| This story was one of the best uber's ive ever read, everything about it touched me deeply and Develyn and Lauren are two of the best portrayals of Xena and Gabrielle out there, i just absolutely loved this story. - Lissa Dec 30th, 2005 |
| Wow! What can I say? The writing, as expected, is top notch, the characters vivid and realistic. Awesome stuff again Finger! Love the character of Ashley. Gotta love a narky copper!!!!! - Polar Dec 29th, 2005 |

| As 2005 nears its end and 2006 begins to bloom, one must be reminded of what life is all about... LOVE! This wonderfully written essay tells us what to search for, how to take care of it and that dreams do come true. MS Anderson's profound missive touches the heart, opens the soul and rings true for not only this life but eternity. My Whole Life, I have searched for the 'one' and now I know she exists. Thank you MSA! - Anonymous Dec 26th, 2005 |
| Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! When I finished reading this Holiday weekend, I realized I had consumed Fingersmith's stories in the reverse order they were written. It's a testament to her marvelous talent that her ability seems as polished in the first as it did in the last. Another wonderfully woven tale told with humor, insight, imagination and love. I am avidly awaiting the next story from this gifted author! - Therese Dec 26th, 2005 |

| I just found this wonderful story and can't wait for more. Amazing and very very funny. Found myself laughing out loud. - Wendi Dec 26th, 2005 |
| What a delight! You've seen the references in previous comments to the "dark" nature of this tale, but for me there were hidden sparkling gems. References to American music, movies and cartoons(Scooby-Doo) with the interspersed English idioms such as "gob smacked" brought a smile to my face time and again! This is one talented author!! What a well-crafted, thghtly-woven story! Thanks yet again, Fingersmith, for sharing your wonderful imagination in such a stellar manner. - Therese Dec 26th, 2005 |
| What a marvelous read! Writing in first person is daring and this author has fulfilled the dare with style. The story is full up with angst, humor, love and just plain real life. I'd recommend the novel to my Mom (she's a former teacher and a fellow reader of the "avid" ilk) - and that's the highest compliment I can give. Thanks for sharing your talent Fingersmith, you've been added to my short list of favorites! - Therese Dec 26th, 2005 |
| Warm and true to Amazons all over.Insightful and wonderful. Well worth your time. Dont miss it.Makes you proud to be a Sister. - Anonymous Dec 25th, 2005 |
| A wonderful story, and I couldn't stop reading it till I reached the end. The narration was fantastic and it was very cleverly written. Can't wait to read more. If you haven't read this yet - read it now. You won't be disappinted. God no. - Jen Dec 24th, 2005 |

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all my loyal readers for all the wonderful response Unexpected Arrival has received. The reaction has been phenomenal. Star Trek Voyager was a bit of a departure from my usual writing but was a fun experience. Seven of Nine has always been my favorite character, and I was intrigued by the idea of creating a story that featured Seven and expanded on the character we had all come to love. Many of the emails I’ve received concerning this story have requested, sometimes quite adamantly in fact ;-) a sequel to Unexpected Arrival. To that end, as a thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write and share with me their enjoyment of Unexpected Arrival I have an announcement. Coming in January to the Athenaeum: The sequel to Unexpected Arrival… Join Del and Seven on a totally new adventure as they go Into the Void. Happy Reading! - RJ Nolan Dec 24th, 2005 |
| I had to read on account of Fingersmith's other stories. They were all good. I enjoyed this one because I can relate to having the same feelings that the protagonist is feeling. Kudos to the author and her wonderful work. - Mary Dec 23rd, 2005 |
| A masterpiece of descriptive writing and creativity in ideas. I was moved to near tears in one scene (I don't cry when I read!) and nearly gagged up dinner in another scene.(I like keeping dinner in place.) This FIRST section of DESERT STORM is in 12 parts. Has the author completed the SECOND half of the story? I'd loved to read it, and was sorry not to see it there. It's a story I couldn't put down. You left us off with Kael and Ianna. You guaranteed the reader the 'next' character, who we all happen to love...so, ya up for it author? I am. - Anonymous Dec 23rd, 2005 |
| This really is a great story. I loved it .I have to agree that I would love a sequel. Really great read thanx Kim and Alexa. - Anonymous Dec 21st, 2005 |
| One word. WOW! McKee is an enigma wrapped in a mystery. I can't wait for a sequel to answer all the questions the ending of this story left me with. Great read! - Blue Dec 21st, 2005 |
| This is a great story, very well written. - Chris Dec 20th, 2005 |

