| I would just like to say that this was one of the best pieces of fiction I've read in a while. I was fascinated by the different subsets of the story and the development of the characters. By the time I finished reading, I was so involved that I didn't realize it ended, sitting there wondering "what happens?" (for two days I might add). I definitely look forward to a sequel. - Merlin - Jan 6th, 2003 Yeah, I'd really apreciate a sequel to this fine story- I hope the author doesnt let us hanging here for much time. - reverse_ip - Mar 8th, 2003 Ms.Tryst sweeps me of my feet with this one .a lovely romentic story . cannot wait to read the sequele. - Anonymous - Nov 20th, 2004 I love it!! - dejalexa - Sep-12-2006 Joining the ranks of those wanting a sequel, here. Will Blake survive Georgia and make it back to New York? Appearances from the cast of "Love in Photographs" included. | |
| "Love in Photographs" was my favorite story from this author, but now I have a new one! I absolutely adored the way the new characters were blended with the ones from "Love in Photographs". Readers get a chance to see new relationships develop while enjoying some old favorites! A must read for any fan of Alex Tryst! She's right though in her disclaimer in my opinion. Would be best enjoyed after reading "Love in Photographs" first. - Anonymous - Mar 5th, 2003 Ms. Tryst seems to get better with every story. This is a pretty good read with a chance to see Torrance (drool) from "Love in Photographs" again. The strip club scene's "climatic" end makes this story worth the price of admittance. - Kaye - Mar 6th, 2003 I just read this the other night. After reading Love in Photographs..I just had to read this one. It left you wanting more hanging on the edge of a cliff wanting to hear more about Georgia and Blake. After Blake is hurt and Torrance takes her picture...that really touched me. Great job to the author on another awesome tale. I hope to read more soon :) - Caden - Mar 9th, 2003 I adored this piece! It was a super "unofficial" sequel to Love in Photographs. Great characters and a great story line! Good job on the southern accent as well. A must read. - Anonymous - Mar 31st, 2003 Yet another fine story from a bard who just seems to get better and better as each tale unfolds. Love in photographs was my favourite story, until this little gem came along. Alex Tryst has certainly a talented way with words, love the way she develops a plot, throws some rather unexpected twists and turns to the reader, never mind the, will they, won't they in her stories. A fine piece of work, very skilled in its attempt to portray the southern accent, that I am glad to say works well. Cannot wait to read her new story, just posted - Stick to the Script. A Must Read. - Del - Jun 6th, 2003 This story builds great and you will enjoy how the characters are used from story to story. - jd - Jan-17-2007 this whole series is great. Loved it. - michele - Feb-05-2008 |

| " Love in Photographs" A great story once you start reading you won't want to stop! - Anonymous - Dec 23rd, 2002 IMO this is one of the author's best works. Some of her other stories give a definite uneasiness (enough to where I skip to the part where the child-woman is finally of legal age) with their may/pre-december themes. With "Love In Photographs" Ms. Tryst has perfected her love of the older woman/younger woman genre, especially since this younger character isn't a high school, sapphic, Lolita. ;) There's also a part that deals with 9-11 but the author is kind enough to forewarn her readers. Great story. - Kaye - Jan 2nd, 2003 It is my opinion that this is absolutely the best piece from this author to date. The relationship between the main characters as well as the subplots and secondary relationships are well-developed. Torrance Whitfield is an excellent character sketch. You can tell this character is full of compassion and love, making her truly liekable even when her flaws are brought to light. As for the other main character, Helen, she is sophisticated and open. From the moment these two come together, you can tell something is going to happen, and the rollercoaster ride is fabulous. In addition September 11, 2001 is dealt with in a sensitive manner. The passage is emotional and trying on the characters, but the way it was written was well-constructed, and I give kudos to the author for taking on the challenge. If you read only one piece by Alex Tryst, this is the one you should read. - Anonymous - Jan 3rd, 2003 Oops! I apologize, I didn't know my comments were spoilers. Is there a way for you to place them under that category (and also delete this message)? Thanks and if I write anything else on your website I'll know for the next time. ;) - Kaye - Jan 3rd, 2003 Great story! I loved every bit! The characters were so well done! I can't wait to read the follow up piece! - Anonymous - Mar 5th, 2003 This is a heart wrenching tale. Keeps you captivated the whole way through. Great job by the author and I do hope there is more to this saga. Makes you laugh and makes you cry. I'd read it over and over again. Thanks for endulging our sweet tooth for good fiction. - Caden - Mar 7th, 2003 What a story! Talk about a rollercoaster ride! I loved it! Everyone should read this one. - Anonymous - Mar 31st, 2003 Love in Photographs is and excellent read. I highly resommend it to those looking for a good read. Once you start, you won't want to put it down...even if it's 4 o'clock in the morning and you're bleary eyed and running on caffine... I enjoyed this story immensely and so will anyone that takes the time to read it. - Stone - Jul 18th, 2005 You do know you've ruined me as a photographer ;) .. just kidding, however photographing my models sometimes I remember this story and wonder .. what if? This one spoke to my heart, as well as other regions, but my heart and dreams .. its like you've captured them and wrote the story of my dreams. Amazing. - Dg - Apr-28-2006 This is a great romance. The characters are fantastic. - jd - Jan-17-2007 great read - michele - Feb-05-2008 |

