiction I ever read and it is GREAT! I find it hard to believe no one has reviewed this author. I've now read all she has written and I Love them all. Read and Enjoy. - Anonymous Apr 19th, 2003 |
This story blew my mind!! - Xena Apr 18th, 2003 |
I enjoyed this story so much, I saved it to re-read later. There is romance, action, and humor. I would love to read more stories set in this world. - jh Apr 18th, 2003 |
One of the absolute best! - Anonymous Apr 17th, 2003 |
[This Comment contains spoilers.] I feel really good after reading this story. If you, like me had trouble with the Ides of March, this story will set it straight for you. I hope the author will give us the continuation in more episodes to come. And THANK YOU for giving Xena Solon back...She did deserve that! - SammyLee Apr 17th, 2003 |
Good Good Good.....When is the next part posted? More more more...PLZ - SammyLee Apr 17th, 2003 |
Rouses the emotions and stirs the senses...the hallmarks of a true artist. - D. Nightshade Apr 16th, 2003 |
I found this unusual especially from Ri, I think she might consider expanding it. Its a really interesting concept that needs to be fleshed out a bit more. - Anonymous Apr 16th, 2003 |
I didn't really expect the way this story stole my heart. It did though, I just fell head over heals for Veba. She is the sweetest, most loving soul I've had the privilage to read in Uber Fandom. Thank you Ri. - Jotha Apr 15th, 2003 |
Agape has a rather more darker feel than the first - Hesed. Also, the author delves deeper into theology. If you like a story that engages your head as well as your heart, then this is one for you. When your done, I recommend the Xena/Gabrielle stories written too. - Stephanie Apr 15th, 2003 |
loved this story really tickled my funny bone great characters lots of fun - norma thompson Apr 15th, 2003 |
Cutting to the chase, this story rocks!!! When o when will there be more?! I love these two characters! Wizzy not only makes you care about these two, but she also leaves you begging for more. You'll be up all night with this one, it's more than worth it. - ne-ne Apr 14th, 2003 |
Suspenseful, heartbreaking ... as wonderful as Hesed. Thanks for producing this series.E - E Apr 14th, 2003 |
This is a very deep piece of writing. Not to everyone's taste but quite brilliant.I'd place it in the same category as Habaname - unusual, intelligent, beautifully written. The sequel is a worthy successor. E - E Apr 14th, 2003 |
I think this was a pretty decent story, but it needed a bit of work and one thing that kept throwing me was the portrayal of Melinda's southern accent. She ALWAYS said "ya'll" in place of "you" and I just found that very annoying. But besides that I still think it was a good story. - Anonymous Apr 14th, 2003 |
Due to an oversight the voting has had to be re-started. Our sincerest apologies for this oversight and to go read and vote once again. There were more stories added. We thank you for your patience. The voting has been extended until the end of April!
I really loved this story I cried and cried in several parts. It was a beautiful ending to a great series. - Anonymous Apr 14th, 2003 |
It is great. There are parts in it that were so funny I amost fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. I very much highly recommend this story. I am sure once you start reading it you will love it as much as I do. Can't wait till the next update. - Debbie Dee Apr 13th, 2003 |
I read this story a while back and thoroughly enjoyed, then I misplaced it and couldn't recall the title, so thanks to 'Anonymous' for bringing it back to my attention. It has a great balance of thought-provoking theology and mushy ol' lurve stuff. Off to read the sequel now... - Stephanie Apr 13th, 2003 |
Standard piece of uber for a lazy sunday morning, good dose of soppiness and a pinch of angst. Nice portrayl of the relationship between these two women and I did enjoy the subtle moral of the tale in the end. - Stephanie Apr 12th, 2003 |
Overall, a very good story. A little rushed in places, but very good. I'll be on the look out for more from this author. - SBerry Apr 12th, 2003 |
I agree with the recommendation of Hesed. From the opening moment when the priest gets a rude awakening, the story is riveting. It's intelligently written, with a well-developed plot and plenty of thought-provoking aspects to it. It's on my 10 favorite ubers list. - Anonymous Apr 12th, 2003 |
I love this story. I was laffin so hard I almost joked. Lady J is really somethin special, can't wait to see more from her. - ne-ne Apr 10th, 2003 |
Not sure if this story has ever made the top 25. If it hasn't it should be, along with it's sequel 'Agape'. If you haven't read it, treat yourself to something good. - Anonymous Apr 10th, 2003 |
I loved this story. It is romantic and loving with just enough spice to make me squirm. One of the things I like about this author is she is almost always an angst-free zone. Thanks Littlespit (love that name). - JD Apr 10th, 2003 |
Daaaang, Larisa!!! You just keep out-doing yourself, don' 'cha??? Tundra combines an inventive and exciting plot, with Larisa's usual colorful cast of characters, including one absolutely hilarious cockatoo, who had me rolling on the floor, holding my sides and laughing hysterically!!! Somehow, Larisa always seems to post a new tale, just when I need it the most, too, so thank you, once again, Larisa, for another incredible ride...and lots of giggles and guffaws along the way!!! - Michelle Apr 10th, 2003 |
