I've enjoyed lots of fanfiction during the last six years since a friend clued me in to its existence. I've sent a few private emails to bards during that time, but this story is the only one that has prompted public words.

I started reading it, filled with curiosity and hope that the author was talented. I read more, engrossed in the plot possibilities. I continued to read, sinking into dread and could not move away. Then I finished the piece and just sat, staring at the screen.

I overflowed with rage at the injustice, grief from my own loss, and intense pain from the knowledge that this could well have been and could continue to be non-fiction.

One of the most well written series I've read. I love the characters, the relationships, and twists on the fairy tales. The first person narration, especially in The Witch's Daughter, makes the storytelling effective. The sex might overtake the plot sometimes, but it is a compelling read nonetheless.
