Y'Dan is the second of seven kingdoms to be founded by the Firstlanders.  This kingdom has recently been marked by civil conflict, and has historically borne the brunt of the attacks by the vicious demons known as rimerbeasts (online: ice demons).  No one knows why this particular kingdom seemed to have been the focus of Ecarthus' attacks, but some have postulated that it was due to its proximity to the artifact which bound the great demon to its prison.  The Twain have been oddly silent on this issue, perhaps to avoid sparking dissent among their worshippers, or perhaps because it is of no further consequence.  It is an answer that shall, at this pass, remain a mystery.

Y'Dan generally is a peaceful kingdom, except along the border with Y'Syr, where for centuries, a rivalry has stirred small skirmishes that have, at times, nearly escalated into all out war.  Only recently has the king exercised his power to create an ironclad set of laws that punish those who disturb the peace between the two kingdoms.