This story is a must read for anyone out there. - annoymous Apr 10th, 2003 |
This story simply has to be the best one I've read in a long, long time. It broke my heart and healed it all in one fell swoop. Brava to the author...Brava! - K. Murphy Apr 9th, 2003 |
I found this part of the Lara and Sarah series fascinating. It is full of personal stuff as well as adventure. I think the two are becoming a steady diet for me and I hope there is alot more of them to come. - Angie Apr 9th, 2003 |
This story kept me caught in its' weave the whole way through. I couldn't get enough. It is one of the best I have ever read. Tarie and Brie definately are proving opposites attract. Their souls belong together and deep down they are starting to realize it. The story unraveled just enough to make me want more. I cannot wait to read a possible sequel. AWESOME STORY!!! LOVED IT! :) - Caden Apr 9th, 2003 |
This is a classic tale of opposites attracting one another...yet it's not. Drenched with emotion, this story leads the reader on a veritable merry-go-round of emotions written so tangibly that the feelings last right up until the very last word. I've only three words for you, Wizzy: I Want More! - K.L.S. Apr 8th, 2003 |
This is the first time that I've thought to comment on a piece of fanfic, but I liked the story weaved by Skylark and Cath. Three timelines one message. A job well done, by you both. Thank you for sharing....I loved it. - ne-ne Apr 8th, 2003 |
What can I say about this story. It is one of the best I have ever read. The way Tarie and Brie go at it is outrageous. Two people that hate each other but deep down they love the other. Both are scared but by the end they take the chance. LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT!! - T. Stratton Apr 8th, 2003 |
I had the pleasure of reading this story in a couple of evenings. Leslaureate created wonderful characters with real and tangible emotions and situations. Alex was suffering with the "coming out of solitude" blues while her friends, Izzy and Ginny set her up with a woman they thought would be good for her. Would Alex commit to the wonderful woman she had in Stacey or would she crumble under the pressures of losing her "freedom"? This is a thoroughly enjoyable read and I recommend it. Good job Leslaureate! - Di Bauden Apr 6th, 2003 |
You MUST read this story. This is an amazing story... It just gives you warm, fuzzy feelings...everywhere... It really brings the Gulf Coast alive and just makes you want to go there... It's also incredibly funny. - Feagin Apr 6th, 2003 |
This is so cute! I loved it!! - Troy Apr 4th, 2003 |
Bloody brilliant... can't say anything more... overwhelmed and this is just bloody brilliant - Jade Devlin Apr 4th, 2003 |
A happy romance in good ole uber style - predictable plot but there's a pleasant second half which develops the story further. It was nice to have a sort of part II to complete the tale...and there're hot zingy bits too. This story is complete. E - E Apr 2nd, 2003 |
Great story, I thoroughly recommend it. - Sarah Apr 2nd, 2003 |
Wow!!! Go, DS!!! I have been a proud member of The Baudom for quite sometime now, and am a confirmed, for life, DS Bauden fan, so trust me, when I say, that DS has "topped" herself in this one!!! Sorry, couldn't resist the bad "butch" joke...heh...Anywho, if you enjoy a soft, sexy, gentle butch, stepping in to rescue a sweet lady fair in distress, you'll love this story!!! It touched my heart in ways nothing else I've read, and I've read A LOT, ever has, so thank you DS, from the bottom of my li'l ole "bottom" heart!!! Heh!!! Oh yes, and I, too, would like another, please, ma'am!!! - Michelle Apr 1st, 2003 |
Sweet! - Piper Apr 1st, 2003 |
Set in the Star Wars Universe. A former student of Yoda, Jedi Knight Bri meets up with a Sith called Xara. They must overcome their own differences and still stop a criminal lord trying to take over the universe who has some surprises for Bri along with other Sith Lords who become involved. - Anonymous Apr 1st, 2003 |
This is the sequel to Into the Dark and its definitely one to read. The first in this series 'Into the Dark' captured me from the start. The story 'Learning to Climb' has brought the story forward in ways that you have to read to understand. The characters have developed further along with the relationship, as if by being in their relationship they have grown even further than they would have on their own. A wonderful story and I really hope that third will be written, so Sharon if your reading this, please.. PLEASE.. write the third in the series. Thank you. - Cath Apr 1st, 2003 |
Great PWP!!! What a stimulating way to spend 10 minutes!!! Short and very sweet!! - sapphie Apr 1st, 2003 |
So, so cute! Incredibly well written and very much in character. It is definately one of my favorites. :) - Miss Rose Apr 1st, 2003 |
As usual, an exceptional piece written by one of my favorite bards. Ms. Bauden portrays the protective gentlebutch perfectly. Her affection and esteem for butches everywhere is evident. This is a well-written, sexy, touching story. I sincerely hope D.S writes a sequel. These are great characters and I would love to see more of them. Fantastic work! I recommend highly. - S. Lee Mar 31st, 2003 |
What a story! Talk about a rollercoaster ride! I loved it! Everyone should read this one. - Anonymous Mar 31st, 2003 |
I adored this piece! It was a super "unofficial" sequel to Love in Photographs. Great characters and a great story line! Good job on the southern accent as well. A must read. - Anonymous Mar 31st, 2003 |
