I usually don't do any recommendations after I read some story but somehow I just had to write something to this great piece of work. I have to be truly honest, I was kinda confused at first when I read this 'cos I didn't know what was the present time and what was past. But I got it anyway when I continued to read this. This is really a good one and I recommend this to all of ya who has some time to kill to read this. I really choose carefully stories I prefer to read and I'm glad I decided to read this one. Teaser:  Due to the natures of their callings Xena and Gabrielle are forced to separate for a time to take care of pressing duties. They agree to meet in a minor river port called Ciros in a few weeks. Gabrielle arrives first and is taken by marauders. This is not only the story of a rescue but the handling of it's aftermath that threatens to destroy the relationship that has survived the interference of human prejudice and even Gods.

I have skipped over this read a few times. But, I am glad i finally read it. It has a bit of everything, action, romance, humor and gore. Alex is a good author, too bad I have only found 2 stories written. This one begs for a sequal, butprobably won't get one. - cpo - Jan-12-2011
