Before the Firstlanders came, the only people that occupied the far eastern portion of Y'Myran were the elves and a race of humanoid called the morgedraal.  The fertile hills and forests quickly became overran with humans, though, once Prince Ytalan discovered how easily his grape vines took to the soil.  Fine wine is the major export of Y'Tol, and its production is a kingdom-wide effort, though the vinyards themselves exist only within the Toli Hills.  Perhaps because of the spirits, Y'Tol has become the place to be if one is at all musically inclined, so much so that there are several schools for musicians located throughout the cities.

Y'Tol is one of a few places where one will see morgedraal on a daily basis.  The small, dark skinned people tend to keep to either the desert of Y'Skan, or the cities of T'Tol, where they have long worked as servents for the aristocracy.  Though Y'Tol is an exteremly prosperous kingdom, it also has some of the harshest laws dealing with certain criminal behaviors.  The Cabal do not operate as openly here as they do in other, more lenient kingdoms.