McKee is an exceptional story that is raw, gusty and lives right in the gutter of society. The action grabbed me right from the beginning in this finely woven tale. I thoroughly recommend this story to anyone wanting to experience the seamier side of life. Well done, AC! - Aurelia Dec 20th, 2005 |

In this modern day tale, Author Leslaureate introduces us to Jessica McElroy, a thirty something professional, who yearns to find that special woman to share her life with. After all traditional dating venues fail, Jessica develops a bond with a promising respondent to her personal ad, that she'd placed on an Internet web site, When Jessica is finally about to have her dream realized, and meet her cyber mate, Cynthia, the present collides unexpectedly and painful with the past "Memories of love." Will true love prevail? A very enjoyable, romantic, and nicely written drama by an exceptionally gifted author. Highly recommended reading. - solar Dec 20th, 2005 |

| fantastic story with great characters. it's well worth a read or three. would it be too much to ask for a sequel? :D - Anonymous Dec 16th, 2005 |
| This powerful story starts out like a conqueror story does but slowly it changes into an entity that keeps you on the edge until the end. I’ll admit I’m a guy but I cried all through out this one. This isn’t the one to read if you want a feel good story, but if you want a suspenseful, romantic, difficult to read at times tearjerker this is the one to read. After reading this I immediately went to my wife and told her “I love you” because sometimes you don’t get a second chance to tell the people you love how you feel. Thank you S. Anne Gardner for all of your great writing. - Draco Dec 16th, 2005 |

In "All or Nothing," Alexandra Barton is a woman who achieved corporate success but at what expense? Currently living the life of a social hermit, deep down she longed for that one of a kind relationship, without which life would be full of emptiness and lonely nights. In walks a woman named Stacy, who could very well beome the love of her life. Would Alex allow the confusion and contradictions of her own heart destroy her new found happiness? Author Leslaureate tells this story exceptionally well and weaves a masterful portrait of self discovery amists the struggles, contradictions, and confusion one may encounter, along the path to true love and happiness, A well written fiction story that you won't want to put down. Highly recommended. - solar Dec 15th, 2005 |

Very good story, worth the price of admission, Engaging and very funny at times. BUT To borrow a line from one of the characters, I wanted to scream at both of them at several points along the way "Have you lost every bit of sense you possessed!?" and at others slap them both into next week. - -Aerows- Dec 15th, 2005 |

|
"Don't make me use Lucy people! Family, or not, you are in my way." That line had coffee shoot out of my nose and all over my monitor, and it wasn't the only one! This is like reading a more matured and wittier Larisa story (No offence Larisa, I love your work!). This is full of great one liners and excellent caricatures of known characters. I laughed all the way to work scaring all the other passengers on my train. Great work ladies! I hope there is more from the two of you very soon. And please, more Lucy, that was great! - Lucy Lover Dec 6th, 2005 |

| Another fantastic series by the lovely (I'm assuming) and talented (read and you'll agree) Vivian Darkbloom, one of the best writers in the fan fiction realm. I laughed, I didn't cry, I laughed some more, I had irresistable cravings for pork rinds and Budweiser long-necks. The White Trash Series is not to be missed. And definitely look up the rest of V. Darkbloom's writings, her Mel and Janice stories are beautiful, witty, poetic, sexy as hell, heartbreaking...far and away the best of all the M and J stories. - Count Back From Ten Nov 29th, 2005 |

| SIMPLY ELEGANT! Perfect in it's imagery. Bold AND subtle, just like the Japanese culture. A beautiful story of love, in a period torn by political violence and enormous cultural change. An unusual joining that was perfectly balanced. Light and dark. East and West. Yin and Yang. Beautiful. (Off to read the rest of her stuff!) - Evelyn Nov 22nd, 2005 |

