I enjoyed this short story. It gave me a glance into the world of auditions and the things it might involve. I could see Jennie and how she felt reading with a fabulous and acclaimed actress. Eyes are the mirror into ones soul they say and I could see all this in Lacey and Jennie. The two women clicked in the beginning and for sure magical things will happen from now on. I absolutely loved Fire Within it is-- non stop, action packed, with a great story line. I stayed up till 4 am one morning, to finish it! Loved the combination of mystery, murder, love, and monster. I have enjoyed the stories written by Anita Louise, especially Fire Within. Was very happy to see she is
writing a sequel to this wonderful story.
Captive Hearts has taken me back to these great
characters. I love Skylar,think she is one beautiful
fantastic woman, but have to say, Tara Coltrane

Captive Hearts touched me as I lost a very dear friend who had been abducted. Took me awhile to keep reading but I am now hooked on this story. Have read Fire Within and love this story also. The two women were so real, I was there. Every moment along this incredible journey. Each character, every place written with such clarity. I loved the town, the people, the surrounding areas.
Well, not all the people, some really are scoundrels.

I have found that Captive Hearts brings many of the wonderful characters back to the reader. It is great that Sky has a nemeses like Tara. She can be bad, and really bad, yet she can also been dearing. Have to say the two would make a really great team.
There would never be a moment of dullness around these two.

Then I also have to say, Sky and Bobie are a fabulous couple. From the beginning in Fire Within to now. I feel for Bobie, I feel for Sky and wait patiently for the next chapter of this compelling story to become available.

Captive Hearts a wonderful story. Characters I can see and places I would like to see.
The story takes a person from Fire Within and allows them to see what is happening after. I love Fire Within and I love this story too. From Skys love for Bobie to all the excitement, that enfolds. Would love to know more about The Canyon. But at the same time cant wait to see where the author is taking the characters, as they all seem to be going in different directions. Where to begin, so much happens in this fantastic story, it is hard to pinpoint one thing. I loved Fire Within. It is marvelous. I love, all the characters in FW. I did not think there would be a story that would touch me like Fire Within, but the writer has done this with her sequel, Captive Hearts. It is nice to see the characters again as well as some new. This story brings out the humanity, the heartache, the caring and love one has for one another. And
the sex wowzah!

There is plenty of action including a great sword fight, a daring rescue in the Everglades, enough meanies to sink a ship but there is also a bit of levity, it shows there can still be enjoyment regardless what is ahead or happening. Throughout this story, Love is the key, but sometimes love
takes a backseat to life and a person has to deal with what is handed to them.

Each character is vivid, I can see the places, what is happening as I read. Tara Coltrane really shines in this as does, Barbara Johnson and Belle Gardner. Bobie parker, reached out and touched me, she is a great character. I was by her side all the way. And Skylar Richmond wow, what a person. Too bad there isnt anyone like that around here.

Like I wrote, I loved the story, I love the characters. I enjoyed this and cannot wait for a sequel. I know the characters will be back, I look forward to whatever direction the writer takes them. Because I feel it will be another amazing, terrific read.

and the epilogue tied up so many things for me. I still read
Fire Within from time to time, it takes be back to the many

These characters have captivated me.The town, the people, the strange going ons and now the monster that is scouring the countryside. Oh, yeah, the Fire Within has so many tendrils of flames feeding marvelous characters, romance, plots, mysterious goings on and a hairy horror not born from a bad hair salon. You will cringe at times, put new wrinkles in your forehead trying to figure out the who the numerous bad guys are and get a free suntan following the characters to valleys & desert locations. The gals are gorgeous, lovable, funny and fend quite well dealing with the bad guys. Not much this story failed to weave well into it pages. Don't miss this one and encourage the bard to write a sequel. Ive just finished reading "Fire Within." This adventure
has been amazing. It was written so well, I felt everything.
Every step Skylar and Bobie took, so did I.

I felt like I was in Springfield, what an amazing town,
and the people, wow, so real.

Anita wove, adventure, romance, compassion,
the supernatural, so many fantastic people each
brought out wonderfully.

There is so much this story entails, so many
moments where one may tremble, sit on the
edge of their chair, biting their fingernails,
feeling every emotion, and loving it.

The second Skylar Richmond stepped off
the plane, after it landed at the airport in
Springfield, one could sense a spark had begun.

I have looked forward to another of Anita Louises
great stories. I hear she is working on one