How you longed to be close to them, to hold them, to love them, to please them. You would have done anything for them. This piece aims to capture that special moment in a young person's life when they feel alive in a way they never knew possible for the first time. Reminisce about your first love and enjoy! | |

| This book is alluring within the scope of fiction and yet potentially perverse in terms of reality. The author not only "borrows" the name of one of the characters from Vladimir Nabokov's "Lolita", she seems to have "borrowed" the story as well. However unlike the classic novel, it is difficult as best to find fault with our older main character, Drew, who is such an ethical, caring person in all other facets of her life that it is hard to detest her for her choices throughout the piece. There is also a magnetism of the younger character, Lola, that captures you from almost the beginning. She is cunning and sensuous for a woman/child her age. I find that the anger and frustration people (and my own) may feel about this piece is not aimed at the book itself but rather their own reaction to it, because it tests the foundations of one's beliefs. What is right and what is wrong is not as clearly defined in this piece as some may like. It pushes the envelope so to speak, because in a way you want the main characters to find love in each other, and yet the idea of two people with such an age difference being in a relationship is tough to accept. This is a must read even if it merely to see an unusual and twisted plot unfold. - Anonymous - Jan 3rd, 2003 I found this to be right up there with the best of the top stories. I liked that the writer didn't stay in what we consider normal range of writing and love. I found it refreshing to find love no matter the age difference. You will find this a good read if you will only open yourself up to the possibilities offered. - Claudia Henry - Jan 7th, 2003 This was the first story I read by Alex Tryst, woo what a read.Love the twists and turns Alex weaves throughout all her stories - yep you guessed it since reading this one have read all her works, each and every one written in her very readable, entertaining style. | A chance meeting between two political foes creates havoc in a crucial election year. Rising political activist, Dara Rosenthal, is ready to take on the current White House Administration as a stepping stone for her own political aspirations. Elisabeth Gunter, one of the President's campaign aides, is desperately trying to keep the momentum in the Republican's direction while keeping extreme political zealots at bay. Explosions follow as both women come to realize neither is what she seems and that secrets of the past never die. As the election draws closer, will they do whatever it takes to get their candidates into the White House? | |
| Wow, this story is absolutely the best thing Ms. Tryst has written. This story has the perfect balence of plot, sensuality, and romance. please write a sequel. - Anonymous - Aug 25th, 2004 this was such a great story to read. a sequel is needed for sure - Anonymous - Sep 11th, 2004 A great read! Intelligent and thought provoking debates between the two main characters and a beautifully developed romance. Even though Alex Tryst's political intentions are obvious, you don't have to know a lot about the election to enjoy the adventure of two women looking for their soulmates. This book makes you believe in the power of love, love of family, love of friends, and the kind of love only to be found in that special person. And the part about Dara's nephew, Justin, well, all I can say is that it takes a strong person to reveal their personal trials to the world. Thank you, Alex, for allowing us to look into your real life for a brief moment and letting us learn more about a disease that affects so many. Job well done! - Anonymous - Sep 14th, 2004 great read - michele - Feb-05-2008 |

| Original / Uber | Modern | Alternative (Mature) | Romance (alt) | Novella - 86 pages | Finished | Cast: Alexa, Lara, Gwen, Alfred, Jefferson Honors/Awards: Fan Favorite In The Category Of Original/Uber. | |
| Princess Alexa, whose father is ailing, will soon need to sit on the throne. To prepare for that day, her parents have chosen a woman whom they deem is fit to sit by Alexas' side. Fate, however, and Alexas' own yearning for love steps in in the shape of a petite little blonde teacher called Lara Monroe, who captures her heart. Will they live happily ever after? | |
| The author warns us that this is a multi-hanky story but sorry, I didn't shed a single tear. The ending seems rushed and written more to get the story finished than to actually 'complete' the story. - Anonymous - Dec 29th, 2002 A good concept with well written, believable characters up until the last part. I just couldn't see where the falling in love happened and how it was so strong as transcend barriers as we know them. Needs to be fleshed out more in that respect but it is still an enjoyable read. - Kay - Dec 31st, 2002 This was a great piece. It was different from many things that I have read in the past, even from this author. She seems to push the limits with her more recent works, especially this one in which she alters the course of history. A fabulous, creative idea. Granted I can understand the frustration of some of the other commentators, but I believe that the end of the book is apt. Even though the author jumps forward in time, I think she does a good job wrapping up the book in as much as the story is back-filled with significant information. The book seemed to be about love after all, and I think it held true through it. For the princess, the love was obviously displayed and for Lara, it was more subtle. I think the author makes the assumption that readers can make the jump with her from the last chapter to the epilogue where even though it is not explicitly stated, the inference is there that Lara's love for Alexa continued to grow through the years even though not a lot of detail of this is given about that particular subject. To write out another half century would have been cumbersome in my opinion and unnecessary to the plot. Besides I think the love is displayed in other ways through the loved ones around at the end of the piece. This was a great effort to bring something new to the table, and it's an easy, fun read. Although I did cry in a few places. - Anonymous - Jan 2nd, 2003 This story reminds me so muths of the LADY DIANA story..Can one find love after it is to late? What is the price of a crown? - Nemo - Feb 13th, 2003 Awesome, another excellent story by a master bard. Once again Alex Tryst takes the reader on an exciting journey of love and heartache, never giving us a moment of peace, always pushing our perceptions to the limit - an unexpected ending, but so clever in its creative endeavour - woo, what a read. Be prepared to use a box of hankies - loved it. Cannot wait for her next story. - Anonymous - May 23rd, 2003 THANK FOR A GREAT STORY..IT WAS SAD BUT TRUE..YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU HAD UNTIL YOU LOSTED IT. THIS WAS A GREAT STORY DIDN'T LIKE THAT ALEXA HAD TO DIE BUT NOW ALL STORY HAVE HAPPY ENDING..I SHOULD KNOW..BUT THANK YOU FOR YOUR STORY AND HOPE YOU DON'T STOP WRITING..THAT WAS A GREAT STORY ..AGAIN THANK YOU.RITA - RITA GARCIA - Jul 6th, 2003 |