| Here's a truly intriguing dark tale that might seem to be just another PI tale at first glance. A.C. Henley has masterfully constructed a gritty tale whose center is the dark enigmatic Quin McKee, a PI who does not play by the rules and yet gets the job done. She has friends in high places and in the lowest depths and her heart is something else...fraught with a world of hurt and then some. As the story opens, in crossing paths with those she once called friends after a three years absence, she now meets detective Vivian Walsh, one tough cop that might change her ways and mend some fences. But can the tall blonde break through the barriers and really get through to KcKee? Read on as Book One unravels some of the mysteries... - Anastacia Nov 20th, 2005 |
| Wonderful start so far. I can't wait to see what happens next. - Anonymous Nov 19th, 2005 |
|
Brilliant! Fantastic! Terrific! Engaging! Entertaining! Intriquing! Um I may run out of superlatives, but I would definitely recommend 'running out' to read this story! For starters, it is very well written with grace and style. It is a tale in the true tradition of story telling. Incredibly descriptive (umm, a little hit and miss with ancient geography, but hey.)you really feel drawn in to the world of Har. The characters of X & G are very nicely developed within the tale, while still be familiar from the show. Well done. Off to read the sequal now. - XenaVirgin Nov 18th, 2005 |

| Well, I like this story/journal as it has some interesting aspects delving into the writers character, how she grew up to some degree, how she especially relates to others and how she deals with her being gay. Location of story is kind of rustic but scenic. The circumstances are past and what you read is much like a back story. There are some funny lines and I like hearing how she deals with her life for the most part which is uncomfortable at times and even painful, though not unhappy. There was no email addy to give feedback to the author so hopefully that will be added to the next part. - KC Nov 10th, 2005 |
| Beautiful and moving. As always. Thank you. [*] - AquariusG Nov 10th, 2005 |

HI, Xanjaa and Patricia, Wow!!! What a great ending to the story! My emotions were on over load and my stomach was doing flips. I had to get up from reading the battle it was stressing me out. Nice job, usually I get lost reading them and have a hard time figuring out who is doing what to whom. Your description of what Tynet had to endure depressed me but then the human race can be pretty cruel to each other. I Liked the heart to heart talk that Ephiny and Pony had about Adara. Pony had to love Adara enough to let her be happy. That whole story line was beautifully written, very touching. I got kind of upset when I thought you killed Pony, nice one. I am glad everyone made it threw all right, I like happy endings. Thank you for a great story. I`m looking forward to reading the next parts. - Nancy G. Nov 6th, 2005 |

| LJ MAAS, I always loved your name. It stood out, as did your stories. My only regret is that I think I only 'fed' you once or twice for your great output of works. I'm in the process of re-reading all of your works in your memory. Thank you for giving us more than the series was willing to do. If there is ever a reincarnation of the series via whatever vehicle 'they' choose, I'm sure you'll have had something to do with it. I hope Rob Tapert et al did read your work along the way. Peace, sister. - Anonymous Nov 4th, 2005 |

Ambrosia has one the most vivid imaginations I've ever "seen". The bard's descriptive abilities are so clear, I can SEE Kori and Skylar driving the length of aisle 3, it still cracks me up just thinking about it! - dez Oct 27th, 2005 |
| Do you miss XWP and all that great provacative dialogue betweeen X & G? Well, read this and see if Girls Just Want To Have Fun & A Day in the Life eps don't come to mind. The spooky fangs,a wildly imaginative Gabby, sheep to eat or count, but no Dracula, Xena's eye rolling, and fending off a shadowy wolf, & her rabbit skinning skills. The funny double entendre humor springs forth in this cleverly written, suggestive short tale capturing X & G at their best. You can tell this bard knew & loved these characters. This is an excellent trip back to the early funny & lighter sides of X & G. A hint of Halloween here, so treat yourself & enjoy this little bit of mind candy! - Casey Oct 27th, 2005 |