| This was a fabulous third edition to the series! I absolutely loved it! I especially enjoyed the addition of children to the mix. That was something new for Alex's books, and she did a wonderful job with capturing them accurately. There was also a new twist to her usual girl meets girl story line, which I will not divulge so it can be a surprise to readers, but I will say it truly makes Jamie a more believable character. The contrast between her physicality and her "real" personality is wonderful. As for Sarah, she was a great, strong woman. It was nice to see women who know what they want and go for it. A great book! A must read for fans of her work, and if you've never read Alex's stuff before, you should read this series. It's some of her best! - Anonymous - Jun 10th, 2003 I read this story quite a while ago, not knowing it was part of a series. Rereading it in the series suggested order gave me new appreciation for this story and Alex Tryst's talent as an author. I am looking forward to reading all Alex's works. - jd - Jan-17-2007 |

Alex Tryst finds a way to wrench the readers heart right along with Lola's. Everything I have read by her pulls me right in, takes me on an adventure, makes me think about situations that are less common and always has plenty of amazing sex! She has become an author I read just by seeing her name. Thanks Alex for sharing your creations. - VTXSIP - Aug-10-2007 |

| Extremely different for this author. Well done though! A pleasure to read. Makes you wonder what happens after the last line had been read. Where to Virginia and Duke go from there? - Anonymous - Jan 3rd, 2004 *wow* this is a tender and elegant story of awakening. simply beautiful. - fanfic gourmet - Jan 7th, 2004 What an absolutely wonderful, wonderful heartfelt story, but it begs to ask what happens now, and why stop there, it could be so much more. - LuvTigger71 - Nov 2nd, 2004 A beautiful love story. I would love to read a sequel or a POV from Virginia or both. - ter - Nov 12th, 2004 I just read this tender love story for the second time. What a wonderful tour de force by Ms. Tryst! It is so difficult to maintain the speaker's voice in first-person narratives, but she does it beautifully. - Linda - Feb 14th, 2005 This is a touching, well written story. - purplehawke - Feb-15-2007 |

| I have enjoyed several of this author's stories, although with some reservations about the prevalent "Lolita" themes, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Unfortunately, I found myself loathing one character that turns out to be, weirdly enough, the protagonist. There's not a single character that I wanted to care about or respect in this story. I kept wondering if it were satirical, or if the main characters were going to go through some ironic shift, but that was not the case. - Anonymous - Jan 6th, 2003 Having read all of this author's pieces, I can state fairly confidently that this is not one of her best works. However in speaking with her about it and coming to know the work's intent, if there really was any, I understand that this was one of her first ever completed stories. Ms. Tryst tries something different here, making a man one of two main characters, which is uncommon for her. It's my opinion that she falls short in the development of the piece compared to her other works. I think she should stick to what she knows, because she does a far better job with female characters than with male. Having said all that though, I don't think this piece should be totally dismissed. At the very least, reading this would show you where this author began, and reading something like Love in Photographs would show how far she has come. The first several pages of this seemed choppy and under developed, like it was a different piece, which the author confirmed to be true. She tries to transition into a completely different story line, not as well as she could have, but once into it things begin to flow better. I think there are some redeeming qualities about the book in as much as I did find both main characters likeable. I was somewhat enraged in the beginning at the injustice that appeared to be taking place, but by the end, I felt sympathy and compassion for the them as they had moved through many different relationship obstacles. Ms. Tryst throws a variety of taboo subjects into this work and for that I commmend her. She has made the effort to expand her boundaries and has put her characters through horrendous trials (all of which are clearly defined in the disclaimer and should be read ahead of time). An interesting and different read. - Anonymous - Jan 8th, 2003 Although this story was different from Ms Tryst's others I really enjoyed it. The characters went through many trials and tribulations just like any normal couple would. It's nice to see a story out there that is true to life, not just happy happy, love love etc etc ad naseum. - Anonymous - Oct 27th, 2004 |
